This was really good, chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥, amazing OST with a captivating plot, looking forward to see the leads in their next project together, which they will have according to MDL yass 😍
Checked this out while waiting for ''The double'' episodes to drop and actually liking this one quite a bit. The story is good, a lot of familiar cast, but fellow viewers, if you came here for some fluffy romance I'm afraid you'll be a little disappointed. The ML does love the FL very much and it appears that he's utterly devoted to her, but it is one sided practically the entire drama, and it takes the FL way to long to figure her heart out, which we don't get to see, only assume . All in all, I was not expecting such ''sort-of-happy'' resolution given the plot, but I think it's the most realistic and appropriate one. I hope to see the leads in another project because I really liked their chemistry and their behind-the-scenes interactions are funny and it is evident they are very comfortable with each other in real life 🤩.
It was a light drama, nothing serious and tons of eating lol, an okay choice to watch in between other dramas. The chemistry is minimal though, the FL is quite capable, no childish voice or damsel-in-distress plot for her. The ML's character is quite a trip, his tantrums were entertaining lmao it was refreshing seeing Wang Xing Yue playing a more loose role, he usually plays very composed and sort of stiff characters (at least the ones I've seen). It was also a nice touch seeing him interact with his FL from ''Your Sensibility My Destiny'' and they had better chemistry here than in that drama 😂😂😂 I'm okay with both endings, I had a feeling it was heading there anyway, watching so many c-dramas I'm quite used to last minute resolutions lol.
This was an enjoyable drama, very wholesome. The ML is a sweetheart all the way and the FL is is also capable and pretty (I appreciate that the writers did not make her baby voiced and dressed like a school girl) . The leads love was pure and healing to watch and they had good chemistry. A perfect watch for a cozy evening to decompress from the heavy stuff.
Agree with the bellow comment, good plot with nice twists but the finale... I thought the story was going for something bigger and mysterious, but it kinda deflated. Still a nice show to watch and I love that it has only 10 episodes
I really liked this drama, it had a really good plot (although not original at all), and I really like the actor who plays the ML, I've seen him in other shows and I just love him now. Although the story has tons of angst I'm glad they got a redo in the end. The chemistry was also quite good between the leads, not many kisses but lots of tension. Too bad I had to watch different episodes on like 5 or 6 sites, because there's no subtitles... a real scavenger hunt lol
This was a very compelling drama. Wonderful cast, beautifully shot and directed with cool fighting scenes. We've got a really well executed amnesia trope and a nicely woven flashback into the story. The main characters are amazing, both ML&FL conveyed their emotions in a very impactful way, I couldn't help but cry along with them, and their chemistry was really good. I wasn't sure about the ML's character at first, he was so aggressive in the beginning (but a really awesome fighter though), but it turned out his love for his wife was incredibly sweet. Same for the FL - her love for her husband was immense. Their love story was very pure and that is why the ending just completely broke me. It kind of made sense, but I also agree with many comments about the ML just leaving their daughter and offing himself...perhaps he knew she would be well loved and taken care of...idk I like how we got to see some of the cast from ''Butterflied lover'' and ''A familiar stranger'', I'm pretty sure it has some of the locations as well, but I could be wrong. The only downside (apart from the ending) was the background music - in some episodes it was so loud that you couldn't hear the dialogue, which made it quite difficult to watch ( I watched it on Viki, hopefully they'll fix this issue) So fellow viewers, if you like slightly darker toned dramas, and are not put off by a really sad ending, you should definitely check this one out, especially that the length of the episodes is shorter which makes it less tiresome to watch than a full length drama. Peace and love y'all 🥰
I enjoyed watching this and really loved the concept of both leads ''travelling'' from modern times into the novel. Loved the chemistry and chaotic vibes of the leads )))))
This drama had me wheezing 🤣🤣🤣 I wasn't sure about it at first, but I hadn't laughed so much in ages. The FL is just awesome and the ML's comedic expressions are hilarious, the leads are very cute together, but I have to admit I had second lead syndrome all through the drama, the second ML had really good chemistry with the FL and I found him even more attractive in all aspects, I know he starred as a ML in a couple of mini dramas so I'll definitely check those out. Peace and love y'all!
This was a very good drama, I really enjoyed the concept, production and acting. Chef's kiss! The main leads' characters is my kind of characters all the way, ain't no black and white with them baby! I really enjoy Daisy Li's projects, I have seen several of them with her as the FL and all of them were awesomely delivered. I'm conflicted about ML's actor choice to be honest, to me it seemed he is too young and not intense enough for this role, but that's only my POV, he's still a cutie.
This was a very cute and lighthearted drama, with minimum angst. The romance was very sweet and the second lead couple were a whole mood, I loved their chaotic vibe 😂😂😂
This was an amazing series with an unique plot, especially for a cdrama. The twists and reveals were neat and I'm so glad I read a few comments that advised to stay away from spoilers, which I did and was able to enjoy it fully. Loved everything about it, and loved how gentle was the romance in this one.
Also, I can't stress enough how much I appreciate the fellow viewers that leave really helpful comments and often save me the trouble of scrolling for a loooong time to find out the details I need to know in order to watch the dramas. Kudos ❤️❤️❤️
This drama gave me mixed feelings to be honest... On the positive note: - the leads were amazing and their chemistry was fire, I enjoyed their presence on screen. Their kisses - awesome. - the rest of the cast did a good job; - the production and directing was great for such a short drama, it's a good quality show.
The flow of the drama was a bit confusing at the beginning, at first I thought that I missed an episode lol. The story itself is pretty typical with mortal life tribulations and reincarnation of star crossed lovers, and I had no problem with that, but I did find their love hard to watch. The Emperor was way too obsessed with the FL in my opinion, and the FL could've easily avoided this tragic fate, I mean given the fact that they both gained their past life memories should attest to something, but it did absolutely nothing. I guess the message they wanted to convey is that some things are powerless in the face of love, and you cannot escape your fate or something like that. It was pretty bitter to watch their tragic ending. However, there is the continuation of this show called Chasing Love that I haven't watched yet, maybe it will give this story the well deserved closure.
I'm also bummed that even though this show is on the Wetv app which I have a subscription with btw, this particular series are not available in my region, and I have to look for the episodes on other free sites, with awful subtitles which is stupid and makes me wonder why do I even bother paying for platforms and still am not able to have access to the full content....smh...I know it's not the platform's fault, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating...
I usually like revenge plots, and it was a somewhat okay drama, but the amount of manhandling the women got from these violent men was excessive, and people being slapped and shot all the time was really tiring to watch... don't get me started on our leads...every time the ML grabbed the FL by the neck gave me so much stress 😰😰😰
