Worried about it being a transmigration - the ending of those often leaves a lot to be desired. I was looking…
yeah, there were a few minis recently with same premise. and one of the verticals looks really close to the plot. i think it's going to be like that ending.
i was re-watching some other drama. thought hey let me check something out real quick in this one ... and ended up binging the whole thing again. except for that little extra in the finale simply brilliant.
yeah it is a bit odd. we dont know how Sima invested into the company like was it shares setup or a loan. the…
i made peace with it coz, in fairness, 99% of people wouldn't care and dwelling too much on it will definitely affect the pace. most importantly although i have some familiarity with how company law works in "common law" regions and it feels weird to me; it doesn't mean that in china it's not possible.so i'm happy enough to chalk it down to my ignorance. the show has something for everyone so i cant say if it really affected the overall narrative for me.
When Pei lost his smile, it became dull and bitter to watch. Some call it "philosophical" but I preferred…
yeah that's the screenwriters for ya, one does all the good funny stuff the other introduces dead babies and psycho women. but after what double happiness's screenwriter friend said ...i'm just going to hang my head in shame.
the feeling that this show gave me at the end is unexplanable. because of the last scene of him writing the story…
i think now that the main story is done, it would be great if they made an S2 which deals just with his attempts to lose money based on the novel. something like strange stories chronicles or chinese fawlty towers. something that could be split into self contained chunks with a bit of extra detail. like, if too much included it would kill the pace if review of lonely road is included, but if it deals with just that it would be great. like the big omission from the lonely desert road game was that the game had no "pause" and the car had no breaks :D
idk for me wasn't happy end nor bad one, he get back to status quo after all struggles. He shouldn't close company,…
yeah it is a bit odd. we dont know how Sima invested into the company like was it shares setup or a loan. the 3 brothers supposedly ran the company into the red. the 4th brother offered him cash if tengda declares bankruptcy and he does.and yes he has to cease operations but he has no outstanding loans from banks and is able to pay the bills and salaries. so who is the receiver? the apartments would be the odd one out. alright for employees could be evicted but everyone else - I just don't see it happening. so in the last episode when hte news report is saying that J-whatever had foresight to invest in Tengda, at this point i think Sima just had no other options, he was stepping down anyway who is he going to put there instead of pq? there;s no one else. so when pq says i want tengda to be independent Sima doesn't really have a good choice.
i think it's the beginning of novel he is writing in the last episode.
someone mentioned alternative endings so yeah it is possible that beginning doesn't fit right. to me the beginning was always a bit weird - 8 years later with company success being is somewhere in stratosphere and still trying to play out that scenario with 5K salary... 🤣however, if it's a beginning of the novel and he just imagines how it would've went down 8 years later, i can live with that.
well i really enjoyed moonlit reunion, but if to ignore pretty good minis, my overall best for 2025 would be "love and sword" which happens to be tencent 😄
don't get me wrong, i appreciate the difficulty of trying to collate something like this. and i love these little games 🫶
i'm guessing his investor deal is non standard, he just doesn't know wth is going on. he doesn't know if it's…
exactly, he could've told them prove that they are authorized to take his place. and the lads come out with brown enveloped where the lettter starts with "...if mr pq asks that question, he and everyone in the co is fired". on the other hand sima could've sent his boys to help pq to burn through company's money tohelp him earn the bonus...the situation is extremly non-standard so yeah just speaking for myself i'd roll with it too and try to get in touch with the man incharge.

i'm just thinking. we were never told how the shares are distributed. but, i assume Sima had all and PQ although a CEO had none. Sima said nothing to Ms Xin that his sons are coming to "play" and that they had to accommodate them. given the set up i would believe them when they said that they are acting with Sima's approval. in which case their authority should be greater than his. even if their authority is equal to pq they have the right to initiate tasks for employees and do pretty much everything they did.
of course pq could've asked for an order along the lines of "at the shareholders meeting it was decided ... and sima 1,2 or 3 will act as ceo... etc.," and if they didn't have it just let security drag them out of the building. at the very least he could've prevented them to take over his office.
i guess pq & ms xin decided to not rock the boat, wait it out and get in touch with Sima. they just didn't anticipate that he will be so hard to locate.
also, i'm just bewildered that FL didn't warn her family at all.
