This was quite a journey to watch. Some phrases just made me stop and ponder about things for a good while. I did not read the books nor did I check the synopsis, you could say I went in completely blind, maybe that is why I felt clueless while watching this for the most part lol. The characters, the cinematography and the plot itself were all exceptional. The soundtrack was also amazing, some parts very similar to the ''Dark'' series, in fact the whole show had a similar vibe - sort of hopelesness and distress the whole time I watched it. They did portray the ''western'' characters in a too dramatic, perhaps satirical way, not really impressed with the aspect to be honest. The first half of the series was slow paced, excruciatingly so. It picks up in the second half and the last quarter of the series was just mind blowing. I'm definitely considering reading the books now. Peace and love y'all 🥰
This has mended the broken hearts of the ''Princess Agents'' fans out there 🥹 Really lovely story, visuals, fights, characters, and the leads relationships is goals 🥰 especially when they were goofing around. I did not expect the FL's ''supposed'' fiance FuRong to grow on me, but he is one of my favorites now 🤣 🤣 🤣 the character development is superb in this show. Even though I found some parts of the story a bit too slow, still, this will be 100% my comfort watch for the future.Peace and love y'all 💝
Agreed, there are a lot of great dramas to explore )))) I did notice that about a lot of k-dramas, some of them are my all time favourites, but most of them even though are up to 20 episodes are hard to get through, I dropped a lot of them because I've lost interest, and tbh many of them are way too overrated.....but to be fair same can be said about some high rated c-dramas, some are really not worth the hype, but personally I like cdramas over kdramas, I find them more multilateral and engaging. Thanks! I already peaked at your lists just now and there are some c&k dramas that I did not watch, will check them out, thank youuuuuuu 💟
Woah, 87 episodes is a lot indeed!! To be honest I did not watch these dramas, particularly because of the length.... patience is not my strongest quality haha 😁😁 But I do get you, there are rare instances when the length adds up to the quality of the show. Unfortunately for me, 99% of the dramas that I watched that are longer than 40 episodes, I've got trauma from the repetitive plot and unnecessary misunderstandings, and Ashes of love is no exception 😭and even more tragic when you get a happy ending in like the last 5 minutes of the show 😭😭😭
Thanks!☀️ I wish they had episode limits in place, like 24 or the maximum of maximums: 36 eps, but thats the maximum it can get (sheesh I think I used up the world maximum for like, a decade 🤓)
Why did the cast receive so much hate? They did nothing wrong. I don’t get why people are hating on them
Yeah me neither, so much hate, especially for the female lead 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I may get attacked in the comment section, but I actually enjoyed all of the performances of the cast.
I loved seeing Lin Yi & Zhou Ye - they are great and chaotic together 💜💜💜 and I know this is based on a novel, but still - I wish he would see through her frail act and fall for her before knowing she's his online crush....also the writers made her a tad too obsessed with him in the beginning, like damn girl, chill ...but oh well, I still had fun watching this.
This one wasn't that good, I agree with one of the comments, FL is too silly & naive, doing some stupid at times…
Agreed. This had all the elements that I usually enjoy watching, and I really like the ML...but somehow I couldn't enjoy it, mainly because of the FL...what a pity...
