This was a cute drama for its genre, especially if you don't take it very seriously and want to catch a break from angsty and serious dramas.
It started to get better at episode 4, before that the FL was a bit too much, but then she grew on me 😂 😂 😂
We have the typical rom-com with a rich CEO ML and the bubbly, career focused FL, where he fell first and harder lol. The chemistry is good and the writers were generous with skinship and kisses in this one, loved it for this.
Although I'm kind of bummed a little bit of the dynamic of the leads, I mean it seemed that the ML was putting the majority of work in their relationship, while the FL was skittish and they made it look that she doesn't care enough, but on the other hand I do get it a lot actually - just because a really good guy (he's pretty much the whole package) has feelings for you and wants to be with you and is a walking green flag it doesn't mean it will go smoothly, cause if homegirl is not ready and is overwhelmed by it all, then that's that, can't really blame her. It's not that she didn't appreciate him, it's just taken her a while to be on the same page and work on her insecurities. I appreciate that the ML was not bitter and pushy about it,pretty much the perfect man hahahaha

We couldn't escape from the extra annoying 2FL with pretty much zero self respect, but at least there was no ugly, non-nonsense break-up of the leads.
The second and third couple did not interest me much so I skipped their screen time 🤷‍♀️
All in all a nice choice to decompress in the evening after work 😸

I watched Wonderland of love a good while back, it's amazing 🤩
I tried watching The legends but then I saw how many episodes plus I've read comments say it has a pretty bad ending and I stayed away from it 😆😂

It has a bit of the vibe of Provoke in terms of plot tone and because it's a republican era I guess, but there are a some kisses here, not a lot (maybe 3, I'm not sure), but they're decent enough.

Re-watching this for the millionth time, cause I'm in a watching slump right now, why am I bored with all the ongoing dramas and dropping them halfway? Bruuuuh someone smack me 😭😭😭

Haha yeah, BYK is so extra everything, but it was entertaining 😂 I had fun watching it, the ML's performance was great, but I loved more his other project ''Present is Present'' - great relationship and chemistry, both leads are likeable and the plot is more interesting imo

Oh really? Interesting and indeed it offers more artistic liberty and I'm here for it lol. Recently finished the mini drama ''Be your knight'', definitely some artistic liberty going on there 😂
Btw, if you enjoyed the chemistry and mature relationships of the leads in ''A dream of splendor'', you will enjoy the drama ''Parallel World'' - its a completely different genre, but the leads and the supporting cast are amazing, definitely recommend 💜

One of my all time favourites! ML is such an eye candy, swoon 😍 And loving the OST a lot, aven after I watched a good while ago, still vibing 😍😍😍

I suppose so, still, it's very frustrating 🤦‍♀️That is why I often prefer mini dramas, it seems that the censorship is not that strict and they are able to sneak in some hot smooching and stuff 😜

Gosh dammit, 56 episodes?! Buahaha and i thought Arsenal military academy was long, broooooo I need the days to be like 36-48 hours long so I can binge this after work 😭😭😭

Ok, this was a very entertaining drama, especially the first half, I think I've got abs from so much laughter ahahaha
Loved the brown tones of the show, it was pleasing to the eyes, and the OST was also 🔥.
The leads were amazing, Xu Kai was perfect, he was such a little sh*t in this, I loved him lmao. Bai Lu was also fabulous, she played a very convincing handsome guy lol, and the bickering and antics she got going on with the ML was top tier, I never got bored when these two were on screen.
Another favorite of mine would be Qu Manting, she was a sassy queen, I loved her so much, although she became quite an annoying plot device when the writers made her the 2FL, like whyyyy, she and Gu Yanzhen had such chaotically fun besties slash drinking buddies vibe, they were hilarious brooo 😭
As great as this drama was it could be like 15-20 episodes shorter, at a certain point around episode 29 I got so tired of watching it that I abused the ff button, like there was so much dragging and childish behaviour, pfft. Also, I'm very sure everyone was disappointed because the kissing scenes, and a lot of other scenes between our leads have been cut out due to the censorship, I knew this before starting watching it, stil, daamn...bless the heart of the wonderful people who posted the deleted scenes on MDL, y'all are the best 😍

Yes I agree about the rushed love story...I'll never understand how the heck they manage to do rush endings and rushed plots in a 40+ episode drama, like how?! And I'm speaking for 99% of the cdramas out there haha makes no sense to me.

Yes, their bickering is hilarious, the whole crew is hysterically funny 🤣🤣🤣 I really loved Qu Man Ting the most until she fell for the ML and started being annoying, but I did love her and Gu Yan Zhen's chaotic besties chemistry, I know they were leads in another drama ''Dance of the sky empire'' so I'll have to check it out after AMA

Ahahaha yes, Yinzhang was hilarious and she had a really nice character growth. I started AMA yesterday and it's loads of fun, Xu Kai plays the role of a little sh*t perfectly ahaha 🤣🤣🤣

Boy, what a ride 😻
 We've got everything in this - nice fighting scenes, badass ML (compete with an evil twin), capable FL (thank heavens no annoying childish voice and behaviour), thrown in also an unlimited amount of pinkie swears, guns blazing left and right aaaaand our cute (alcoholic) leads having a surprisingly sweet relationship and decent chemistry; lots of action, revenge and gangsters y'all, making this a very entertaining series, even though it was so extra and very dramatic at times and the pacing was crazy fast, as well as the soundtrack was hyper (I mean it was very catchy, I vibed a lot with it, but there were times when they changed the ost a couple of times in the same scene, very ADHD lol) still, I enjoyed a lot the suspense and plot, definitely worth checking out. The actors and the crew did a fantastic job, Xiao Xiao is my favorite in this 👏👏👏
 This gave me strong vibes of the drama "Provoke" and turns out the director of BYK was the producer in Provoke so it makes sense now.
