This comment section is on fire (honestly, wild af) and it’s not a good thing. I know that MDL is users from all over the world and of different ages, but reading some of the comments, one gets the impression that at least half of the commenters should not be here at all - this series is intended for viewers over 18.
After what I saw on the Pit Babe forum I thought nothing would surprise me anymore, but seriously... the level of toxicity here exceeds all standards. Plus for the show for stirring up extreme emotions and an introduction to discussion. However, let's remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If someone doesn't think that a teacher-Non situation is rape, it doesn't mean that he is a pedophile or normalizes this type of behavior. If I don't wish most of the characters a painful death after each episode, it doesn't mean that I don't care about the problem of peer harassment. Some of the comments resemble cesspools poured out by hormone-infused teenagers, and the attacks on people who dare to write something different are kind of absurd.
To paraphrase, let's share our own opinion on DFF and let others do so - preferably in a civilized manner.
A little has been explained, but there is still a lot to come. What really happened to the rogue teacher and the not-so-innocent Non? Does the joint appearance of Phee and Tan from the preview confirm their plan to expose a gang of juvenile abusers? Is Non alive? Who will survive the massacre in the desolate cottage, and who will remain DFF?
And most importantly, when will we see how the fates of our "cute" couples are reunited? I'm still waiting for the Tee/White and Phee/Jin flashbacks, their story probably interests me the most. There are still four episodes to go, so I'm hoping for some sexy and bloody action.
the scene with last roleplay with Keen and Captain was staged? I mean Keen covered himself with a sweatshirt/jacket with a super-visible "Coach" patch, so it's possible he recorded everything to get revenge on Captain. In the preview you can see that Captain was expelled from the university, perhaps the reason is this sex video?
Same with the whole Puen/Keen/Captain situation - I think Keen is deliberately heating up the atmosphere to punish Captain.
Otherwise, such a quick forgiveness of what Captain did would be ridiculous, although very playboyyish :)
This series is another work of the studio responsible for Beyond the Star (with its peculiar approach to storytelling), so I expect the worst. Lots of pairings, disappearing characters, forgotten plots - BtS is a trauma in itself, you watch and rub your eyes in amazement. Here the situation repeats itself - Foam travels back in time, but it's just an excuse to squeeze in more NC scenes out of context :) Still plot is no plotting, actors know how to kiss, but it looks like they don't enjoy it at all, characters appear out of nowhere, and the work of the "hosts" is a strange addition to this sauce.
Do I enjoy this work? Hell yeah, I probably have a thing for Z-grade series. Currently it's the second (next to For Him the Series) poorly edited series with wasted potential that I'm wasting my time on, and I don't intend to stop at all!
The sad part is that we're at the halfway point of the story, and there really isn't much of a story here. That means two options: a packed-out final episodes or a repeat of the traumatic end of the BtS story, which looked like a prelude to the second season, but was hardly one.
I dropped it at episode 4. Is there some kind of progress after that?
Yeah, it's getting progressively worse :) The beginning of the series was promising, but more or less from the 3rd episode onward there is a downward slope. Annoying characters, meaningless dialogues and editing so so bad that I really wonder who approved it. Call me masochist, but I'm still going to make it to the end :)
The preview was a bit confusing, but to me there is a possibility that Phee was not fwb with Non, but is in fact his brother.
Many series purposely release misleading previews - perhaps that was the case this time, too, and the words didn't always follow the picture, and the suggestion to switch from fwb to boyfriends was directed at someone else. Just my guess.
Otherwise, the whole situation between Phee-Non-Jin would not make sense. Or that's exactly the point.

for me, this series had potential, the first episodes were promising, the actors were charming, and the atmosphere was pleasant... much can be forgiven, but the ending is just bland, and yet the last episode lasts almost twice as long as the previous one! only a special episode could save it, but there's probably no chance of that

The episode lasts 53 minutes, but it lacks any kind of closer interaction between MLs, virtually zero romance. Night argues with his brother, then with his father, and finally learns that Dream has decided to close the cafe and leave. I don't know what the time frame of the whole situation is, but eventually Night writes a book (the title is NightDream) and continues to run the cafe. Eventually Dream returns and discovers that his former cafe is still in use, and the owner is none other than Night. Night and Dream reconcile - we have a hug, book signings and a meal together. The End
What was so dissapointing for me? No single kiss in reality, not even a peck :(
And I have no idea what the final status of their relationship is - I didn't understand a word :)
Wanna spoilers? You can watch leaked 6th episode from one of chinese sites, but it has no eng subtitles, so the story isn’t entirely clear, more guesses than facts. I've been there, seen it and am still waiting for the official episode, but being honest the ending is disappointing (at least to me).
