I've encountered many viewers who confessed to have allowed the attacks to affect their enjoyment of the drama but when they rewatched it, they finally felt the chemistry.

To those who were drawn to the story, comedy, romance and the characters, it is an extremely entertaining drama, reminiscent of Oscar Wilde plays, with a female lead that reminded them of the manipulative and flirtatious Scarlett O'Hara of Gone With The Wind, but with a heart of gold, and a male lead that reminded them of the stoic but warm Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice.

I like Dylan and Bai Lu's nuanced acting in this drama. It prevented the comedy from being slapstick and also made the romance not overpower the comedy. Too sweet couples make me gag and I found this cool and classy.

I hate misunderstandings in cdramas but somehow found the misunderstandings in this drama funny. They reminded me of Oscar Wilde plays An Ideal Husband and The Importance of Being Earnest. Sophisticated comedy.

Imo, after liking Shu Yi for a long time, Shi Yan has finally planned to pursue her when he requested the newspaper to send her to interview him. So it must have been off putting for him to find her not only a liar (her excuse of borrowing a power bank was obviously a lie) but a wannabe femme fatale too. So he made it clear she can't toy with him and he kept discouraging her from thinking she can flirt and toy with men as she was doing with him.

I totally agree, this deserves at least 8.5. This has been a victim of defamation by Chinese netizens who did not get paid to hold off defaming the drama and actors. That is, they blackmailed MangoTV to pay them otherwise the drama/actors will be defamed. Yup, when one watches this drama with the pure intention of understanding it, one will, easily. Unfortunately, there are those who come here just to downrate and attack this drama, complicating matters since those who love this drama try to clarify the bones of contention, like business talks, FL's eccentricity, etc.

Those who have seen Dylan in person say he is much more handsome in person, that the camera does not do him justice. I think it's because the camera cannot fully capture his cheerfulness, magnetism, good heart, strong character, naughty spark and other traits that add to his appeal. You can spot a bit of those during interviews and reality shows, but I'm sure we're still missing a lot. Nevertheless, I'm happy with what I see 😊

I notice this condition with my eyes when I haven't had enough sleep. Dylan is known to work so hard he misses a lot of sleep.

I've seen his childhood photos and his eyes look even. So it seems like lack of sleep might be the reason for his condition and the fact that he doesn't mind being on camera with no or little make-up and he is not particular about how he appears on camera.

Another abomination encouraged by social media is attacking without understanding what is being attacked. LIES are LIES, whether the subject matter is fictional or not. Likewise, negativity is negativity whether in fictional setting or not. In any case, one form of attack is lobbied against REAL people - actors who have worked hard to bring entertainment to the public. The least the public can do in return is respect that hard work and refrain from shooting down the products of the hard work with LIES.

The belief that everybody can say or do whatever they want is precisely what is wrong with society now. Freedom of speech is a right. But with each right comes responsibility. And the responsibility that comes with freedom of speech is to TELL THE TRUTH. In addition, society and social media are in dire need of plain DECENCY. Truth and decency are values that would serve society well, and those who would rather wallow in a cesspool of negativity are the ones deluding themselves that the negative values they practice in social media would not seep through to the real world.

You say you're talking about his character, yet you're obviously out to blacken the actor. TASTE is different for different people. If you don't like the actor, don't watch. Nobody is forcing you. I'd much much rather be called a preacher than an envious blackheart who can't stand seeing others happily discussing favored dramas/actors and who would LIE, inventing or exaggerating flaws (e.g. 20 episodes of 0 communication, 20 episodes of dumb fl, etc), just to put dramas and actors down. So, in your book, negatively judging dramas, actors and fans is acceptable, but a call to positivity is to be scoffed at? Such double standard is appalling and is another proof that evil has taken hold of social media.

This drama is one of the best Chinese rom-coms I've watched. It's funny and romantic. But to really enjoy it, you need to understand the humor. If you can't get it, I suggest reading the reviews, discussions and comments if you are serious about trying to understand this drama. If you're not serious, why even bother leaving negative comments? Just to foster negativity? As I said, there seem to be many unhappy and insecure people in this thread.
