Just finished this! 9/10I watched this because of Leo Wu, as he was Fei Lu from NIF!And wow! Dilraba Dilmurat…
Dilraba Dilmurat - same. I think I might be cured of my Bai Feng Jiu caused phobia because of her Li Changge.
Leo Wu - he hadn't really been on my radar before, but now with this, and Guardians of the Ancient Oath, and (to a lesser extent) Fight Breaks Sphere, I've decided to keep an eye out for him in future. He really has a presence on screen.
This series over all was lovingly crafted. Loved every minute.
Really want to see a sequel featuring the adventures of either Situ Lang Lang & Yuan, or San Niang. Or both!
"Let's start : I was thinking that whether should I write the review about "No Boundary" or not! But (yeah) here I am. Sorry I won't beat around the bush and will get right back to review. Many of you people or there might be all of you prior to watching the drama may have went through the comment section well there was a time where I dropped some great dramas while going through the comment section. So, let's do it."
...is a prime example of your mentioned 'beating around the bush'.

You gave me a good lol because of it anyway, so all is good.
I’m at the ep 12, but i don’t know if i can continue watching this because of the FL. In the beginning she…
You got up to 12?
I'm up to 8. Loved her at first. Quirky funny character. Then after a few episodes she turned psycho ex-girlfriend. Now the initially bad assed general has turned into a Days of Our Lives drama queen.
Honestly, it's quite bad, but those who fell in love with second couple enjoy watching, because their scenes are…
I hated his character portrayal in Ever Night s2 because it seemed so different to the way Arthur Chen played it in s1 (ie a casual, positive character vs s1's somewhat surly teenager). But then I considered possibly that was more the fault of the director than him as the actor, so I wasn't ready to totally dismiss him as an actor. And given that he was actually portraying emotion to some degree in EN s2 I'm willing to forgive him for being more of a board in this series.
Both occasions can be written off as directors giving him poor direction.
That said, as an actor he just doesn't grab my attention anywhere near to the degree, for example, an actor like Leo Luo does. Leo Luo draws your (or at least my) notice in every scene. Dylan is like ... uh okay, that's him, the male lead, alright then.
I don't get why Dylan has all this buzz.
Is he one of those 'idols' I hear mentioned now and then?
Making ChuChu dress up as the emperor was a huge weak link. I can suspend a lot of disbelief in watching a good story, but that was a huge leap too far for me. That wasn't simply a stroll through the local park of disbelief suspension, that was humanity walking on the sun level of disbelief suspension.
I’m more irritated with the dragon king deadpan look and how the couple got zero chemistry with each other,…
I'm frankly gobsmacked people criticise the ML for his bland facial expression, then go on about how much they love the 2nd couple. As if the 2nd ML doesn't also have the blandest of facial expressions.
Ah, whatever floats people's boats I guess.
Can others at least agree that the ML cuts a dayum fine figure in his blue soldier's uniform? ;P
THIS. Omg when he said can’t wait for her 18th birthday and when he stopped the wedding. HIS FACE AT THE END…
lol lucky you ^^. I thought I'd try learning chinese so I wouldn't have to wait for the subs ... but that was over a year ago. I really should put more effort into it but it just seemed like too big a task so I gave up. ><
Can I ask, if you were to recommend to someone how to start learning chinese, would you recommend focusing on pinyin, or the chinese characters (which simplified or traditional?), learning to speak it before learning the writing, or some other method?
Zhu Zan Jin's previous stint in The Untamed it seems has ruined me for suspecting his character's hidden motives.
Ever since his Immortal of Fate's interactions with Yuchi in the first two episodes I've suspected his Immortal of Fate has an attraction of some sort towards Yuchi and therefore whatever he does that might interfere between Yuchi and the FL is suspect.
For example ... a healing pill that coincidentally means Yuchi shouldn't use his powers for a few weeks? Yeah sure the FL will be ok ... I bet there's some crisis about to occur which could potentially lead to her getting offed if Yuchi doesn't intervene!
XD so he gets married without fucking even knowing what a kiss is. I stg I would love to see that wedding night.I’m…
The above-mentioned, plus - Princess Silver, Jiu Liu Overlord, The Moon Brightens for You, The Romance of Hua Rong, The Legends, The Story of Ming Yan, The Heiress, Sword Dynasty, An Oriental Odyssey, Su Yu, Maiden Holmes.
I'm not arguing they're trope-free, but they do have FLs that have their own personalities that aren't simply stupidly cutesy ditzy.
"...it’s probably only because that drama just hit the right spot for you..." Truth™
Does a tag already exist that perfectly encapsulates describing the stupidly cutesy ditzy FL?
This is based ep 6, I just dont understand why ML need to marry Xia Houxe? Okay she died, to retrieve her, the…
Aaah, you have little to no understanding of a secret magic that runs, not only throughout this story world, but other very similar. It is both nonsensical and reasoned simultaneously. Both precise and vague. Mysterious and yet also as plain to see as the nose on your face.
Well shoot couldn't they put him in a cage he literally can not just slither out of lol. I really need a filler…
I think I have a good excuse for this one - the snake's eyes are at the side of his skull, not the front, so he has difficulty seeing forwards and discerning the bars from the spaces between.

'she's turning 18 right?'
'yep, we're expecting it'
'me too'
Me: I KNEW IT, YOU EVIL BASTARD!!!!!

Don't know what to do with this one.

Are you watching the unsubbed ones?
Though, only slightly irritating. I've watched dramas with far FAR more irritating bird-brained females than her, so it's not that bad. ^^

'Trope' is simply another way of categorising information.

...or, in english, dramatic necessity XD
And that secret magic is what is known as...
I'm running with that reason.
