Title Dear Hyeri Spoiler
Ep 11:
Again, with ep 11 also, even though I thought so many things were wrong; I was still happy to see the characters happy.

- I will say this the first, because absolutely the worst, THE WORST part is that the key point of this drama being break-up because of grandmas: and after watching 10 episodes of this, now this is suddenly a none issue. After 12 years; Hyunoh says this as if it's nothing and Eunho accepts it as if it's nothing. So what was the problem for 12 years and 10 episodes??? She is not even surprised to see her coworkers there, who along with Hyunoh have been lying to her everyday at work acting like they were mere coworkers for idk how many years. And yet, the actual scene was fun to watch, the picture taking part was so cute with Hyunoh and Eunho giving all their attention to each other, and the table talk was enjoyable. But I wish they solved the issue properly before showing us these scenes.

- I was ok with ep. 10's ending because I thought Hyunoh wrote something on Eunho/Hyeri's notebook and Eunho read it before the phone the call. I thought they were going to show us what he wrote and also the phone conversation. But they didn't give us any of that, just a phone call and they make-up?

- Eunho suddenly becoming so happy, so bright and confident at work just makes NO SENSE. She was literarly miserable last episode, how come she be so good so suddenly now?

- I loved seeing Eunho talking about how much she missed Hyunoh, but I would hope to see somethings from Hyunoh as well. The only thing we got was a "me too"... And his first reaction to "I miss you" was "even though you see me everyday?" like c'mon...

- I thought Eunho & Juyeon got a good talk and a good closure last episode, this last goodbye dinner was so unnecessary.

- It's so unbelievable how Eunho messed up her job completely, takes a random one month leave from work and comes back to work and immediately presented an opportunity she wasn't presented for 14 years of working there and suddenly her bosses decide to be good to her.

- Hyunoh saw Eunho suffer so much and regretted the things he did so much, and now when they finally got back together after everything, when she wants to revisit their first date location, she has to beg for him to go with her because he doesn't want to go to a crowded place?

- After all the regrets I thought Hyunoh learned his lesson to put Eunho first. He should have learned his lesson for this romance to work. So why does he choose that annoying announcer guy over Eunho? And he still shamelessly claims that he is choosing Eunho? Lol, I'll just pretend this scene never happened, and it was Eunho who told him go help that announcer or something.

- And lastly that last scene with the therapist. It's ridiculous that her emotional issues are solved just like that but what is even worse is Eunho saying she would be glad to see Hyeri again? Seriously??? That is the one thing showing how much pain she is in. And she doesn't even remember herself when she is Hyeri. I could somewhat understand it if Juyeon or her parking lot friend said this, but why would Eunho be glad to be Hyeri again? Why would she want to be sick again? Ridiculous.

Title Dear Hyeri Spoiler
Ep 12:
I love Hyunoh so much, and LJW’s acting as Hyunoh. But these last episodes, it feels like the writer was giving reasons for people to hate on him on purpose. In episode 12 he seems to be always making the wrong choice. Why can’t he quickly tell Eunho that Jae Young was hit by a car and then call the ambulance? Why does he just hangs up on her? And after he does the 9 pm news his boss tells him Eunho cried a lot and Hyunoh asks “How is Jae Young?” Like seriously?

The writer made Eunho kinda annoying this episode too. It was disgusting that she negotiated with her bosses about what they will give her if she get Hyunoh to do the 9 pm news. This is not the behavior of someone who loves her bf at all.

My favourite part about ep 12 was when Hyunoh goes to Eunho’s house after the 9 pm news and asks her why she cried and gives her the necklace. They were so cute!! I love Eunho and Hyunoh and I love SHS and LJW so much! That’s why I was a bit upset that the writer didn’t give us more cute romance scenes like this more instead of the problematic ones like the ones I mentioned above. It feels like such a waste of opportunity.

I can’t believe the writer made Jae Yong have a car accident just so Hyunoh can do the news for a while. At least Hyunoh didn’t take the position permanently, that was the only saving grace. And despite all this nonesense, I still felt so happy and emotional when I saw Hyunoh doing the 9pm news. And also I got emotional when his mother saw him. They really shot that scene well.

The “goodbye Hyeri” dinner was ridiculous. Why were the grannies there? Why was Eunho acting so crazy forcing people who didn’t even meet Hyeri to tell Hyeri some farewell? Why did Juyeon’s farewell so long, we literally got 3 different goodbye talks for Juyeon and Hyeri, enough is enough. And if it comes down to it, I would have like to hear what Hyunoh would say to Hyeri too, but we didn’t get that.

I have probably never wanted see two people to getting married more than I wanted to see Eunho and Hyunoh getting married. I’m happy we got to at least see a proposal, but it seemed a bit off like Hyunoh doing a favor to Eunho by proposing to Eunho. The scene seem like an after-thought, like the writer wanted to quickly fit it there and be done with it. I would also have liked to see their wedding too.

The last voiceover of Hyunoh about why we love: It seemed to say “we love because we don’t want to be alone at the end of our lives, so even when we argue or hate people we bear with it and hope that our feelings will turn to love eventually. And it does turn to love”. Like, I don’t have any words for it, because it is just so wrong. That is not what love is at all??

And lastly, Hyunoh and Eunho at the forest. It felt so weird that Eunho wanted to kiss Hyunoh at the forest where her sister got lost. And the voiceover of Eunho saying her favourite people are Hyeri and herself while hugging Hyunoh, didn’t seem convincing at all. That’s not what we have been watching at all.

Title Dear Hyeri
For me, the first 10 episodes were perfect. For the first 10 episodes, I have never like a drama as much as I liked this one. For the duration of this drama, I have been obssessed with it. That being said, I didn't like the last episodes. Everything was resolved in such ridiculous ways. And yet, since I loved this drama so much, I have grew such affection with the characters, I was still happy to see them happy no matter how nonesense the plot got. I got emotional at the very end when they showed all the actors one by one.

For the last episodes, I would have liked to see Eunho and Hyunoh working to resolve their issues in a realistic manner: Not everything being solved magically. Both Shin Hye Sun and Lee Jin Wook were so amazing, I think they deserved better last two episodes. Still, this drama will have a special place in my heart for a long time as I don't know if I have ever been as obssessed with a drama before as I was with this one.

I know people are lauging at people who are writing essays on the comments sections saying it is just a drama; but I think being this obssesed with the show gives me the right write long essays about my feelings on the show. So, here below I will write my feelings and thought about ep 11 and 12.

I found that enough convincing, thought.I've rather have trouble with the pace, many episodes without Hiery and…
About Jion and sister, now that you mention it: Thet do seem unnecessary. About the grandma issue, the explanation I come up with was that maybe it is because in Korean culture it is the oldest child's responsibility to take care of the parents and also because Hyunoh is the only one who made an agreement. But I completely agree with you that it would be much better if Hyunoh was alone with the grandmas.

Another thing that bugs me is, does Eunho know about Jion and the sister's relationship with Hyunoh? Because, if she doesn't know then that is really hurtful. I hope that they will clarify in the next episodes that she indeed somewhat knew about them.

Do you know Korean? I have watched all of them but I can only guess what's gonna happen.
Okay,

First one: Hyunoh, Eunho and the annoying announcer at the office. The annoying announcer is getting a call from someone, but he is really afraid of them so he is scared to answer. So, Hyunoh answers the phone. He tells the annoying announcer that the people on the phone wants to meet him at a parking lot. The other announcer is scared so asks Hyunoh to go instead of himself. At the same time, Eunho is saying Hyunoh and she should leave work now and go somewhere (probably a restaurant or something). Hyunoh agrees to go and listen to the people who called, the announcer is thankful. Eunho asks did you choose him instead of me? But Hyunoh says he chose Eunho, he says go first and I'll come right away. She is happy and says she'll change her clothes. Then, at the parking lot Eunho calls Hyunoh. Hyunoh says he will go there now. Eunho tells him the sunset is very pretty there. Then, the white truck appears.

Second one: Juyeon tells Eunho that Hyeri told him that she liked Juyeon and was very happy during the time she liked him. But Eunho doesn't remember it, she says soemthing like "I said that?". Then Juyeon tells her "You are the first person I liked, I liked you a lot and I was really happy during the time I liked you, Hyeri".

Third one: Hyunoh and Eunho skip work. Hyunoh says what are we doing like highschoolers. Eunho says you did things like that in highschool? I only studied. Hyunoh says if that's so, how come you ask your 37 years old bf to do such a thing. She's like "you did well". Then he's like did you jump wearing a skirt? What if someone saw you? But she brushes him off saying noone saw her. Then, Hyunoh says they should run because that's what you do when you skip (school/work) and that it is faster. They came back home and Eunho says the pastaa they ate was really delicious. Then, she goes inside saying "oh what should I wear to go out".

Do you think it is possible that in the future ML's step father divorce ML's mother and gets back with FL's mother? Or would that be too much of a taboo for a weekend kdrama?

actually, I have a problem with most of these dramas you mentioned (the ones I've watched or tried watching at…
Ok, in your case I can totaly understand it. I also understand people not wanting FL to go to ML or wanting FL to end up with SML. Everyone has different opinions. But what I can't understand is people who act like this ML is the worst ML ever, like he is a terrible human being who hurt the FL on purpose. It's ridiculous.

Although I'm happy with FL&ML relationship, I also agree that the healing aspect is lacking a bit.

I love this drama so much, if the reason people are giving such strong reactions is because they are invested: then, it only makes me happy.

I don't usually follow comment sections, so I don' know much, but I feel like this comment section is full of lively discussions even though the number of people watching this show is actually not that high. Idk it feels kinda more sophisticated here; in other dramas it's usually more empty comments like "I can't wait for next week" or "I love this" or "this is boring" etc.. But here, it feels like everyone is really discussing the drama, all sides giving strong arguments explaining their reasoning and such.

They all look good and Are Handsome. And always better looking than the SMLs in their respective dramas. In this…
I agree with you it might be a big reason, also because ML is a bit older here. Although personally, I find the ML much more good looking than the SML.

I can't understand the excessive hate for the ML. Just because he didn't want to marry her and broke up with her? How is he worse than other ML I will write below. Don't read a specific drama if you don't want spoilers:

My Liberation Notes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mr. Gu, leaves her suddenly without saying anything, no phone connection whatsoever. Comes back suddenly 3years later without any explanation and she takes him back no questions asked.

Cunning Single Lady------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When they were married ML was at home trying develop something. The FL had to work multiple part time jobs to bring home food and pay off ML's debts. She gets pregnant but has a miscarriage due to overwork and stress. ML doesn't know she was ever pregnant let alone had a miscarriage. She divorces him. Years later he becomes successful and when FL find him again, he insults her and accuses her of being after money only.

What Comes After Love--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While they were dating ML always put his work over FL. He is only working as a waiter part time at a restaurant and yet even though he sees her calling him, he doesn't answer the phone for a second or text to ask what's up. In reality, she had an accident and needed someone to take her to the hospital. Another time, she is invited to the wedding of people important to her. He says he will come but doesn't come because some work came up. He saw her calling him, but doesn't answer or doesn't even take 1 minute to write her a text message to say he won't be able to come to the wedding. She waits, but he doesn't come.

Queen of Tears--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The ML wants to divorce FL. When he learns she has terminal illness, he feels relieved. He plans to be good to her so that she leaves him her inheritance.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Korean Odyssey, Destined with You, Legend of the Blue Sea, Full House, Princess Hours and many more: The ML insults FL regularly at the beginning (mostly about how she is beneath him) and hurts her.

Not even mentioning Secret, Nice Guy etc. where the ML makes it his mission to hurt the FL lead. Or Thai melodramas where the ML actions ranges from sleeping with FL's sister to even raping the FL.

And yet none of them are as hated as the ML here. I don't understand it.

One thing I'm really grateful for is that this drama finished filming before airing; so the writer couldn't change the script based on audience's reaction. I loved this drama so much. For me, the last 2 episodes were everything I wanted to see and even more.

Title Dear Hyeri
I don't understand the hate for Hyunoh at all. Like no way he is as bad as people say. We had much much worse MLs in the past.

And why does everyone keeps calling him toxic? He wasn't toxic at all when they were dating, they were happy together. The only problem was Hyunoh hiding his family situation and not wanting to marry Eunho. And why doesn't anyone think of what Eunho said back then? She literally said that even if she agreed to not get married, she was expecting a marriage and that he should have broken up with her if he wasn't going to marry her and that he has been wasting her time all the time they were dating! To me, it makes sense for Hyunoh to break up with her after hearing this, since he already decided to not get married. The problem was the way he did this, he might have explained things to her a bit more, there were communication issues. But these communication issues are not unsolvable once Hyunoh understands his mistakes, which he did now.

And why are people blaming Hyunoh for Eunho's DID? You don't get DID just because someone broke up with you. Eunho already had issues, Hyunoh's break up contributed to her issues as she was left all alone; but that doesn't mean he is the sole reason. I think people are confusing Eunho's mental health with the hurt she got from Hyunoh and blaming Hyunoh. But Eunho is not hurting that much because Hyunoh's actions were so terrible but because she has mental health issues. Another person with a stronger mentality would not be affected as much as Eunho. So you can't just look at Eunho's mental situation and decide that Hyunoh is a monster.

And lastly, people who are insisting Eunho should heal alone. Isn't the important thing that Eunho heals? It's not a law that she can only heal on her own. She can heal with Hyunoh by her side too. Also, do you realize that she literally doesn't have anyone else but Hyunoh? Not a single family member, not a single friend. She is completely alone except for Hyunoh. I don't know any single mental health profession who advises to heal in complete isolation. It was realistic that Eunho didn't heal when she went to the forest completely alone. Human's don't work like that. She needs to built safe connections with other people. Like her therapist says, she needs to know someone will stay by her side. I think, Hyunoh can do that now.

I don't think Hyunoh will ever leave her alone from now on. He was always there with her when she needed help. And I think until now he couldn't understand the gravity of the breakup. Because, they work in the same company: even after the break up they weren't really separated but they kept seeing each other every day. And mentally, the relationship didn't end for both of them. Since Hyunoh wanted to date Eunho forever, with this way he thought he could at least keep seeing her everyday. But the situation was not the same for both them. Because, Eunho didn't know the reason why he broke up, she was worrying it was because he didn't want to be with her. But now, he saw what he did wrong, I don't think he will repeat the same mistakes. And Hyunoh and Eunho truly love each other and they want to be together. Now, they can be happy together.
