I stopped at epi 11 but have since gone back and decided I would forge my way through. I'm on epi 33 now and all I want to do is toss Wen Wen out a 30 story window, she is the most annoying character I've seen in cdramas and that is saying alot because the writers of these thing really know how to write annoying women. (I really wished she hadn't survived the skiing accident - but then there wouldn't be this drama that is so frustrating). I think at this point I'm just a glutton for punishment. If it wasn't for Shawn Dao, I would have given up.

I swear, I have never watched a cdrama that the FL is such a doormat and completely clueless even though she's supposed to know what happens as the years progress. On epi 33 and I just cringe each time another woman calls her out for being scheming when really all she is is clueless. She never opens her mouth to defend herself but lets the nasty woman bash her while meekly standing there and taking it. Both Xiao Jing and Wen Wen are two of the most nasty self important immature women who assume everyone will jump to do their bidding because they have parents who apparently never told them the world didn't owe them. (and yes, I do know this is television and not real life, but I have to wonder if this is how all rich people in China act) I know I am 2/3 the way through, but I really think I need to skip. I'm only watching this for Shawn Dao, but I really think I need to avoid these women.

I'm watching for the 2nd time and I've spent so much time crying especially from time of the car accident. I'm at epi 34 right now and I had forgotten that Dylan asked Jiaxin to leave Xiyi alone so his sister Anna could have him. What a pathetic man.

Epi 22 and is there any more self-absorbed woman than Anna? Didn't like her from the beginning, really don't like her now. Edit: Epi 34 and Dylan had the nerve to ask Jiaxin to leave Xiyi alone so his sister can have him. I had watched this before and completely forgotten this part. Did they even think about Xiyi's feelings. I want to scream at the writers.

am right there now and I wanted to reach through the screen and smack her. the ML was getting ready to tell Anna and she pops up that she's the dietician. Then I have to wonder if these people know anything about "in-door voices" when she sits with her BFF in the restaurant and the friend starts screaming. I think most of the BFF's in these shows are so toxic. I am determined to watch, but oh geez, I may end up skipping.

I feel like I came into the middle of the show, they were going to get married? her family died? she came back as his maid? What the hell is going on? Ok, I get that she has amnesia, but he doesn't so why does he treat her so badly and then fall in love with her while she is basically his slave. Finally hit epi 5 and I'm still confused and I really don't know if I can watch the next few without skipping to the end for clarification. But, after reading the reviews, I don't know if I can even do that.

The parenting style is certainly different from the West. It would have been one thing to call my Dad - Mr., Teacher, Dean, etc at school, but had I addressed him that way at home he would have disciplined me then LOL.

the "best friends" are almost always the worst. This one is even worse than most of them.

I'm asking myself in every scene of her friends, how does anyone endure that kind of friendship? SanSan would be out of my life so fast her little pinhead would spin and how the boyfriend sticks around for as long as he did is amazing to me. To me the reason these "friends" continue to act this way is that nobody calls them out on their bad "advice" or the way they act.

completely agree with you about the FL's father, unfortunately as we've all seen, this seems to be a standard in this shows, the females feelings are seldom considered when it comes to their families pride, etc.

Finally reached epi 23 and am determined to complete this. This is really full of characters with so many issues. The ML instead of letting the FL explain about her marriage, just tells her he doesn't want to know, which only complicates things further, his "sister" has some real problems with her attachment, the young photographer would be so much better off with the model, she'd keep him on his toes, but Mommy and Daddy aren't going to make that easy. The ex husband is a rich snake, he doesn't care that she is finally with the man she's always loved, the man he knew about from the time they got married, he's determined that she is going to come back to him so he spreads lies all over the place, like I said, a Rich Snake. Just wondered if anyone else wanted to toss that short fluffy little attorney Yuan Fei down the stairs? The man is so irritating to me. And omg, do we gossip as much as they do? I worked in an office for over 30 years and I do not remember gossiping the way they do in the magazine office. Ok, my rant is over. I'll finish watching and hope that I finally find out why her father sent her to the states, why He Yi Chen knew who her father was and why her mother rejected her (even though that's not been a big part of the show). Ok, now I definitely have to put a spoiler alert on this....the young photographer and the model, then his parents come home, to funny...hope she got that meter checked right and proper.

I needed a laugh while watching epi 11, thank you. But, are you telling me the hair gets worse? Oh Geez, didn't think that was possible.

I'm on epi 11 now, please tell me that she comes out of this "depression" at some point. As much as I want to watch it all, I'm really considering skipping epi just to see if she brightens up a bit.

I'm watching now, epi 11 and even before I read your post all I could think is that something really drastic happened in her life to make her go from the vibrant young girl to this quiet mouse who barely speaks. I agree the shift was so drastic. After reading some more of the reviews, it'll be good to see what caused the change. I'm in it till the end.

This is another one that the parents are so totally obnoxious it makes me wonder how much patricide or matricide there is in China and how spineless the "children" are that they allow the parents to run their lives, until the parents finally die. (I know, sounds harsh, I'm sorry). I've spent so much time skipping the parents parts. Her father wants to support her, but he's so spineless he won't go against his wife. This is my second time viewing this, watched it the first time when I first started watching these and I had forgotten the parents, had forgotten what a doormat the FL was and what an ass the ML was. I certainly don't think I'll be finishing it this time.
