If you think a funny, warm, well-acted, well-written, well-directed drama where a passionate ml fights for justice for the downtrodden, such as women being molested in ep 15, at the cost of his own life, is "barely watchable" by ep 16, drop it. It's not your type. There are many cheesy, even smutty, if that's more to your liking, romance-filled dramas that might be more to your taste.

Good point, advertisers and investors are the ultimate judge of this circus as they are more concerned about financial obligations and market reputation. It's mostly critical thinking for them; fallen-idol-worship should have no part in their business strategy. Otherwise, they won't thrive. Dropping a pervert as a face of their brand is the only wise option.

All the family of Kim Saeron wanted was for KSH to apologize. Though he fed her to cyberbullies just to save his project and harassed her to death for a debt, her mom asked the public NOT to push him to do what her daughter did. Yet he'd rather create this circus than do the only thing the family asked for. I guess narcissists truly are incapable of sincerely apologizing.

To the hopelessly misguided who still support this obviously perverted individual, don't bother commenting. You're among the following that I don't want to waste my time on:
- no critical thinking ability
- starstruck idol-worshipper
- troll

Proving absence of critical thinking, KSH defenders would totally ignore the 1st part of my 2nd sentence and ask, "apologize for what?"

The confidence with which KSH/GM are filing lawsuits now smells fishy. It's as if they (KSH/GM) planted that informant.

At least LMH is not always nominated for best actor. In fact, I feel he's underrated.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about his fluke achievements. It has been a mystery to me why he was always nominated for best actor with his overacting performances. Turns out, money and power get you far in S Korea.

In the novel, it’s just one body, with two personalities, not two bodies as depicted in the drama.

I normally don't engage with ksh supporters. It's a waste of time talking to idolaters and trolls as critical thinking is a foreign concept to them. Thus, they’re prone to make nonsensical assumptions such as that Sae Ron's justice seekers depend on tabloids and other sources of fake news to think for them, as if ksh’s own lies and actions such as his cringey presscon don’t expose him enough if one is not blinded by idol-worship.

I just want to make this clear:
I didn't know Sae Ron until this scandal broke. I just want ksh to face accountability for what he did that led to her fatal action. That there are other victims of his cruelty - Sulli and other artists he used and fed to cyberbullies - is a testament to the need for rich and influential people, who have been coddled by a justice system that bows to money and power, to stop mistreating others.

I understand he hired teams of troll/water armies. Thats why I avoid engaging with pro-KSH accounts. They're either idolaters or trolls. In either case, it's a waste of time talking to them.

For a while it seemed like disinformation was going to rule the internet and that more and more people would eventually fall for it. But there are signs that critical thinking is still intact in many and that blindness may be cured. As with the case of a well-known political figure whose blind supporters are now seeing his lies and corruption when they see their retirement savings dwindling, grocery bills rising and wars that the fraudster had promised to end on day one persisting, not to mention the fraudster becoming a dictator, those possessing or regaining critical-thinking cannot unsee holes in the propaganda machine the KSH team has unleashed on the internet. His own lies have condemned him and his own dark deeds are further exposing his depravity.

And didn't KSH/GM hire Lee Jin Ho to smear her then?

If this is true, then Saeron was a saint for not spilling this information even when she was being cyberbullied. And KSH, GM and LJH are beyond evil for smearing the reputation of an innocent dead person. This is what I find most repulsive about what KSH has been doing - maligning somebody who can't defend herself. All his other mistakes, even his lies, can't compare to this despicable dearth of common decency.

It makes sense. Their lack of critical thinking could explain why they have primitive laws regarding the treatment of women and children in their society. I guess they're too focused on theories and numbers to achieve technological advancement, they have relegated such matters as compassion and social justice to the background. I hope this scandal pushes this issue to the forefront and makes them realize that having such unjust laws against women and children, not to mention having such a competitive environment, could be a cause of their declining population problem. Who would want to live in a stifling environment like that. And who would want to bring a child into such an environment?

I guess she learned to love him. She is the type who sticks to her decision, no second-guessing. So she hasn't shown any sign she bears me any ill-will for encouraging her to choose someone who turned out to be moody with an explosive temper. Reminds me so much of KSH with his good boy looks but rotten core. So, we should never forget, don't judge a book by its cover.

I value education highly and placed South Korea on a pedestal for the value they place on education. Sure, as SKY Castle showed, there are Koreans who do crazy stuff to get the highest possible level of education, but that didn't detract from the respect I had on SK. Surely, with such highly educated people, they must know more about doing the right thing than countries not as educated, that's why they're among the most developed countries in the world. Right? They are #19 in HDI (Human Development Index), ahead of the US which is #20. But who would have thought that behind that "developed" facade, their laws pertaining to the rights of women and children are so primitive? So primitive that a predator can cry crocodile tears in a no-question presscon to wring public sympathy while his victim, who had been bullied and extorted to death, is denied even the barest form of respect and instead is still being maligned to the rafters.

For decades, KSH fooled millions into believing him to be a good boy when he was a narcissistic sociopath. And now that I have woken up from my infatuation with kdrama male leads, I regret finding excuses for my relative's husband's manner when he raised his voice at her in public, at least on 2 occasions, in family gatherings. He is foreign born and raised but his parents came from SKorea. I'm aware we should not generalize, but until SKorea changes its laws to remove misogynism, we should be wary of thinking kdrama actors are anywhere near as nice as kdramas portray them to be. As the twitter post above says, "Korean dramas are able to sell their fantasy because reality is absolute **** and you have to look out for yourself because nobody can protect you. Certainly not the Korean law."

Ugh, I wish I had known about Koreans' misogyny long before my relative got married. I would have done everything I could to stop her. I had already noticed the guy's tendency to yell. But it was during that time when I was still into kdramas, so I made excuses like blind KSH supporters. Women all over the world should be warned against Korean guys.

With this case, misogyny in South Korea has been exposed to the whole world. Apparently, sexual abuse of female minors is more common in SKorea than acceptable in a less misogynistic society.

It's not surprising that they have a declining population problem. If I were a Korean woman, I would hesitate to bring a daughter into that society.

KSH is done. He has been featured in New York Times and CNN, meaning his name has now the stain of pedophilia attached to it globally. Whether he is exonerated in court or not, that stain will remain with him forever, especially for those who are familiar with South Korea's atrocious laws against pedophilia that favor perpetrators over victims. Add to it the universal tilt of justice towards the rich and powerful and those who are seeking justice for Saeron have an uphill battle. It's ironic that those who scream "innocent until proven guilty" seem like they're after justice but they're probably hoping Korea's lenient laws against pedophiles could deny the justice due Saeron. But they're underestimating the power of "trial by media". Considering the huge imbalance in power between the two sides, with KSH towering over Saeron's side in terms of money and powerful connections, "trial by media" is probably the best way Saeron can find justice. KSH may have the Korean media in his pay, but international media would be harder to buy. And there was a time when the US media condemned another liar who denied having relations with a woman. In that case, it was the denial that condemned him because once you are caught lying, you have proven yourself unworthy to be trusted. And KSH lied at least three times. He will be known as a pedophile and a liar forever. Whether he apologizes to her family or not, Saeron has been vindicated. He did have a relationship with her.
