I enjoy so much how the storyline connects - refreshing our memory - with details and cases from S3, and S3 was already stuffed with references to S1 and S2. It makes this drama so brain-stimulating and immersive... I'm totally switched off of reality (and stress-relieved) while watching it that I need some time to retake myself after the daily eps end. Do you have similar sensations?
I usually have ideas about the culprits, but the sudden twist in last two eps regarding the target of this Crimson assassins left me without any clue on who hired them. All leads and tracks till now only confused me, lol
I was just looking for you, wondering if I should tell you it dropped the first case, lol
But I enjoy this case, I feared the cases in S4 will be less interesting and I am glad it isn't the case. But now I fear the people who haven't seen previous seasons won't catch the concept and aesthetics we love so much...
Moonlit Disorder would fit better as a title for this drama, lol... it was such a silly, messy fun which - totally unexpectedly - I've enjoyed a lot! π Usually, I don't like slapstick comedy but the actor playing a pseudo-antagonist Gu Qianfu brought this genre on another level of hilarious. Witty script, with convoluted plot and a lot of funny twists and turns combined with a convincing performance of all actors made it a good watch despite its many flaws in pacing, editing etc. typical for a low budget drama. But the amount of laugh it gave me greatly outweights its flaws. 8/10
The actress plays well this totally diff. character but she can't change her face, and that face is... Ms Su π
Legend of the Magnate... Ms. Su is an arrogant, dangerous and revenge-driven character, definitely an opposite to the role of Qiwen in this drama. That's why her face confuses us a lot π
I was about to praise linguistic efforts put in this drama but just have heard (and seen in the subs) "potter" wine, lol, instead of porto. Now I don't know if this was a flaw in those efforts or deliberate mispronounciation to point out the gaucherie of that bandit employed by the Japanese...
in ep 8 someone tells that mysterious guy that YFS said as long as he is locked the world will continue to be…
I took those words as a metaphore intending to say misterious diviner is a really dangerous and unpredictable person to be feared of. Bc., why would YFS wish the world in peace? His Huben soldiers are attempting to overthrough the current emperor and are attacking powers close to him, such as Gu Yu.
Episode-8An assassination that lasted three years!?!Liu Zi Yan was indeed Huben's top fool. lol
I don't get why LZY (and YFS wanted that strange diviner dead. He is already in a sort of prison in which people from Huben army can enter and exit as they wish
Nope. Itβs an original screenplay by Shuang Cheng whose former projects include Novoland: Eagle Flag, Line Walker:…
thank you, Meg. I didn't like any of those dramas. Besides, I don't like this director either, he makes unnecessary long scenes, I must speed them to avoid to get bored. I don't know how much I'll endure with this story. I am watching ep 4 and all we've got after 3h of watch are basic infos about his vendetta and court situation while being showered with an artificial misterious atmoshere and bunch of names. How do you feel about this drama?

Now I don't know if this was a flaw in those efforts or deliberate mispronounciation to point out the gaucherie of that bandit employed by the Japanese...
That's why I don't understand this level of antagonism among the killers back then.
How do you feel about this drama?
