The first time Jom saw himself (drew house), I assume that Jom could feel a 'ghost' somewhere but just tried to ignore it. It was like when Khun Tan heard Jom but couldn't see him. And as you can see, he picked up the lanthom, he can sense connection with it.

If you ever try to read the novel, you'd be surprised that Khun Yai only appeared longer half or almost end of Book 1, they had 2 dates (?) then it's over. But the attachment for Khun Yai was still strong since most of the readers cried when Jom disappeared on Khun Yai.

I have been reflecting after reading your comment. I get what you mean. They didn't show us the pace of their relationship since the next episode after they got together, they skipped the rest and they've already been dating for quite a while. But then the novel didn't had that much stronger pace in their relationship either cause Jom & Khun Yai only went to few dates and poof, Jom is gone 😂 so I just assume that since the novel couldn't get deeper, the scriptwriters just went ahead to the middle of the relationship to get on the plot that doesn't exist in the novel.
You can look into the comments, its mostly positive and you can see that this is the highest rated bl in mdl at the moment. Its up to you if it's your cup of tea.
