Title Dear Hyeri
Yesss, someone said it! Her character lies in between innocenceness & creepiness but way more on the latter part…
I think Hyeri, I mean Eun Ho's real sister might have been mentally challenged. Because at ep 4, while Eunho was having a panic attack; at one point the news says that the girl on the news is mentally challenged and that is why she was depended on her older sister: And hearing this Eunho starts to react even more strongly. I think, this might be a hint that Eunho's sister was also mentally challenged, and that is why her Hyeri personality seems kinda weird.
On What Comes after Love Oct 2, 2024
I loved the first episode so much but the second episode was not that good in my opinion.

The second episode felt just like a filler, I mean nothing new really happened throughout the whole episode. We just learned that he also couldn't forget about her and write a book about her and that's it. The interview scene was overlong and repetitive. Same with all the questions about "oh, will our love last? Ours will definitely last". How many times did they say the same things already. And too many unnecessary scenes of past in Japan, that doesn't really further the story.

Also, the music at the end of second episode was sooo bad; like really really bad. It took all the emotions out of the scene and made it seem so cheap. It's a shame because Kentaro acted so well there and it could have been a good scene if not for the music.

Anyways, I will keep watching it because I love these kinda stories and I love the actors. But I'm glad they gave us episode1&2 together, because there was nothing in ep 2.

Hyeon O is only there if Eun Ho obviously needs help. But what about being her everyday. Ju Yeon is more like…
But Hyeonoh is also wishing her well too, that's why he was trying to give her more work on a daily basis.

And with Juyeon, he doesn't actually know anything about her at all. He has told her everything, took her to his mother etc. But it is all very one-sided because they never talk anything about Eunho as she is Hyeri at that time.

Also, I'm not sure about Juyeon being stable, melting slowly etc. They just met and she stayed over at his house and he told her his secrets. And only a few days after meeting, he took her to meet her mother. All the while he doesn't even think he "likes" her yet, just curious about her. On the contrary, I think they are going too fast.

I love when they do show not tell. Even without saying anything, by taking her hand in front of people; Hyunoh showed that he is not actually embarrassed of Eunho at all.

Title Dear Hyeri
Haha yeah, idk why he receive this much hate when clearly often in life we say hurtful things to those we loved…
I agree with you in that Hyeri's relationship with JY is more platonic than romantic. He literally says that he doesn't like her yet but just curious about her. It's Hyeri wants to romanticize their relationship. But whenever she says things like "oh is because you like me? is it because I'm pretty?", he was like "no". I think Hyeri/Eun Ho is so desperate to feel loved that she is rushing her relationship with JY, trying to make it more romantic than it is. And I think the kiss was a result of that. However, I don't think she is mentally like a child. I mean, she acts like that but deep inside she must still have Eun Ho's adult consciousness because she is still Eun Ho.

From JY's perspective though, I think it is more platonic right now. More like a humanly interest, because he finally find someone who understands his pain. And by "I wanna wake up together with you next time", I don't think he necessarily means that they sleep together. Because they were sleeping in different rooms, in different beds; but he was just upset that she left without saying anything in the morning.

Wow that moment when FL got angry at that guy saying her sister is not dead... Shin Hye Sun's acting was so great just wow!!! I think that moment might be the greatest acting performance I have ever seen from a Korean actor or actress!!

I also really liked "When the weather is fine" and I think this show is great! I feel the main story here is similar to the story of FL's aunt in "when the weather is fine".

And here the main story has a dark and sad tone; but there is also the story of her second personality and that story is very bright and dreamy; so it kinda balances the heaviness of the main story. Highly recommended!

Is this official title? Because in drama they call her Haeri which is 해리 as in original Korean name 나의…
The official title in Korean is as you say with Haeri 해리, while official English title is Dear Hyeri with 혜리. Sometimes they choose different titles for different languages. In the drama when her personality changes, she adopts the name Hyeri 혜리. The reason why Korean title uses Haeri 해리 is because her psychological disorders name in Korean is Haeri something something disorder (해리성…).

That’s why the writer probably chose the name Hyeri 혜리 for her second personality, because it sounds very similar to the disorder’s name Haeri 해리.

Honestly I might be the only one but I looveed the first two episodes so much!! I loved how the first episodes were not cliche. And I 'm a sucker for exes coming back together so, this was so perfect for me! I keep thinking about this drama and for me the ending of episode 2 was just soo beautiful, I don't know how many times I've rewatched it. I love watching unspoken feelings, like their hearts are bleeding but they try not to show. Just my type hehe.

She could be his sister / dongsaeng.
Yes, it might not been they are dating as well. But I'm curious what is going on between them. Because the scene comes right after people say he never let anyone call him "oppa". So that girl must be really close with him and they are hiding how close they are from others as we see she only calls him "oppa" when it's just the two of them.

So, I'm curious. Why are they so close and why are they hiding their relationship from others? I still think there is a chance they might be dating, but might be not.

Okay, so I just went and checked the character chart. According to the chart, she is the sister of Moon Ji On (that other guy who is chasing after Eun Ho). So, she is definitely not the sister of the ML (I mean the ex).

So is the ML dating with that girl at work? Because he didn't let others call him "oppa", but she calls him "oppa" when it's the two of them and also she seems so jealous of Eun Ho.

I'm going to get hated for saying this but... that actress playing Seokryu's friend Mo Eum is really not good at acting.

Especially in her scenes with Jung Somin it gets so obvious. When Somin says her lines after her, I can't help but go "now, that's how real people speak!". The other actress' acting is just too unnatural.

you keep coming here commenting the same thing over and over again. For sure the ML dated before (the first thing…
I don't think they will focus on him too much, they will focus more on ML's mother now I think. And compared to other kdramas, the SML doesn't even have that much screentime here. But yes, I also want the SML to have as little screentime as possible.

Personally for me, I love the message though. Like even though he still love her, no matter what his feelings were; it is not acceptable to leave your lover like that without saying anything. She will not take him back now.

It shows that ghosting is never okay! And gives the message to all the girls who are waiting for someone who ghosted them, thinking maybe he had his reasons and maybe he will come back etc. that his reasons doesn't matter, it is unacceptable period and that they should move on and find someone that would actually treat them right like the male lead.

I'm reallt excited about this because I read the webtoon up to a certain point maybe like chapter 40 or 50 something and it was sooo good but I couldn't find the rest. Hopefully I will get to see what happens next in the drama!

Although the age difference is kinda off-putting. Like c'mon 14 years is just too much. I don't remember there being such a huge age difference in the webtoon.

Can't believe the comments here. I love this drama sooo much. I think this is one of the best dramas for me. The leads' interactions are super heart fluttering but also really realistic at the same time. And I love the ML's character sooo much, I think he might be my ideal type of personality for a ML.

I find it very weird whenever we have a drama where one of the leads has a one sided crush for more than 5 years…
But the thing is, there is nothing here that show he had feelings for her all these years and was unable to move on. Maybe there were other people for him in between but when he goes back to Korea he was single and he sees her again all his feelings came back to him suddenly?
