Title Deep Affection Eyes Spoiler
typical Cdrama making all men love her or like her and want to be with her and have an ex and ml don't ever dated…
Oh, thank you. It's mostly like that — they give the male lead a weird personality so it makes sense that he's still a virgin, lol. And that's one of the reasons I stopped watching C-dramas: most of the time, the female lead has experience and an ex (or more), but the male lead has never even tried until he falls for the FL. Then he completely changes and starts making more effort to be with her than she does.

And when they have conflicts or fights, is it always him taking the first step to apologize and ask to get back together? Or does she also apologize and make an effort? I read that she didn’t put in equal effort in the relationship until the end — even when she was the one chasing him at first, he still ended up investing more than she did!

Thanks. I just like watching dramas where both leads make equal effort and are equally invested in the relationship — not where only the ML is simping while the FL has "more important things" than him 😅

thank you

Their love for each other and their reliance on each other only gets stronger They still have a bunch of things…
thanks,

Yes, unfortunately, drama adaptations always portray female leads as more experienced, emotionally controlled, and less affected by the relationship ended ( at least with ml because many times they change after breakup with the ex and had hard time accepting the break up ). They accept breakups and act like its not a big deal. Meanwhile, male leads — even if they’re depicted in the novel as strong, emotionally reserved, and with dating experience or even labeled as playboys — are turned into simps in the drama. They act like they've never dated before, constantly apologizing, and don’t seem to care about their own lives after the breakup. Most of the time, they're just breathing and dreaming of seeing her again.

The best recent drama that displays this double standard and degrades the male lead into a simp that don't care about his life anymore after she leaves him , (unfortunately the apposite of the novel ml ) "as Beautiful as You" Cdrama, / and another is; the princess royal ml . ohh I just remember the worst for me it's like this fl always asking for divorce and always mistreated ml and misunderstanding him and any problem she leave the house and goes to her parents and she use him for her job , ohh it was a nightmare and he's one of big simps in Cdrama for me a Cdrama called you are my secret

Yes, unfortunately, drama adaptations always portray female leads as more experienced, emotionally controlled, and less affected by the end of the relationship — at least when it comes to the male lead. Ironically, many of these female leads only seem to change and struggle emotionally after breaking up with their exes, not with the male lead.

They often accept breakups and act like it's not a big deal. Meanwhile, male leads — even if they're depicted in the novel as strong, emotionally reserved, and experienced in dating (sometimes even labeled as playboys) — are turned into simps in the drama. They act like they've never dated before, constantly apologize, and seem completely lost after the breakup. Most of the time, they’re just breathing and dreaming of seeing her again.

The best recent example of this double standard, where the male lead is degraded into a simp who no longer cares about his life after the breakup (completely opposite of how he was in the novel), is the C-drama As Beautiful As You. Another one is The Princess Royal.

Oh, and I just remembered the worst one for me — the female lead is constantly asking for a divorce, always mistreats the male lead, misunderstands him, leaves the house over any minor issue to return to her parents, and even uses him for her own job. It was a nightmare to watch. The male lead is one of the biggest simps I've seen in a C-drama. The title is You Are My Secret.

Title Our Generation Spoiler
Random comment: if you like slice of life and youth dramas (instead of pure romance): Northward, and Wind Direction…
northward, I didn't like it how both brothers love same woman and she have more time and chemistry with the one she friendzone than with ml , and how ml accept his brother also love his woman and say let see who she chose and be happy for the one 🤢🙄😅 what kind of thinking is that to let you brother get close to the woman you love and take his chances to change her mind to love him not you and you okay with that!? and I didn't like the sml for the same reason he was taking advantage of her kindness and she think about him like a good friend to be close to her and try to make her love him 😮‍💨😒

Their love for each other and their reliance on each other only gets stronger They still have a bunch of things…
It's a Chinese drama. I bet you — and I haven't even watched it — that the male lead will do all the work. And if they break up or anything happens, he's the one who will get drunk, cry, and search for her for years, even if it's not his fault. I also read that he's another virgin ML, while she has experience and either an ex-husband or ex-boyfriend (as most of the C-dramas).

C-dramas never follow the novel plot when it comes to showing the female lead being weak because of love, taking the first step, or apologizing. I bet he's the one who apologizes while she plays hard to get — lol. Unfortunately, that's what C-dramas are: no equality, no dignity for the ML, and they rarely let the FL do any real emotional work.

Sure, the FL might do some work at the start, but as soon as the ML falls for her, he ends up doing double what she did, while she becomes even more stubborn than he was.

There are a few C-dramas where the FL actually does more chasing and doesn’t make it hard for the ML later — like Intense Love, Hidden Love, or Princess and the Lighter — but the majority are just about a virgin simp ML and a red-flag FL with an ex still lingering around.

but fl was not green flag and they get together just because ml low his standards and what he wants from the relationship…
lol ,just a woman will say there no drawback just benefits from high body count , maybe women like men with experience but men don't specially for the one they love and want to marry, they will sleep with high body count because it's just a one time thing but fie a wife the less she had the better for men,

there other drawbacks of dating a woman with high body count but I know women don't agree or even think of because it's something they don't have so they will say having high body count is good to have good sex , but it's a false reason to have high body count, specially the way this fl have it ,just because men also do it so she also wants to do it and want others to nit say anything about it,

With The First Frost, we were all delighted that Sang Yan never gave up all these years; we were downright obsessed.…
This is the absurd double standard in C-dramas and K-dramas, and the majority of viewers (mostly women) seem to like it. They enjoy watching perfect male leads who act like servants—loving unconditionally, treating the female leads like queens and princesses, never getting mad or angry at them, always being understanding, and constantly sacrificing for them. These male leads never expect an apology or for the female leads to do anything for them in return.

At the same time, many viewers dislike female leads who do less than half of that for the male leads in certain dramas—like Hidden Love, Lighter and Princess, or others—and label those female leads as "doormats" or worse. It’s not even about equality for them ; they want superiority over men.

They call a woman who takes care of the house and cooks for her man a "servant," but when a man does all that and works outside, they say he’s a "green forest" (a dream man), and that’s what love looks like. It always amazes me how some women think this is okay.

Life is harder for men in this regard. Women often lack empathy for traumatized men. They don’t even consider that men should act a certain way or express vulnerability, nor do they think that trauma might affect men's decisions.

I'm not saying all women think like this but unfortunately majority think like this at least in this app like green forest mls ( simps) but dislike fls green forest for mls ( because she's not a strong independent feminist even if she's independent and strong) because they think making men Simps for them is what makes them strong independent, and if she did something for a man it's making her weak and submissive lol , best example for me is the kdrama queen of tears,

If you watched Fireworks of My Heart, you will know the director used boiling water to represent hot kiss scenes.…
but why some dramas do it openly but some has to censored and not even a long kissing to implies it but using boiling water and wake up fully dressed is not saying much 😅🤣 !?
