SurfJava have excellent comedic timing and their chemistry is insane. They can pull off the friends to lovers and enemies to lovers trope effortlessly ❤️‍🔥
I wish to see a mature angsty series for them in 2027 tho bc we already know Java has the acting chops for it from the glimpse we saw in H2H ❤️

Well… this has been a rollercoaster. I’m still waiting for the day New Siwaj can beat the masterpiece that is Until We Meet Again but I lose more hope with every new work he puts out.
I knew what I was getting myself into knowing this is New Siwaj’s direction. I was genuinely enjoying EP 1-6 but after that a bunch of nothing happened. The pacing is all over the place and editing just got super choppy switching back and forth between JJinn and FarmVan scenes and a lot was filler and/or repetitive scenes of Jerome’s visions and the hospital scenes that we didn’t need and the conclusion didn’t fully satisfy me either but I guess Jerome will just continue to have his visions and let fate do its thing? He can only live in the present and whatever happens to Jinn in the future, it’s out of his control?
Honestly, this series could’ve done better with 8 EPs. I only continued watching till the very end just for SurfJava because their chemistry is insane. I was already sold since EP 1 and then Java’s acting in EP 11 really sealed the deal for me. As for SeaKeen, yeah they’re cute and all but I never felt the romantic chemistry between them… at least not in this series. It’s my first time watching them and they just lack the tension. IDK whether to blame Siwaj or what because I did see a clip of their kiss from Only Boo and it was much better than the kisses they were delivering here. I hope they get a better director for their next series. I wish them luck. I’m also excited for SurfJava’s MuTeLuv story… so sad I have to wait until next month but also excited for Roommate Chaos this year too. This year is for all the SurfJava fans (Hope they get their mascot soon).

FR. I don’t see how people who are too blinded on hating Van’s past actions (which he acknowledged and apologized for) can’t see that this was the very FIRST TIME he was vulnerable with Farm. He usually always flirts and jokes around but this time, he trusted him enough to open up to him about feeling lonely without his parents. I’m pretty sure Farm was the only person he took to his parents’ resting place too. He even said that he talks a lot about Farm to them. Since Van promised Farm he’s gonna work on himself to prove he’s worthy of his love then it confirms all this time Van did love Farm but because of his fear of being abandoned and losing BOTH parents at such a young and is literally an ORPHAN, he never knew what real love was and even asked Farm if he could be a good love to him while he was asleep in the classroom. Van literally said he couldn’t go back to being just friends but he was also afraid to get back together with him because he could hurt him with his bad habits. Before Van didn’t know what love was but everything he described Farm IS the definition of love. He said he feels safe and warm around him but with his history of being a playboy, he wasn’t gonna magically change overnight. That’d be unrealistic. I do like how it took A LOT of lecturing from Mai and his yearning for Farm for him to wake up and get his sh!t together.

What I love is Van giving Farm a sincere heartfelt apology and then actually proving he’s remorseful by changing his bad habits. Unfollowing all his exes is a step in the right direction. He told Farm he was gonna prove himself worthy of his love and he’s doing just that. It goes to show Van isn’t giving empty promises anymore. Before, he would only say “sorry” to get off the hook but this time you can see he’s serious about winning Farm back and he’s ready to commit to a serious relationship now.

True. I don’t think a lot of people realize that a bad script and director is largely at fault for why even a good actor can’t perform well. The actors just do their best with the material they’re given. I wouldn’t say H2H has a good script or director by any means (I really dislike New Siwaj’s directing style for many reasons) but that specific scene where Van breaks down his walls to Farm about how he feels lonely at home without his parents and keep making excuses to not go back DESTROYED ME. The way Java’s voice trembled and broke between his lines was spot on. When we cry, our voice breaks when we try to speak so that was REAL crying right there. Some other actors get really snotty when they cry (Prem in Between Us, Billkin in ITSAY) Actors have different ways of crying but as long as you can just feel the authenticity of it then that’s all that matters.

I first watched Java in Summer Night back when he was still paired with Ryu but I wasn’t impressed with his acting and RyuJava as a ship didn’t give me the chemistry I wanted but after watching this series, I have become a fan of SurfJava’s chemistry and Java really wowed me with his acting here. I didn’t know he was THIS good. His crying is so natural and believable because there’s nothing I hate more than watching a fake crying scene that ends up making me cringe because I can’t connect with the character’s emotions. Java is gonna go really far as an actor, especially if he’s given a good script.

This is my first time seeing Surf in any series and I didn’t realize it was Java in Summer Night. I did watch that and forgot he was paired with Ryu before. I think SurfJava and MondRyu are better fits for each other so I’m happy with their current partners.

I’m loving SurfJava’s chemistry… the way they speak with their eyes is crazy good, but FarmVan’s relationship is so toxic. They need to stay broken up. It’s literally giving KhaiThird (Theory of Love) level of toxic with Khai/Van playing with Third/Farm’s feelings and being incredibly selfish and possessive. Their friendship is barely salvageable at this point. However, I’m still excited for SurfJava’s other series, especially the MuTeLuv one that was originally supposed to be OhmLeng but got replaced. I was intrigued with the pilot from the start and they’re supposed to give enemies to lovers in that one.

FR. BL fans are so boring and predictable. Always complaining about the school drama and romcoms but GMMTV continues to produce those series because it’s what SELLS. They have experimented a lot with other genres in 2025 but they don’t show much results compared to their basic BL formula. At the end of the day, no matter how many people try or be edgy hating on the fluffy school romance, it’s what is most popular. You can’t demand for dark mature complex plots then complain that’s it’s too confusing and complex for your pea sized brain to handle. Like, maybe try using some critical thinking skills especially when it’s a psychological mystery drama 🙄

Speaking of psychological mystery/thrillers, Friendshit Forever is genuinely really good but nobody is even watching that because it’s not a GL (or even a BL) so they’re missing out on top tier acting and plot 😪

Prem specifically said they wanted to do romcom this time since comedy is a challenge for him and they’ve done a lot of dark theme shows already
