The ML was an Ahole basically. He treated the ex like trash for no reason
I would like to ask, would you want the ML to tell the ex-gf that because of the engagement ring, his little brother was dead? Would you like the ex-gf to carry the guilt as well? I think that's the ML's reason for not giving more explanation. Sometimes less is more. And if you were the ML, what kind of explanation would you like to tell the ex? (honest question)
done with Ep15 and I am not so ready for the finale LOL. This is one of the drama that was not so exciting yet I couldn't believe it got me hooked I binged the 10eps in a day. Maybe because all the characters were so lovable, even the ex-gf was not a problem to me. Each episodes were beautifully executed, well except for the craziest twist the writer decided to do. That was so unnecessary and even for that, I still feel the most sympathy towards the character.
Ok, I'm on Ep9 and I was trying to understand where the ex-gf was coming from based on the previous episodes and comments here and maybe sympathize with her too , but damn, what she did approaching the FL was too low. I get that she couldn't let go a 10-yr relationship but that's between her and the ML. Why give the burden to the FL??? I think this is the reason why people hated her. She makes the other party guilty just to pity her.
And for some saying the ML said he needed time, NO! The ML never said that. It was the ex-gf insisting to wait for the ML. Even on Ep7, the ML answered only her question regarding the comparison of the him and the coffee, but not her waiting for him. I think that part was misunderstood by many.

I know this is late, but I think the ML told his Ex that they are over when his brother died. He couldn't forgive himself for what happened it's weighing on him so hard. We mourn and move on differently. Some 'run' from reality by detaching themselves to any reminder of that painful past, hence the ML breaking up with his ex and even leaving his profession as a doctor is that kind of person. I'm on Ep7 now and it was the Ex who says she'll wait for him (until he gets over it), but I don't think the ML ever acknowledged that. So no, he didn't straight up ignored her, though I would agree on how bad he abruptly ended it. Still cannot fully blame him as he was suffering at that time.
Glad to know. I'm on episode 4 and wondering if the writers were going to do a slow burn romance with the ML and the annoying prosecutor, so I would drop it.
Fortune Writer FL ML reunion in a 40min/episode??? WOW!!! Can't Wait. These actors deserved it. Been seeing Daisy Li in mini dramas and her acting is a lot better than longer drama actresses. Hope this series goes well
Was so excited to watch this drama. But fml made it so hard for me to continue... dropped it halv way of 2nd eps...Is…
Agree! first few seconds she appeared, I already had bad vibes on the character. I was right when she opened her arrogant mouth. Sigh! Dropping it fast no matter how I like to watch because of the other 3 leads.
Just finished Season 1 (soo good) and wanted to continue with this new season but first few seconds the new FL appeared and already didn't like it. I just hated arrogant bitches. Why did they have to kill Ah Ryung character, sigh!
I think its better that way. They had too much burden embedded to them right after they were born. Had they been…
He didn't kill the uncle and the other human-turned-monsters. Infact he saved them and he saved her by 'killing'/hiding them. It's the only way to deceive the evil queen. Yet he didn't even clarified this with the FL after. He made the Prince take credit of saving her thus created more misunderstanding. Actually he lost more 'family' (total 4) than her. I would agree with the torture though, that was soooo unnecessary.
the leads dead and it's an illusion? Or is it really them in a parallel world?
The FL had comeback/reborn through the remnant of her soul the ML was holding, where he poured all his spirit essence to revive her. Thus, dying on the process.
As for the illusion ending, it's like a memory of the past the 2FL has locked in a painting. So in that memory/painting world, they are together forever.
Finally finished it. Damn! What a second half of the drama!I was like, oh no the FL has suffered a lot! But then…
I think its better that way. They had too much burden embedded to them right after they were born. Had they been straightforward and honest to each other, they may have overcome the added hatred along the way. Yet, it keeps on piling up. Though I pity more the ML than the FL, he never really hated her and had given her all the chances needed.
On the fan service ending, it may be an illusion, but I think that 2FL Du Yue Lian, had locked them in a memory of a happy past where they can be together forever.

Who says the ML actor can't act? It's my first time watching him and I can say he's one of the actor that I really felt his emotion on painful scenes and got me teary-eyed. His facial expression may be limited but if you watch it closely, his lip and eye movements convey the emotions needed.
