Like we're supposed to feel that sadness and overwhelming emotion but then that monster thing fight is just 'monstrous' 🤣

yes. Most FL on the dramas become childish brat, rude or narcissist. Atleast she isn't

Yes. She wasn't even rude. I mean, that's the way she talks to everyone not only to the ML. Well except to her mother in-law and their master where she's more careful with her tone.
What I like about her is she doesn't make a drama out of anything and when pushed to a corner, she doesn't become helpless. I hope she stays like that til the drama ends even after she acknowledges her feelings to the ML.

Watching 'My Wife's Double Life' for the time being, and so far so good and it's fast paced. The FL stayed good at fighting and cases were resolved immediately.

Ok this was so much better than I expected. Atleast FL maintained her skills being a badass thief. Unlike other dramas where FL started so good in fighting but after 1 or 2 episodes they just dropped that part of her character, specially when married off to the enemy (ML).
I would have to agree she's a bit mean to the ML, but the ML deserves it too with his dismissive attitude towards her.

As for the plot, it's fast-paced and cases were solved consecutively (though I think it'll be interrelated)

Can't blame her. He has been ignoring her and not even acknowledging when she serves him 😅 He didn't even try to assist her getting out of the carriage when they went to the temple.

I put this on-hold after Ep11 so I can binge watch after several episodes are up but based on comments, it seems its getting messy! Ep16 already aired and the FL haven't recovered her memory yet? sigh! I thought she would have it atleast after half of the episodes but it seems that the writer stick to the palace drama instead of the assassin plot.

Sigh, this started so good with Yuan Zhong Xin and Wang Kuan's chemistry (not BL).

But I'm on episode 7 and its too draggy already.
It's really boring without Zhong Xin and Wang Kuan together in a scene or well you can add Ya Nei too. But the others are just a bore. The synopsis said that Zhao Jian is a natural leader, but I don't find that to be the case. She's such an arrogant overbearing girl who looks like in her mid thirties. She's too competitive. I wish Wang Kuan will be the section leader bec he can balance their group really well. The other girl is such a cutie, but what for? The brawn, he attacks mercilessly an an injured teammate. They really don't need him because most of them know martial arts.
I'll try more 3 episodes.....

🤣 Yes and just saw Ep11 and it gets worse. The powdery patches are pretty obvious on the ML and FL. Their makeups are so cakey!🤣

I can't remember what episode I dropped BLover but I will give it a 2nd chance when I have nothing to watch. And yes one reason to pick it up again is the ML and the 2ML 😍

Done Ep10. So far so good, but the subs are bad from Ep7-10. So I will rewatch it on YT (where subs are better) when new episodes are posted.

I noticed that ML (You Shou) looks so tired or lacking sleep in this drama as compared to his appearance in Heavenly Fox. Maybe the makeup too, but he's still gorgeous!kk

As for the subs, watch it in YT but they release episodes slower than MangoTV, so as of now, only 6episodes but the subs are better.

From comments above, the subtitles were updated and probably that's what I was able to watch and so far its good like other normal subs. Some aren't perfect but still understandable.

Yes that 2023 drama. and I've also dropped the Butterflied Lover LOL!
I think it's her character that I don't like both on those dramas. I may pick up (edit : again) the Butterflied Lover because her character there is better but I got bored with so much flashbacks with how their romance started.
As for the Dear Mr. Heavenly Fox, dropped it on Ep.11. I tolerated the character there, but based on the comment section, it gets worse.

I can see his hidden goofiness in Oh My Sweet Liar but he really nailed it here 😍

I'm currently watching it on YT and so far its not as bad as other MangoTV dramas I've watched.

I was supposed to watch this after it's done airing but since I dropped the ' Dear Mr. Heavenly Fox' I can't wait for this instead.

I'm on Ep4 and so far I'm loving it.
Love how the FL maintained her pure innocence and not jumping right away with the ML. Its the ML slowly falling in love with her instead haha.
I also like her camaraderie with the Emperor. I hope they stay friends through out the drama.

I started this knowing it has bad ending with alternative (still not so satisfying) ending. LOL

Everything started beautiful, the premise, the ML, side characters, costumes and action scenes.
BUT WHY THE FL??? I don't mean to discredit her looks because she still has a good chemistry with the ML and I think she can act well. But let's admit it, she's the least pretty among the female casts so why her costumes and make up/hairstyle too? Her dresses are too funky, like the designer wanted her to look unique but can't decide what kind of fashion to follow. Can't blame viewers for saying the actress is miscast here because she looks too shabby beside the ML. Sigh!
The ML is really an eye candy so watching this while my patience allow me but surely dropping this when the FL becomes unbearable with her stubbornness and recklessness.
