Finally got to see the ending and I have to agree with everyone else.

Wth was the series producer thinking? What an incomplete ending.

True (chemistry maiden holmes vs unicorn girl). But I have to admit, since I watched 'The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty' I'm a bit of a Darren Chen fan. I'll have to watch Meteor Garden one of these days.

Only made it a little way through the raws. Was missing too much of the plot trying to decipher body language alone. Decided to wait for the eng subs to be released before finishing.

You get old enough, nearly all plots are predictable.

The question is was it done well?

Puts an end to my WeTV subscription. Not paying for a 'VIP' service when I'm still looking only at episode 12 while others can see the rest of the series.

I'm off now to try and make sense of the raw episodes.

After seeing FL use her leg instead of her arm to imprison ML against the wall in episode 11...

...yeah the producer is definitely aiming for some mild parodic elements in this series.

oh wow ... FL actress is also going to be in 'Immortality'!? Shi Mei would seems to be wholly different to her character in Maiden Holmes. I gotta check out more of her acting history, this is the first time I've seen her. ^^

I don't know why Maiden Holmes has captured my heart so much more than other comparable dramas, but it has.

I really REALLY want this couple to get that happy ever after.

If it's anything other than that it better be done bloody well. Would be really sick of this series' producers to burn my heart like that.

Edit: you know I think my need for a happy ending on this one might be because the FL is seemingly so emotionally damaged and defensive from past traumas that I kinda feel protective towards her too. Both the ML and FL seem such real characters.

Bit of foreshadowing so far.
The comment about Altair and Vega when they were outside the city overnight checking out that guy's alibi.
Also when they were at that temple the fortune teller dude telling them they were lone stars but they might be happy if they teamed up.

I'm really really REALLY hoping the fact that ML bought the lock is pointing to a happy ending.

herah honeybuns, I think your perspective is skewed because of your liking for the series.

You love it, therefore you want to protect it.

You perceive me as attacking it, therefore want to defend it.

Thus my view must be wrong.

Your perspective has been skewed by your bias without even realising it.

I love 'the Untamed' for example, but after many (many many many) viewings, I can see where it's flawed. It's flaws don't stop me from loving it.

You were able to overlook the FL being obsessed to a silly degree. I couldn't get past the first 3 episodes because of it. Just a difference of opinion.

It's a shame really, because of the hype on this series I really wanted to like it, but:
- spamming disguised messages to him under the cover of her workplace;
- logging on to a game as a complete noob and expecting to be able to hook up with him specifically as a high level player just because she wants to get closer;
- mindlessly wandering into a high level event just to see him, not to mention blundering into a hospital just to see him...

... all these things are freakin' stupid.

Also, you said FL wasn't manipulative ... she spammed workplace notices to him, and created a fake lottery win in order to get him to return so she could see him again - that is , by definition, manipulative.

You can admit the character's flaws and still love the series. Hells, if no character had flaws there would be no dramas.

Edit: sorry for the length, I have a tendency (flaw) in that I usually end up writing comments the length of 'War & Peace'. I try to keep it tamped down.

Thank you. I'm only 2 & 1/2 episodes in and came here to find some reason to continue watching, but your comment I think has just saved me from the remaining 38 episodes of viewing time.
