Anyways, I’m currently stuck in episode 35 on Tencent Video. I purchased a quarterly VIP subscription on 12/28/2024.…
Yup, I was trying to subscribe (again!) to VIP coz Tencent app said only VIP subscribers may subscribe to Express. But Tencent is not honoring my VIP subscription, so I’m not able to subscribe to Express. By the way, I’m trying to subscribe to VIP and watching the drama both on iPad. VIP worked before the Express package was offered.
This is an excellent drama, fusing comedy, mystery, romance, martial arts, cultivation/spirituality, politics,…
Anyways, I’m currently stuck in episode 35 on Tencent Video. I purchased a quarterly VIP subscription on 12/28/2024. When express was offerred for episodes 36 to 40, I tried to purchase it, but I got the error that only those with VIP can purchase express. But I just purchased quarterly VIP! Anyway, since it’s for Dylan, I tried to purchase monthly VIP. After the sale, I got a notice that “VIP status refresh is slightly delayed, please refresh the page later”. I’m using iPad, how do you refresh the page? Anyway, I clicked Home then the GOTD icon. When I tried to view GOTD again, it asked me to add VIP subscription again. I rebooted my iPad, still no luck. I also deleted and re-added the Tencent Video app, each time subscribing again, got the same refresh notice. I probably tried subscribing 5 times, each time paying $7.99 !@# Still no luck. That was several days ago. I still have no VIP access.
I’m beginning to think this is another ploy of Tencent Video to take advantage of Dylan’s fans at the same time lowering GOTD views on the site 😖
Did anybody else have the same problem? I subscribed to Viki, but the updates are coming one episode per day 😫
This is an excellent drama, fusing comedy, mystery, romance, martial arts, cultivation/spirituality, politics, family love and camaraderie together, with all elements mixed just right to create a masterfully woven piece of art.
So, those who are complaining that there is not enough romance, don’t be greedy. This drama offers so much more.
Yes we watched the same drama but I think I only noticed what I was presented or maybe went only to a certain…
It’s a fact that there is communication within more than 20 episodes, that the FL is brilliant at work, i.e. NOT dumb, that some viewers DID APPRECIATE the business talks, etc. It seems you’re one of those who can’t distinguish between facts and lies and just believe what you want to believe.
Yes we watched the same drama but I think I only noticed what I was presented or maybe went only to a certain…
This matter does not need long answers. Just the ability to see the TRUTH. MsNotes said things that are obviously and objectively UNTRUE. Her whole first paragraph is a LIE. Geez, open your eyes and mind!
Yes we watched the same drama but I think I only noticed what I was presented or maybe went only to a certain…
You claim to believe everyone’s opinion is valid yet you just criticized mine. That MsNotes lied is objective. Take off your critical and biased glasses and you’ll clearly see how untrue her remarks are.
Pls dont panic. Season 1 is rated 8.4 here on MDL. Currently the number of voters are very lesser. You wont see…
Those are action dramas that have a universal production goal - more actions and thrills, the better. Pachinko has an artistic westernized bent that a lot of kdrama viewers don't care about, based on this discussion: https://kisskh.at/article/k-dramas-losing-their-charm-myth-or-reality/.
I have to agree with another comment that pointed out fan behavior as harmful to kdramas, but for another reason.
Mediocre or low quality kdramas that are overrated by fans can cause neutral viewers who watch those dramas to have a bad opinion of all kdramas. The viewers would think, if such a highly rated drama is so mediocre or of low quality, what does it say about other kdramas? This actually happened to somebody I know who watched a mediocre but highly rated kdrama. It took her a long time to watch another kdrama (at my prodding), because the first highly rated kdrama she watched turned her off.
Conversely, high quality dramas that are unfairly rated low would likely escape the attention of neutral viewers who only watch dramas with high ratings. Thus, neutral viewers would not know these high quality kdramas exist. And not seeing many high quality kdramas could make them think kdramas are so-so.
I feel 0 hate for him. I just think he has very little acting talent, I understand that your opinion is different…
Haters hate being called haters, but you just repeated what they always say. Hollywood has judged him a good actor so there's no denying his acting skill. I hate the theatrical style of acting but I never commented about this overacting actor or that overacting actor having very little acting skill.
Don't get your hopes up, this guy will ruin the drama like always, everyone else will be great and he will be…
You're so used to the overacting style of most kdrams actors, you can't appreciate LMH's natural acting. Fortunately, people who actually know good acting showed their appreciation. LMH received the Best Actor and Breakthrough Performer of the Year awards from the American Gold Derby Awards. He also received, along with other cast members of Pachinko, Best Ensemble awards from Peabody Awards and Pena de Prata Awards. He also was in several critics' shortlist for Emmy Best Actor nomination. Please see details in my latest post above. If you noticed, I didn't include Korean awards. That's because I don't like the Korean style of acting.
get a life hater they had to promote jealousy incarnate through min ho's legend of the blue sea not other way…
You tried to hide your hatred but not too well. "But I just hope Lee Minho does a good job :”” he’s very lucky to be casted and I hope he doesn’t spoil this chance". LMH is highly praised for his portrayal in Pachinko. He received the American Golden Derby award for Best Actor, among other awards he received for Pachinko. See my latest post above for details of how well he did in the drama.
.the data was solely based on insta followers , but yess his recent dramas are pretty average ,also he needs to…
The King: Eternal Monarch and Pachinko are "pretty average"? The ignorance is staggering. As for his acting, he got international acting awards (see my latest post above), a feat only a few kdrama actors have accomplished.
Been reading the comments and I find the hatred directed at Lee Min Ho appalling. Can somebody honestly tell me why the hate? Has the guy done anything to you personally? Or, as I've read somewhere, why the envy? Hating somebody who doesn't even know you exist and has done you no harm is the most pathetic thing one can do. To those who belittle LMH's acting skill, one thing I like about LMH is his nuanced and natural acting that I find elegant. I'm not a fan of the theatrical style of acting espoused by many kcdrama actors that I find unnatural.
Global audiences admire his acting, based on the following awards he won for Pachinko: - Best Drama Actor (Gold Derby Awards) - Breakthrough Performer of the Year (Gold Derby Awards) - Best ensemble in a Drama series for Pachinko (Pena de Prata awards) - Peabody Award to Cast of Pachinko (Peabody Awards) - Short-listed for Emmy's Best Actor nomination (several critics)

Whoa, this is a 50 billion (won?) production? I'm so in awe of Lee Min Ho. His latest works - The King Eternal Monarch, Pachinko and this are groundbreaking, not the usual plots you find in kdramas. This is set in a space station, the first time it is being done in Korea. I guess that's why it's taking a while to complete. I loved TKEM, I'm loving Pachinko, and I'm into sci-fi, so I'm super excited about this.
One can watch a drama on a shallow level, just skim the surface, take whatever is perceptible to the eyes and ears without thinking too much. Some dramas are made for this type of viewing, all gloss and/or action with no depth. What I like about Only For Love is its depth; you enjoy it more the deeper you look into the 3-dimensional characters and subtle scenes. Of course, some viewers who get its humor effortlessly may be satisfied with its surface form, but to fully appreciate it, looking under the surface brings more delight. For one, the characters are flawed, like all human beings, not cookie-cutter. Understanding why they do what they do is part of the fun. Some of the best romantic moments are not in-your face, e.g. Shi Yan's first attempt at confession using fortune sticks. The humor is mostly not slapstick; unless you understand campy humor, some scenes would go over your head, such as a sweet moment interrupted by a telemarketing call as well as the layers of misunderstandings. If you prefer your dramas simple and shallow and you find yourself getting annoyed by flawed characters, misunderstandings and phone interruptions, this is not for you. Just accept the fact that you have a different taste and leave the drama alone.
