Im confused. The actings are excellent 10/10, the set is beautiful, the costumes are pretty... but it lacks something…
It lacks: -overacting -excessive melodrama - ... I was about to add character moments that are deliberately inanely stupid so as to wedge in a plot/drama moment ... but admittedly there has been the occasional incident of that happening. That said, only moments here and there, it isn't like the entire story is riddled with inanely stupid character moments. -more saturated colours.
Looks like they want to end the drama at their marriage No wonder they reduce 10 episodes. Because after the marriage,…
"Because after the marriage, terrible things happen."
I know on the internet my killing intent-filled stare can't be transmitted across to you, but believe that I am currently cursing you with both fingers firmly at my temples.

Are you worrying they've cut the episodes leading to the end too short/quick?
If so , I wouldn't worry so much if I were you. Other people were pissed about the stretch of court/political episodes in the middle. I highly doubt the editors/director would've unbalanced the series to the extent they would've weighted political scenes in the middle heavily and then quickly cut the climax scenes at the end. Not unless they had to shorten the number of total episodes half way into the actual airing.
It seems IMHO that this series has been been well paced overall. I think we're in for some tight story-telling leading up to the climax.
Still ... we won't know until the finale is actually aired.

That aside, I've become addicted to 'Wish', and that rooftop drunk kiss scene accompanied by Wish is among my all-time top scenes.
I tried a web search on 'who rules the world' + 'map', but didn't get any relevant results.
Maybe there is a map in the original novel, if anyone who passes by this comment has happened to read it?
I mean, I'm glad the costumes aren't practically the neon pink that some dramas kit themselves out in, but really...
The scene earlier in the series where Lanxi takes BFX to town and kits her out with a new outfit was just laughable. New outfit? Really!??
The Ponytail must have a good chance to win this year's Best Newcomer in whatever awards China's entertainment industry has.
...well ... I suppose he's not THAT young ... but you get my drift.
Seriously, it would've taken you 10 seconds to double-check the cast/character listing if you were unsure.
Me thinks thou dost protest too much.
I would've thought he'd have fallen to his knees in ecstatic gratitude.
Was there a part of the story cut out?

Because The Ponytail is simply that attractive.
