Watched this on Kisskh site with better subtitles, but a few scenes (didn't affect the story) were cut short. Not sure why.

Agree. The story is consistent and really focused on the main plot. But the execution was really boring. I usually finish mini dramas in one sitting. This took me days.

It's the usual grab for power plot. While it stays true and consistent to the story, the execution was boring to me. It was funny and enjoyable on the first part then became bland. As bland as how the ML portrays his character. His brother and side characters were so much better in acting than him.
The FL is fine but I cannot feel their chemistry as she seems the only one showing feelings on their supposed sweet moments.
While other dramas use excessive makeup to the ML's, this is the complete opposite. I thought at first it was to show that the ML was really sick, but even when he got better, the makeup didn't change. I was really distracted with his dry/cracked lips 😅

9/10 ⭐ definitely worth to watch/rewatch.
Story and pacing is well-done and ending was good.
Besides, there's no annoying 2ML/2FL. The only character that I didn't like was the 4th prince. He's stupid yet so narcissistic he thinks the world revolves around him. He's supposed to be funny but in real life, I really hate this kind of person.

So if you aren't confident enough with how you look, you create an alternate ego and appearance that's hotter than you actually are and make the girl fall in love. LOL

this is going to be my first 2ML syndrome 😅 He's more of an ML material. Just need to improve his acting.

And why cast so many support roles thats more handsome than the ML? 😅

I came here after watching "The Only Girl You Haven't Seen"
But I'm already bored after watching more than 40mins.
No exciting, funny or romantic scenes that would keep me engage or enjoy it.

Another good watch for a mini series. The actors are good, even the side characters. No cringy FL (which is usually my pet peeve lol)
The ending is a cliffhanger because this series has a season 2 which I already watched too.
I enjoyed this better than the season 2, where it got more serious.

I came here for Yang Ze but I ended preferring his other drama than this.
For some reasons, I cannot really relate to the FL as well as their 2 lifetime stories when I already know it's just for tribulation. Like, no matter how tragic the ending of each story, they will just be back in the heavenly realm after that.
Anyway, Yang Ze's acting never disappoints. The kissing scenes which he's actually good at, didn't do justice because FL's part is lacking.

I'm sorry to butt in here 😅 but would like to comment regarding their 2nd life.
They BOTH died. It wasn't just shown but it was implied since there were 2 poisoned cups of wine delivered to them. It's just the FL took it first while the ML's tied up.

Agree with the FL. I even prefer the SML actress to be the lead instead.

What I like in short dramas are there are no fillers and the story is direct to the point. No unnecessary subplot, or if there is, it doesn't take much screen time.
This is one of best short dramas. The actors did well!

yes, I recognize him in most of Richard's dramas and other mini series out there. They always seem to cast the same support actors.
Try to add a link source maybe from a C channel like Baidu to get your edit accepted.

I've been watching mini series these past weeks and while some are hidden gems, this drama is too cringey for me. For some reasons, I really don't like how the FL acted, it's too forced and unnatural for me. The other actors are fine.

Finally a better actress paired with Li Fei. I saw some of his other mini dramas and so far the FL here is the best for me in terms of chemistry and acting is on point , though she still needs improvement on the comedy part but atleast not that annoying cringy aegyo/sajiao(?) most of the FL's in his other dramas did.
9/10!

But the epilouge was so still so funny 🤣

I think Zhen Xuan is not ready for a big role yet, he needs to have his own fan base so landing as a support role in big dramas like this Story of Mytics will give him a chance to be noticed if he does it well. Can't wait😍
