His first drama Mountains and Oceans were as long as this I think.

I wished they didn't stretch out so many scenes and waste 10-30seconds on each. I'm on episode 7 and the plot and what it's about isn't progressing at all.

EDIT: The general sister is annoyingly arrogant. For someone who thinks she's righteous, she's so disrespectful herself. Barging into a family dinner with a spear then calling the FL evil (even if its true before) over and over, and cry foul afterwards? LOL. I've never seen any side character as rude as her aside from villains.

WOW! This is such a hidden gem. I ignored this drama the first time I saw it because I though this is one of those FL who started so strong (dressed as man) then when her gender is revealed, she becomes weak and stupid... but NO! She is a true general all through out the series and is consistent on her quest for revenge and even the ML cannot stop her.
I just wished the romance wasn't rushed like that. There was no tension because all we can see is her thirst for vengeance but then she suddenly fell in love with the ML. I'm not complaining, but I thought it would have been nice if they showed us more.
The ending, as usual for this low-budget dramas was not satisfying. The first episodes showed a lot of extra's and fighting scenes so they could have used it too to shoot the final battle and show us the villain being killed.
Anyway, this is a great wuxia drama for a mini series.

Based on the comments below, I am understanding that the FL didn't do any revenge thing for seven years! SEVEN YEARS dormant!!!? and when the ML suddenly return, that's only when she became active? So what if the ML didn't return, what power did she actually have to seek revenge. This is kinda lousy writing. I really wanted to know what has she started in those seven years.

I want to start this drama but I'm disappointed on the comments LOL.

Daisy Li is a favorite but the toxicity on this drama seems endless.

So in 7years that the FL's married to the cousin, she didn't do any revenge thing, then when the ML finally showed up, that's where the story of revenge actually started? I love Daisy Li but it seems I had to pass on this.

This is really cute and sweet. Simple plot yet everything was executed well and no plot hole (which is the main concern on most mini series).
The ending was not rushed (there's 2 extra episodes to wrap up everything which is again rare on mini dramas)
Actors/Actresses were all good even the secondary ones. Not a lot of extra characters but it's ok because sometimes they are just nuisance and useless anyway.
No second couple cliche.

The FL pushing him to another woman was also immature. So both of them in certain scenarios acted immature. Well, considering she is way older, she could have atleast listen to him explain everything, then decided. So yeah, I think both didn't handle it well but more on the FL. She also is the more experience one, yet she let her emotion affect her rationale when it came to investigating the previous project. Anyway, I'm glad they resolved the misunderstanding, but this is also because of the ML's effort.

I don't know if the voices were dubbed but the villains voice has no emotion at all. It's like a narration being read and not acted. One of the worst I've seen. I'm so bored of his voice I most ff it

His eyebrows are his signature feature to me that acts on its own. But never have I seen those eyebrows even move in this drama LOL.
Hopefully he has better chemistry on his next projects.

I was looking for this comment. ML looks soo uninterested and frustrated in every scene. Like, let's finish it so I can get out of here LOL. I've watched several drama of his, and his acting wasn't like this.
Now, I don't want to be rude but I think the chemistry isn't there because of the actress herself. I was trying to watch another drama of a good actor (Fan Zhi Xin) with this actress and the chemistry was also lacking.

Ep9. OMG Not Han taking the drink out of Kang's hand like a real gentleman LOL. Love their brotherhood!

Seeing Sabrina and Fan Zhi Xin here with their banter is like seeing them again in "Mountains and Oceans". Love them! Even some of the dialogues between them are similar LOL!
I think this drama may have been shot after "Mountains and Oceans" so their chemistry is undeniable. Unfortunately, FZX isn't the ML here.
I hope they have another drama again together.

I skim watched this because I didn't want to invest much on the backstory but just came here to watch early works of Zhuang Dafei/Sabrina and to my surprise the ML was FZX. 😍
I was hoping for a rom-com of FZX after watching him in "Present is Present" so I'm so glad to see him do more comedy in this drama. He slayed it.

I enjoyed Sabrina's "You Are My Desire" but I can say that Oceans and Mountains is so much better when it comes to the main leads acting, chemistry and funny moments. This is the main leads early/first work and it's impressive.

What I enjoyed on the drama itself were:
-main leads banter, no toxic love triangle although its there, friendship of the FL.

What I didn't like :
-villains didn't have any kind of retribution, the most despicable classmate I've seen got away easily and seems like the writer still wanted to justify her wicked character til the end. crazy!

If you don't want to cry, stop in Ep20!

I always like a happy ending in a drama, but this one, I would have liked an open ending, where they didn't end up with each other and living separately.

The FL finally grew a spine starting Ep4 so it should be all good, right?
NO! here comes the annoying friend of the FL. Her existence in the drama I think is to annoy viewers which many have pointed out already. I really dislike blabbermouths. I'm trying to watch and finish this in between another drama just for FZX.

Finally finished it and this is my take on the ending.

Episodes 15 and 16 timeline is really messed up.
It didn't show how the past + future = present.
It was only assumed that when the FL died the way she died on the first episodes, Dec31,2024, the past and the future finally merged which became the present 2025.
Then that started another sort of "loop" timeline, that's why the (past+future) ML (with the glasses), was able to call back again to the FL in the early of 2024.
During this loop, only the 2024 ML seems to have the memories of the previous time loop.

Anyway, it was a happy ending so 😊❤️
The Bad, we didn't get to see how the SFL villain was punished.

MAJOR SPOILER!!!

I've reading comments that there are many plotholes coming.
It's good til Ep11 where in the 2025 Wei Zi Qi timeline, the 2025 Yuan Xia was in coma then died.

But in Ep12 (I think its where the confusion starts), In 2025 Yuan Xia timeline, she is alive and Wei Zi Qi is dead.
So not only there are different timelines, but also parallel universe. That makes 3 different worlds which are : present ML and FL world (2024), then 2025 ML world and timeline, and last the 2025 FL world and timeline. Oh boy, I'm not sure how are they really going to pull this off at the end.

LOL! I think this is the most enjoyable character I've seen of Fan Zhi Xin. His flamboyant playful character is really fun I wished they extended it on more episodes.
I like the FL here too more than the FL in My Lethal Man.
