I tot that was an ironic reference to FL, and maybe hint that ML might be aware much earlier that FL is not a…
I just thought it was a hilarious counterpoint to when the mask is taken off to reveal that really ugly scrunched up mug. Totally missed the double meaning there. ^^
Keeps making me want to put on a tie-dyed skirt and smoke something questionable.
Just watching ep 21 with the walking scene ~12-15 mins in. lmfao. Not just the sound director! XD There is no way twanging Wu's hair makes that sound...
The fact is not the sausage that make it vulgar but the chanting is. But i still like Oscar in whichever version…
I've been wondering whether they were trying to make the kiwi part of the sausage in-joke. That is, kiwis being oval shaped and hairy (wink wink), but I don't know why they couldn't just stick with the sausage line of joke.
I'm not against a novel being adjusted (so to speak) when it's translated on to the screen, so long as there is some reason or rhyme to the change. But what did changing to a kiwi achieve in the end?
Oh dear. I hope this isn't one of things where, once it's pointed out, from now on you'll always notice it. I'd hate to have ruined it for you. ><
Yeah. Slightly muffled enunciation. Kinda bland intonation. It's not to say I wouldn't like such a dopey sounding voice in a close friend. It's very soothing. But that's precisely the problem. A voice that'll send me off to a sound sleep better than a cup of camomile tea isn't exactly the voice I'd expect in a daring young protagonist.
It's just my opinion, and as apocalib mentioned 'to each their own'. It's not stopping me from enjoying the series.
Edit: A good comparison is the voice of the character of the Master. Clear. Concise. Infused with ... I don't what the best word is... but infused with sufficient dramatic intent to be interesting and not send me off to sleep.
I have a vague recollection reading a translated article of a director (or some similar position) who was had hired Xiao Zhan before The Untamed came out and had become famous.
When I say vague, I mean vague. I don't have much confidence in my memory.
"....so I'm not sure which early work you are referring to...."
I reserve the right to be utterly wrong.
; )
It seemed to get a bit better and be a little less like someone speaking after they'd suffered a concussion after the 1 episode had past. Maybe I'm adapting. ^^
Well I did hear this was like, one of his first acting gigs or something aong those lines, and I'm only 2 episodes in, so we'll see how it goes along as it gets further into the story. ^^
Mind, I don't speak Chinese, this is purely IMHO from the voice.
It's completely lacklustre. Bland. There's no character in it. More than that, he sounds like he'd have difficulty with an IQ test. It sounds like he's got half his throat closed, or has a cold and not only has his nasal passages blocked, but is just about knocked out from the cold meds.
Just IMHO.
Edit : Someone please tell me this isn't Xiao Zhan's actual speaking voice. I can't believe it.
Is it good ?? Is there any romance or atleast some bonding and chemistry between the ml and fl
It's not a romance really, though you can read between the lines with some characters if you've a mind to.
It could be said it's a romance not of sexual love, but a romance of the relationships built, the growth developed and the trials overcome through specifically the world of online gaming, and competition.
Because it's not a romance it's not really a ML + FL story, however bonding is built with new relationships, and reflected upon by reviewing past relationship history of existing relationships (again, by relationship I'm not referring to the sexual kind).
People be having different expectations, that's all.

What plot holes are you referring to?
Yes, it's worth it.
