..but that wasn't what I was thinking of.

Was thinking of those strains of music between 31:20-31:40 of ep 26. It's a musical theme that has been used a few times earlier this series for scenes of heightened tension. Went back to Fuyao to see if was actually the same, but nah, just fairly similar in the tension it conveys. In Fuyao an example what I'm thinking of is ep 10 19:20-19:30.

I finished today's episode releases just now. Mate I am absolutely loving the way this story is being told. The plotting, the pacing, the secrets, the style. It's the complete picture.

I can't believe they would have told it so well to this point, only to totally screw the story-telling up in the latter half.

That tense musical theme that plays when everyone is lifting that rock ... I wonder whether its a fairly common theme used because I swear I've heard it before.

lol, as Lanxi uses enticing hints of silver to encourage civilians to work on the canals, he also uses enticing hints of food to encourage Xiyun to pay closer attention to him.

Wow, Wuyuan really has his plotting claws deeply embedded in Jizhou's palace politics hey ... because I just can't believe ministers who have been close enough to be as brothers to their rulers would actually have turned on him like that. To my mind, it must be Wuyuan...

It always amazes me how characters that fall unconscious still retain sufficient muscle tension in their necks to keep their heads in posed positions.

Mmm. To me this preview implies Wuyuan has enacted some plan against Lanxi (some time after the poison plot from the governer in ep 24 obviously) to have injured Lanxi - which is what makes me wonder if the pills/flower mentioned above might have something to do with Lanxi still being able to cross the pond.

edit : Duh. I must be wrong. The inner force injury and pond crossing test come before the pills emoji, so they must be separate events.

Sigh. This is the danger of previews. Getting myself confused there.

Maybe it's related to that discussion in the most recent previews release re: Lanxi not supposed to have any inner force...?

Keep in mind this is said internally by YWY who knows about Lanxi's double identity.
