Well, this wasn't so bad after all. Went in with zero expectations and it was quite an enjoyable watch. Gotta love minidramas just for the fact that any misunderstanding is cleared up faaast and the pacing is also on the go🏃♀️.
Positive notes: - green flag relationship between both leading couples, almost no toxicity, ; - the 2FL got over the ML fast and became a ride or die bestie with the FL, loved that a LOT; - nice pacing of the plot; - no ''break-up to protect you'' trope; - nicely wrapped-up happy ending
Not-so-positive notes: - it pissed me off how the FL is supposed to be a trained assassin, but always needing to be saved by the ML; - flat kisses of the leads and every time the ML tried to kiss the FL, she looked like she was in pain, it was hard to watch which sucks because often the chemistry in mini dramas is fire, was hoping for that here;
All in all, for me it was a good distraction from heavy angsty dramas that are currently airing 💜
Yup, I love the aesthetics, the way certain scenes are shot and the vibe overall, especially the first half of the series, I cannot express how many dramas I dropped these past weeks, but this one got me hooked immediately 💜

Aish, don't even get me started on Luo Mei....her personality legit glitched in this drama, for real! I really liked her character, the way it was introduced it gave me hope that her story will be awesome and she will be a powerful ally, but damn, your long comment regarding this is on point. The characters directions in this drama are a bit disappointing not gonna lie.....the fact that she was a powerful general, not some green girlie out of schoolroom and the CP was able to play her like that with his delulu lemonade is wild. The biggest villain in this drama is love - it has turned the heroic characters from smart and resourceful to dumb-asses unable to tell right from wrong ...lol I'm so pissed 😅
I'm actually loving this a lot!!! Although they overdid it a little bit with the lovesick simping ML. He was such an interesting character in the beginning lol, like I love watching love of course, but I wish it was going in another direction with the romance...the leads were very much in sync all the time and there's a thousand different ways the ML could've handled the situation, yet they went with the "I'm hurting you sooo bad to protect you, I'm handing you over to my love rival and watching you in heartbreak from afar" trope...smdh.... nevertheless, still it's a very good drama, probably amongst my favourites this year 🤩
I'm at ep.9 and I like the leads, they're smart and resourceful, but idk, obviously they're not siblings but I'm still weirded out by this....can't imagine them as a couple. Maybe I'll come back to continue watching it when I have nothing else to watch....
