Poom isn't exactly a new comer, he's been doing support and 2nd lead roles for some 5 years, but MyStandIn was…
He mostly did mediocre lakrons so no wonder. In one of Pepzi's interview she even said he's not really known so she wishes the audience would give him a chance, she selected him out of 400 potential Joes after auditions. Exhausting job to think about lol. I hope this series is his big break.
So, we've come to the end......I ENJOYED IT :) It wasn't perfect, and I don't even like Ming and Joe as a couple,…
Poom isn't exactly a new comer, he's been doing support and 2nd lead roles for some 5 years, but MyStandIn was his first lead role and he acted absolutely amazing.
An unpopular opinion for sure but one I share. I simply couldn't buy into the fantasy of the series. When Ming…
And when Joe was thinking about all those good times with Ming, what I could only think about was how there was hurt for Joe immediately followed by those happy moments in every single one of those same scenes.
Still just because Joe was happy at the end, is what makes me happy so I would ignore a lot of things for that lol And I ended up liking Ming not as a person ofcourse but a damn entertaining character who kept up the stakes high till the end.
I cannot even explain how much I loved this series. It's hats off the best BL drama in 2024 so far! I knew that…
Name drop the other bl series 🧐 And so right about Poom, I'd been reading the comments since ep 4 or 5 and initially everyone was majorly praising UP as he was already a somewhat known figure but as the series progressed praise for Poom started increasing because he did so so well and audience could see it and I so like it.
Why no one is taking about "old" joe? He is still in another body 😭 Though he is loved now but still in another…
This is a loss that none can ever make up for but it is what it is. Joe lost his body but he still decided to forgive and move forward and was thankfully at peace at the end regardless. However how he isn't a standin for Joe 2 still is a miss that I will choose to ignore because that's what the show wants us to think despite him clearly in someone else body playing someone else son.
Happy Joe made me so happy I cried 😭😭😭 Not to say this episode wasn't without flaws because Tongs poorly done redemption pissed me to a degree I couldn't tolerate him on screen and fast forwarded his scenes. I had nothing particular against him before this finale unlike most viewers but him getting scot free with little to no depth made him unbearable. I fast forwarded all the other random couples scenes too.
And while this is rightly Joe's show, Ming should've been given more attention in this finale showing more of his pov so we could understand him better. He almost seemed like a support character to Joe in this episode which was odd and I didn't like. And since I'm used to shit on Ming anyway let me say that another addition to his failures is that he promised to not let his family members hurt Joe and the next scene Joe got taken to his father who then proceeded to threaten him with a gun 🙃
To soften the blow of his failure let me say I loved how Sol and Ming still gave each other side eyes in the hospital. But whatever went in Ming's otherwise entitled mind to say sorry to Sol is beyond me. It would make sense if it was a sarcastic sorry but it wasn't. See his mindset really should've been focused more this ep.
And how on earth will he be able to tolerate others play couple to Joe in the movies exactly? He doesn't have it in him to tolerate something like this lol how will he handle it's giving me giggles thinking about his reactions.
And Joe.2 never got resolution and no one mourned for him I think this is a plot hole but not everything can be perfect.
Still this was one of the most satisfying conclusions I've seen and I love love love this series and I love Joe and Poom's acting and Ming a lot too despite all his flaws.
I took the day off tomorrow, cause I am either going to be crazy happy or crazy sad, honestly sad it is finishing…
Same here about being glad it's over, it's been taking over me bit too much than it should for a fiction and I would like to go back to my real life obligations rather than day dream about MSI all the time 🤣 Seriously what an engaging series. I just hope it'll end on a good enough note that there is no problem in rewatching it anytime later.
And I hope the screen time of these new ships isn't anymore than it is shown here aka 57 seconds. Because we have…
I once tried to lift my disabled father who has fallen in the washroom by hooking my elbows under his arm pits like no.1. He didn't even budge an inch, I couldn't believe it. Made me really insecure about the difference in men vs women strength given he is a frail old man and I'm a healthy young woman but I couldn't even move him a centimeter, either I'm too weak or wasn't doing the technique right. Though obviously it's different between two men of similar physique like Joe and Ming.
For them it'll be no. 1 till stairs followed by putting Joe's arm over his neck and drag him like you do your drunk friends lol

He likes fireworks but nothing of that kind had me laughing 😆
I'd take that semi concious Joe let him take him downstairs because the scenario of Ming carrying a fully unconscious Joe down those dangerous stairs is possible sure but hard to imagine. Ming is for sure more of a smart worker than hard. Though I wouldn't have put it past him to have arranged a few cushions downstairs and dropped Joe right from the terrace onto them lol
The lock and key thing was really something. Even the professional kidnappers had used a rope to tie him up but Ming somehow produced a chain and handcuffs in such short notice.
And Joe life is such a series of unfortunate events that we weren't even over examining his head injury and he got shot in the back
Thankyou for such detailed response on this topic. It's so useful for the fanfic and general knowledge too.

The rating is off-puttingly low, although I see that 55 & older viewers gave it extremely high marks, so I suppose…
I didn't know that there is analytics on rating here too but now I see it. Any reason it's not present for some other series like My StandIn ratings have no details?

10/10 score.
