Are you worrying they've cut the episodes leading to the end too short/quick?

If so , I wouldn't worry so much if I were you. Other people were pissed about the stretch of court/political episodes in the middle. I highly doubt the editors/director would've unbalanced the series to the extent they would've weighted political scenes in the middle heavily and then quickly cut the climax scenes at the end. Not unless they had to shorten the number of total episodes half way into the actual airing.

It seems IMHO that this series has been been well paced overall. I think we're in for some tight story-telling leading up to the climax.

Still ... we won't know until the finale is actually aired.

If we wanted to view Langhua through rose coloured glasses, (which is to say, her character having more depth than appears on the surface) her giving BFX a shoulder injury instead of chest in one move eliminated BFX from the sect and simultaneously gave her a better chance to survive.

But I think it likely we're not going to credit Langhua with that much complexity. 😆

PS ... where is the shoulder blade precisely... I need to go look that up.

I kinda like her portrayal. I know it looks like she went from zero to 100 on suspecting BFX, but (a) being the leader's daughter gives her an obligation not to blindly trust and to consider treachery from every possible corner and (b) I think the viewer could see she was conflicted over it, and (c) it was more a shoulder wound than a chest wound ...typically shoulder wounds are ones that the heroes valiantly survive because the inflictor of the wound wants them too.

Was she excessive in her suspicion of BFX? Sure. But hey, she's young. ;P

It's based on a harem novel. Every potential ML adores the FL and she ends up the first polygamous empress.

From the previous teaser I didn't know if dear old dad survived the Yu attack, but now having seen the wedding walk I do.
