watching jbls, it's certainly a culture shock. The way some Japanese ppl see having sex with a sex-worker is okay even if in a relationship because no string attached, I'm not surprised with this drama having a little to no empathy towards the betrayal ritsu committed. nevertheless, putting that out of the category, it's actually a nice series and the MLs performance were good and not awkward. No matter what, I'm on the hating ritsu train cause that man is just trash.
Watching the 1st episode, I already expected the series to be heavy and exaggerated and specially those ad items on something like a Thai series would so I'm not surprised. Always needed a breather and to put myself on the ground that it's the purpose of the series and things will make sense slowly but soon. Episode 3 was good, actually progressive, the sex scenes were not only sex but finally gets you to dive deeper into each character 😏
hmmm. I hate to say that I don't like this series. It's more like 6 eps/ 120 mins of foggy for me. Maybe I didn't…
Put spoiler on your comment!! But this is just my perspective, your opinion is okay and valued but I can't just stand here knowing somebody doesn't know some things. 1. Did you watch the whole thing? The break-up happened on the birthday party which is actually so bad and sad for Ritsu since it was his birthday :( but nevertheless, that was not the reason. They broke-up cause of the lack of communication and they barely got time for each other cause of work. they both know it since both of them tried to save their relationship somehow by making all plans that ends up getting cancelled. They both didn't know the effort of each other to keep things together during that time so it was quite in a heat of a moment since ritsu was tired from work and fumiya's reservation table for ritsu's birthday plan gets cancelled again. 2. Im confused with this one. All I could say is that once Ritsu had amnesia, Fumiya did everything to hide their past but that's because ritsu's amnesia only intended to erase the memories he had with fumiya, everything else he remembers. Fumiya doesn't want Ritsu to change, instead he used Ritsu's amnesia to correct his own mistakes from the past to not happen again. 3. Ofcourse, they did break-up but they didn't fully move-on, hell they haven't even like moved out to breathe fresh air away from each other for a month or year after their break-up not even a day since the accident happened hours after the birthday party. He would still see Ritsu as his boyfriend thus making him jealous that his boyfriend is with his ex on their own in a room. Adding lack of trust to their past relationship problems. 4. Fumiya thought that their relationship wasn't working; barely having time for each other, plans to get-together ends up getting cancelled and their usual daily routine clashing with work since Ritsu works at home. Also it's possible since he later on found out about Ritsu's bought vacation place for them, he also thought that he was the only one making effort to make the relationship work. 5. His ex-thing stuff happened during their past so that's not counted but it does bother me that he hid that as well. Anyways what Fumiya meant was he will not make the same mistakes again and express what he wants to express to Ritsu which is what I saw the whole series, the only thing he kept hidden is their past love during ritsu's amnesia. 6. Ritsu's amnesia, the things fumiya did during those times are the things opposite to what he did to their past relationship which made it fail first so you can't say he didn't change anything to make it work :/
ryunosuke pissed me off:) why blame Kazume? he didn't know anything and even if he would ask, he wouldn't get…
Fr, he was blaming someone for being hospitalized which was so weird. Also just Yagami's character as a whole is weird, it's never said if he actually has feelings for Ren but his actions gives gatekeeping vibes lol
I took it more of as him trying to "test" Kazuma to see if he was worthy of Ren? Before giving him the last info…
It still pissed me off that he knows about their relationship and their first time meeting, he was acting flirty to ren.. More so, he also knows how long ren was looking for kazuma so he should've given info about ren easily the moment ren goes back into running away cause he saw how ren's broken without him.
I thought i would enjoy it more their chemistry felt forced, no real sparks i felt sadly. I feel like the manga…
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who felt this too, but for me since Ryuji didn't see Amane as a romance interest at first, it makes sense that there's no chemistry but at the end there was still no chemistry so I get your point. It's like Ryuji just went along with Amane. Maybe because the series was mostly on Amane's pov but it's like Ryuji assumed missing Amane as liking him back, I didn't feel any longing or passion on Ryuji to Amane.
This was the past KBL? The gap is so huge to the current kbl we have nowadays. Even with only just it being a 30 minutes film, it seriously made it's way to my favorite list. MLs were so good! It's surreal that this exist, it feels as though I'm watching an actual real gay couple. Isn't this a part of boy meets boy? the characters, screen writings, songs and just the aura of both films are so seemingly the same. I guess bmb is on their teens while jf is on their adult story.
There is a min misunderstanding of the “ Asexuality” and also confusing it with aromantic.. I have to disagree,…
oh I see, since I'm not an aroace, I don't really get the grasp of how love life goes for them so sorry that I misunderstand.
It just baffles me how the comments are fighting people who thinks this is not BL when the fact is that the definition of BL is what this series lacks. it's only fair that it shouldn't be marketed as one. It's like you wanted to watch horror but instead you get thriller, very misleading we shouldn't get blamed for it.
Although there is quite a bit to no romance in this series. I'm happy with it, the plot is what makes it very interesting! I guess I'm just mad that it was categorized and marketed as BL when it literally means romantic or homoerotic feelings between two men.
The comments are contradicting but the definition is it's meaning y'all! and all the people attacking who those thinks this is not a BL are those who thinks treating your homies intimately is gay. But if we're being honest, I see it more as two asexual men forming bond and special connection with each other, or it's the censorship lol another problem is their age
Maybe it's time for us to make a petition for asexual relationship of two men to be called as BL cause it hurts calling it bromance cause it was definitely something special going on those two. Although it can be called that, we don't even know about their sexuality but for sure koki is into female with the "delivery" scene lol
Romance and sexual feelings are not needed for BL, I agree with that but it's definitely confusing to put the relationship of the two MLs as something that defines it.
it was interesting but have we forgotten about koki's brother? like we know what happened to him but there's no conclusion on how his brother is doing currently working under the yakuza? Anyways this is coming from a person who hasn't read the manga yet so don't flipping attack me but do spoil me about his brother cause how the hell did it end well for koki's trauma about his brother when they didn't meet or spoke to him after he quit..
It's so good!! I love jbls but most of them always be making these heartbreaking bls, it hits so deep. tbh, I feel happy with the ending. It is sad but it's not a bad ending.
It was inevitable and unfair to what happened to Koichi but with his short time, he made a mark on this world that he was alive and somebody will always remember him, also dying knowing that he was loved and cherished;; and to Micchan, he was guided by him to be able to open-up to other people and be a better version of himself but it is sad that he was left alone and still lingers on their memories together on the last ep when he went to the place they had their vacation on.. TT One of them died and one of them lived on but for each other.
we can say it was a "right person, wrong time", I think people who lose their loved ones would relate to this series a lot.
I resent the rain so much!! since when it comes you just know you will cry later on but the first time they met or should I say the longing stare they had that I loved so much!! was during the rain so somehow, the rain is the miracle maker.
The way the two Ml reconcile after faking memory loss felt quite like a rush or is it just me? Probably because of so many timelapse that happened, it felt too easy;;
I have a confusion on episode 4, what does ryuji mean on his inner dialogue about "thanks for telling me the confusion you have, telling it now could be wrong." does he think that amane liking him is just a confusionTT maybe it's a mistranslation
I was actually skeptical to watch this cause at first I thought it wasn't BL cause the long haired guy looks a lot like a girl lmao he's very pretty;
it's uhm.. uh omg how do I say without spoiling. the ending makes you ask, whats the purpose of the series since it's about a fujoshi meeting a irl gay person but a lot of things escalated also every character made there were all far more problematic than the characters here lol
if u want spoilers, i have on my profile, i made a review for it. the actors carried the show while the plot was garbage.
(This is a comment from a person who hasn't read the manga but watched the two films so don't attack me you fs) The shino girl and seiryo's relationship is still bothering me., why was seiryo so attached to a taken person.. she forcefully sexually harassed him and he went along with it(?) he became an accomplice on the girl's revenge to cheat on her brother which was so weird for me why no one is talking about this since it's literally what made seiryo and shino(the guy Ml) distance a lot and it wasn't explained till the end! Like dude, I'm happy for you but what about her was on my mind and shino doesn't even know the truth about them till the end, it was left as a mystery.. if someone who read the manga can explain cause I think i'll hate seiryo if he's that kind of person just because he want to feel loved.
So um.. about the shino girl(not the Ml) and seiryo's relationship was really weird. It seems like he was forcefully sexual harassed by her but along the way he went with it and ended up together since it shows here that they also dated(scene of them went to restaurants together, acting in a couple manner) after that which is f-ed up if seiryo knows about his brother's relationship with her.. it's always been bothering me, what kind of relationship do they have for seiryo to hold onto her, it wasn't really answered (even till the end since I watched it). I might actually hate him if its true.
Overall it was cute, quite exaggeration here and there and some scenes that felt too long, made me fast forward a lot. The story is quite 2D, the story explained is about seiryo and shino(the Ml) journey on fake dating then real dating, it revolved around the 2 too much where the bg characters doesn't matter. But no much detail or nothing at all about seiryo and shino's past life, what did seiryo lack for getting in-between his brother's relationship was it lack of love from family or was he seriously just desperate for someone to love him and was shino's bad past relationships urged him to pursue seiryo cause he thought it'll be different then(?) so many questions left unanswered.. reading the comments and the ratings, I thought it was really good..
Damn.. the girl Ml is soo good at acting!! But like why are the two BL that I watched she was apart of, she becomes a character that I hate;; She's always somehow a straight girl character that ends up with a gay guy character which is always not her character's fault but the gay guy cause they want to be "straight". Idk if she auditions for them specifically but that's.. crazy. I hope she gets in other BL where it's at least peacefulTT
It's quite nice that KZ wasn't so into KJ's past with KD. Although I would've loved it more if he knew about them, I just thought that the story of KJ and KD is only theirs and theirs and so is KZ and KJ's are theirs and theirs only as well respectfully.
I think if it's your first time watching this, you'll end up maybe not liking it by the way Kijima treated Kuzumi through out the whole series or how the story literally just revolved between the two of them but if you have the patience to survive watching a lot more installment that makes the story much more clearly and be understanding of our Ml's history and his upbringings also it gets more entertaining from one installment to another. it's for you.
Episode 3 was good, actually progressive, the sex scenes were not only sex but finally gets you to dive deeper into each character 😏
