Five episodes left… I think I need a break lol. Definitely not binge watch material if you’re not in the right headspace for this type of drama. I really feel for Joe. What a life…

That said, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who dislikes stories centered around manipulation and mistreatment of women because, unfortunately, the entire plot (plot twists) revolves around that... I’m still traumatized by the reveal in Episodes 5 and 6. Her husband was an absolute monster for even coming up with that idea.

Anyway this drama was incredibly addictive. The leads gave great acting, and it was really entertaining overall. Also, I think it had some of the best intimate scenes I’ve seen. The visuals were beautiful, and nothing felt awkward everything was filmed in a very aesthetically pleasing way. (Lol I wish Thai stories without cheating had this kind of romance and chemistry.)

Meh this wasn’t the ending I wished for. The only ending that would’ve felt justified to me was if both men had died because what they did to the FL was genuinely horrific :) Then she could’ve inherited everything, raised her baby in that big house, and eventually found a healthy relationship later on.
Still, I guess this ending is more realistic. Even so, I felt really sorry for the FL. Every man in her life was terrible, not even her dad was a good person.

Hmmm I don’t know how to describe this. Nothing groundbreaking, the first episode was just average. Hopefully, in the next episode, they do a time skip to the university years. The actors are cute. I’m giving this a chance because I loved The Sun from Another Star. I have a question: does the male lead benefit from his mafia family until the end, or does he break away and start his own life? To be honest, I’m not looking forward to the male lead just continuing to use dirty money while trying to live a peaceful, happy life, especially when his family is terrorizing the community. '-'

Episode 6 was so cute watching them fall in love is everything I’m really happy Kaji finally had the courage to confess his feelings. <3
And yeah, it seems like from Episode 7 onward, the story will go beyond the anime. I haven’t read the manga either, so I’m excited to see where the plot goes!

Pretty solid storytelling. The second couple is stealing my heart, that Japanese man is just adorable. <3

It’s perfect for a light watch. If you’re patient, binge watch it after all the episodes finish airing so you can really appreciate the characters’ emotional growth. Waiting a whole week for just 13 minutes is torture :<

How can this drama pack so much depth into such a short time? I’m already on an emotional rollercoaster in just 13 minutes. <3

My friends and I have a group chat lol where we mostly talk about English and German novels, but someone mentioned this Chinese one and I got curious. I started reading it with translation tools and later continued on Wattpad. It does have some trigger warnings since it’s a bit violent and focused on gang life, but honestly it’s really good. If you’re interested, though, you can’t really buy it :< I checked and it’s only available as a web novel.

Sorry xD, I don’t mean to be dismissive. I get what you mean the sex is important in this drama, but since I’m enjoying the plot so much, it feels less important in live action lol. Just my opinion.
Hahaha same! At first the awkward scenes were cute, but later they’re just uncomfortable.
Still, the drama really shines because of the actors. I love how they perform in the other scenes. <3

I’ve been reading the novel and the intimate scenes are surprisingly detailed lol. So far, I know the drama hasn’t gone beyond a kiss. If anyone’s curious, Chapter 37 is the first real moment and there’s even a switch lol. You have to read the chapter titled ‘The Unfuckable Bottom’ it’s hilarious, but also genuinely cute and intimate. I’m planning to binge watch it on Friday. Hopefully, we’ll get some news about Season 2 soon I really hope they secure enough funding.

it can be like that, but not always. Writers can easily create a story where the king has only one love.

Even in history, the Hongzhi Emperor had just Empress Zhang and no concubines.
So a drama where the ML loves only the FL isn’t unrealistic, it’s just storytelling.

I just hope they get a happy ending.
Life’s already overwhelming I either want a happy ending or an unforgettable, meaningful sad one not a boring one lol

I knew the angst was coming in ep4, but the preview for ep5 looks even more intense. I’m really enjoying the plot, it’s impressive how much it manages to deliver in such a short 13-minute format, and it keeps surprising me lol. I also think the use of inner monologue was the best choice. Kaji, please just accept your feelings for Fukami already (T^T)

I don’t blame the actors for the lame NC scenes, but the director what the heck was that?...

If the director is unable to effectively handle this type of scene, why accept a drama that primarily centers on it?

Honestly, if they just focused on the story and cut out the NC scenes, it would be way better and a lot less cringe to watch. (((^_^;)
