There are good ones like 'Unfamiliar stranger' and 'butterflied lover'. Definitely not on par with long dramas, but not cheap either.

I'm confused whether this is a compliment or satire (probably satire). Propaganda is a weird word, everything and everyone in a way has an agenda they want to accomplish and an image they want to portray, starting by the US. In the end, everyone has common sense, what you embrace and what you reject are up to you to decide. Chinese entertainment has come a long way. Some productions now rival korean dramas and that's fine (I am a kdrama fan before anything) we don't have to turn it into propaganda wars bcz all media is in its core: an agenda.
