watching ep 6. the doctor wants to buy a house there… or she’s like « we can all live together » what?…
The doctor fell in love with her, what's wrong with that? The screenwriters can't elaborate better, bc. gay love is banned from c dramas, the authors can only use music and such apparently nonsensical scenes to hint towards special feelings she has for her
with pride for his eldest son. I can't believe he didn't just get up and just hug him to death. He came up with…
yes, I agree. Part of their interactions is for the show (they are very alike actually), part is a genuine resentment (the case of his mother which must not be mentioned), but there's also emotional manipulation ("if you don't withdraw the marriage order, then kill me too"). His father is a ruler ofc., but his son is still a son and has means to press him... it would be wiser for the emperor to consult him before making decisions regarding the family, espc. his precious sister in order to avoid emotional blasts which hurt.
Just elaborating on @Megumi's post, the cricket 灶马 she left him is a kitchen insect that usually leaves faint…
oh thank you, I've tried to decipher with translation tools before I've asked and saw there was even the "stove" in that cricket and truly couldn't figure out anything 😅😅😅

There's a reciprocity in this fait accompli presentations. The emperor is the same towards him, he doesn't consult him, doesn't help him out, it's only logical for FSG to act this way. Besides, what Ximena said, he expected the news will lure Zhuang to come out... killing two flies with one move
So this guy weiran now wants to kill Yixiao 💀 Why don't they reveal reason quick 😑
may be connected with the poison... or with the fact she disrupted a secret plan to lure the Feng army into the Pingling city agreed with internal enemies of FSG...
I also can’t get what she is trying to portray here. Is she the number one fan for FL, yet she appears smart…
I think she was imagined as a (gay) person who has fallen in love with her heroine, her idolizing imagination of FL makes her be so overboard. Her character isn't sufficiently deepened by the scriptwriters due to restrictions and the actress also has no references how to play such a character. They gave us a few hints during their first meeting, doctor's overprotectivness towards the FL and a harsh way she treats all men around the FL... if the story doesn't provide any romantic matching hints for her, we should just take for granted her different interest in FL
Could be but why would an emperor go and personally get rid of a powerless general? (political power btw)
Hi, dear PBG, haven't seen you around for a while... I am so happy you watch this too so I can read your comments. Yes, I agree obviously, that's why I've said we can't rule out that dàrén acts according to the emperor's wishes/orders, we just don't know sufficient pieces of the story behind to deduce who is after her life. Besides, for how lowly, those assassins are well trained Zhennan soldiers who can even recognize the abducted kid as her pupil and who served together with the kid's father. Pity the kid didn't recognize him but she heard what that assassin said as well as the other one who said he served as her guard, having another confirmation that people after her life are "her people"

if you rewatch ep 3, min 39', you'll hear a distinct dàrén (大人) which is used in costume/historical setting to indicate a person of high status or occupation, it's a title of respect as "excellency", "lordship" and similar in English. I'm not a Mandarin speaker but have seen enough costume drama to distinguish this term and think it would be disrespectful to use it with reference to the emperor. Those killers weren't sent by the emperor but by someone else with high status but inferior to the emperor. Ofc., we cannot know at this point if that dàrén acts according to the emperor's wishes/orders or against them. We've only seen Susha court till now.
FSG makes a very good point when he asks why hasn’t your precious prince come to look for you yet……everything…
There's another Xia in the list of roles: Xia Jing Yan who may be involved... The emperor od Shusha mentioned JX royal relatives are not close to each other...

In this way she told him she got some clues and is going to find more
