What to watch next depends on what it was that made you re-watch it. :)

The following suggestions are primarily based on a sassy FL/cold ML outline you give, not so much the plot/story (ie memory loss).

'The Moon Brightens for You.'

I hesitate to suggest 'The Rise of Phoenixes' not because it isn't a brilliant series (it is), but the ending really sucked in the opinion of a good many viewers. (Definitely not happy).

'Under the Power'. They pad out the plot for the extended number of episodes with the 2nd couple's story and that dragging out really starts to grate with the length of it all, but that said, that rooftop kiss scene set to Charlie Zhou Shen's song 'Wish' is pure magic.

'The Romance of Hua Rong', perhaps.

'The Legends'. Good fantasy, eye candy male stars, the plot is draggy a bit in the latter episodes, but the characters are memorable.

'Story of Yanxi Palace', maybe?

'An Oriental Odyssey', 'Princess Silver' and 'Legend of Fu Yao' might also fit the sassy/cold description at a distance ... well not that much I suppose, but still good fantasy/wuxia series' with strong FLs. In 'Princess Silver' Leo Luo's supporting role is excellent. Just IMHO. But then, I don't want to overhype his role and have you be disappointed.

Technically, on WeTV at least, there is a final 37th 'episode' that is only 6 m inutes in length. Basically it's an edit of a few scenes of them experiencing a happy ending via experiencing a life together through the prism of their shared memories.

I'm guessing they got a few compaints in China about the couple not having a happy ending together so WeTV likely cut that 37th episode together and tacked it onto the end to fix that issue.

Has nothing to do with her acting skills.

Has everything to do with enabling a positive view of anorexia not only in the viewing audience but also within the people themselves in this and related image-based industries.

So I guess you're saying that, in the series, she didn't have the anorexic vibe she gave me in that poster.

When I first saw a poster for it in which the FL is holding the ML's lapel, leaning back, wearing a red dress, I looked at her skinny arms and neck and thought 'holy crap, she looks anorexic' and was immediately turned off. That said, posters can be, what's the term ... 'airbrushed' I think.

Given chinese censorship it's highly likely to be a bromance instead of rom-com.

But given the nature of the luck differential between Hua Cheng and Xie Lian, it kinda makes sense as a title, since as a title it's referring to a part of their relationship.

Maybe this aspect is what the script will focus on?

Chen Guo is perhaps only average intelligence, but is definitely still strong and independent!

The Golden Princess of Guild Excellent Dynasty is that kind of male leeching female player that other female players tend to hate. The 'male leeching' behaviour means I wouldn't describe her as being 'independent'. But then, she's only a part of the story. A very very small part, just like her very very small personality. (/virtual bitchslap to the Golden Princess ;D)

Don't forget, he's a gaming dweeb who's close to 25 without a (known) girlfriend who's been hiding away from society because of the fake ID issue. It's possible that he simply hasn't put enough effort into researching aesthetic grooming standards a potential human mate might desire.

With the amount of research effort he puts into his pro gaming career, I'm pretty sure if he ever became focussed on hooking up for the long term he'd be BOSS at it.

They made her somewhat ditzy in the live series. In the novel she's roughly average intelligence (possibly slightly higher than average, I mean she is able to run a business and manage her staff after all), but still quick to anger. However that anger is simply a reflection of her passionate nature. She's a passionate and loyal fan to Su Mu Cheng (and also Ye Qiu), and has certain ethical standards regarding the degree of shamelessness people should not be using when playing Glory. Standards which Ye Xiu has no compunction with dropping below, should he encounter an opponent who is just as shameless.

If you're only up to 11, then I think in earlier chapters/episodes she comes across as a bit of an asshole both because of her easy anger and because, since she doesn't know just who Ye Xiu is, she assumes he is a some what of an arse because of some of the (justifiably) arrogant things he says.

If she's irritating you this degree, try to keep this thought in mind : he clearly had no skill to be hired as a network manager in an internet cafe. She hired him purely because he's good at Glory, and she loves Glory. She didn't even fire him when he screwed up. Because she loves Glory.

I think that's a big tick in her favour as a character. The anger can be linked to her passion for Glory, so then that also can be accepted. Just IMHO.

Possibly I dwell over this story a bit too much.

I'm unfamiliar with asian languages so I don't know whether it's more correct to separate 2nd and 3rd names, or to link them together.

Ie. Su Mu Cheng, or Su Mucheng

Also, do chinese names have a 'middle' name like english names, that is usually just left out?

An english example Mary Kate Smith would be usually just introduced as Mary Smith.

If chinese names do have a 'middle' name which might be dropped off, which is it? The 2nd or last listed name?
