The only saving grace for this drama is the ML and the 2FL. The FL is one of the weakest FL I've ever seen in cdramas. All barks and no bites. I could have accepted her being weak if they hadn't portrayed her as a threat to the Empress! lol The FL admits that she isn't that bright, (and that's the only thing I agree with her) so why does the empress even be threatened to a dumb easily manipulated FL? And while she maintains that stoic domineering-like attitude, she's a bore! I really cannot understand how the ML even fell in love with her, albeit just being kind. TOO KIND actually, that even if the ML has been working behind her back several times, on the pretext of protecting her, she should atleast felt hurt, or so they say but FL's acting and how she handled those situations were sooooo lacking!
Role-Reversal drama! oh please, that's only the premise but not the plot. The ML had everything under control. no role reversal here really.

DROPPED at Ep3. FL's acting is overdone/exaggerated! smiles too much, talk too much, move too much, like instead of just walking cautiously (if she doesn't want to get caught), she would whip around on tip toes several times, it's making me dizzy with all the extra unnecessary movements. too eccentric!
I sometimes don't see the point of these tribulations in dramas. It takes away the excitement and expectation because even if they die, we would know that they will always go back to their original world.
PLOT : very simple. no twist. can't feel the angst of their tribulations
Chemistry : under developed. the ML and FL had a very few screen time together. I like both the actor and the actress but I can't feel their characters interactions much. They have a few moments that were cute and funny but I really hoped there's more of them being sweet.
Costumes : good! the ML's white costume at the end was sooo regal and knightly!
This is the first mini drama I watched that had too many extras 😂 Like the cavalry of both sides. I hoped they reduced it though and added more horses. Its funny seeing the ML riding a horse while his soldiers are running behind him to catch up. Once they arrived in the palace, they would be very exhausted already to fight 😂🤣

sorry its 6.0 ⭐ -this is really frustrating to watch. it is a mini series, but damn the misunderstandings are almost in every other episodes! and instead of explaining it directly, they would use vague words to create more misunderstanding. wtf did i just watch? -chemistry? nope! and while they have lots of kisses and steamy scenes, as usual, the actress can't kiss! -the FL villain did an amazing job though. -too many fillers that uses beautiful songs lol. well atleast i enjoyed the OSTs. -beautiful costumes and can be on-par with high budget regular dramas. -good effects/cgi -happy ending

I would have to agree that this is so much fun to watch. It was a bit slow for the plot to develop but be patient and it will become so much better once the real story unfolds. The biggest pet peeve for an FL for me is when they started so strong and smart but when faced with critical situations, they become suddenly dumb and weak. The FL here isn't. She is consistently quick-witted all throughout the series. No BS! I wasn't expecting much from the ML (whom I first watched in Stick to the Script mini drama) but he delivered here well!

The ML is just useless being whirled around into every situation. Please don't call someone 'god of war' when he's this clueless on what's going on inside his own mansion (like how treacherous his concubine is), panics when a dire situation arises and doesn't have any back-up plan or no plan at all. And while the chemistry between the FL and ML is good, it's still lacking. For me, the best character here is the FL's maid.
