how was it possible to force her fake name on the marriage stone?
The ML was scribbling that name so many times that the lovers ducks keepers went, “Man, I’m not paid enough for this—do whatever ritual you’re doing, we're out”
Youku’s playing the long game here. Releasing just one episode a day keeps viewers hooked, talking, and boosting…
Oh I totally agree with you 😭 I also struggle to follow more than one drama at a time — I like focusing fully on one story, then moving on once I’ve emotionally recovered 😂 It’s definitely not fair for the drama that airs later, because it gets overshadowed when the other one’s at its peak. I’m not sure what’s really going on with Youku’s scheduling, but judging by how things have been lately, it does feel a bit out of character for them to air two big costume dramas at once. Maybe it’s just a weird timing thing this round 🤷♀️ or maybe they are indeed using the strategy that I was thinking about in the earlier comments....can't say for sure
Yes, this will have express, no way Youku will miss a chance to charge us more money 😂Excited for Blood River…
Yup, 23 peak noble idiocy ark she doesn't say mean things to him but doesn't deny anything when he sees her in his spirit well with the GMD in hand. At this point she indeed just says ''yes'' to his every accusation which i guess in her mind this will make it easier for him to move on.
Here we see the ML destroy the GMD and as far as the FL knows he doesn't have the cure anymore nor does she know whether he still has the poison effects. We are all speculating whether JBZ will still need the cure for his poison but it's not really clear or confirmed atp. She did not apologise yet properly after that blunder , instead she went on a quest to find the cure recipe and make another GMD. So no, she has no idea if the ML needs it. Once he realises she's MX, he starts chasing her and being more sassy cause he now knows she's not loyal to another man, just trying to survive. The baby faced SML starts showing signs when he starts killing his brothers and has that cold evil face and also, he blindly refuses to accept that ming yi doesn't see him more that a person she's indebted to.

In ep.23 it becomes a little bit more clear regarding ML's poisoning, he confirms that he too was poisoned with the heavenly grief while in the Sunken Abyss and he got cured because his master found him and cured him in time. He also explains to the FL that since many realms are after the cure, his master made him promise that he will not let the golden millet dream surface again. At this point I think the FL decided to not take the cure and leave the ML and made him think that she was lying to him all this time and was after the GMD instead of explaining properly ( peak noble idiocy and needless misunderstanding) because she is dying and doesn't want the ML to suffer so he'd rather hate her. Honestly, ep.23-24 will piss you off so much because there is so much dumb sacrifice and needless pain, I can't even....
As to why was the ML poisoned and who is behind this, the drama has not revealed yet, from what we've seen the whole Sunken Abyss was basically kidnapping and testing the poison on the poor people.
They defeat the LOTR netherbeasts in ep.22 , and Mu Qibai's ark is finally over ( his plot was way longer than I wanted tbh). we also see some good decision from the healer dude's part, but I'm still pissed at him, imo no matter what your intentions are - if you repeatedly lie and hurt to the person you're supposedly loving - that's not love. This is why i get the overall frustration with the FL.
Ji Bozai pieces it together by ep.25 FL's identity, and I'm thinking he will give her the cure in ep.26, but I'm not sure since there's a huge plot twist in there regaridng their both identities.

Fair take — there’s such a thin line between emotional build-up and straight-up viewer torture, and this drama keeps tripping over it 😭
I like your point about writing and adaptation — it really shows how messy things get when the emotional logic doesn’t quite hold.
For me, I watch different dramas for different reasons, and this one? It’s 100% a vibes-and-chemistry watch. The visuals, the leads, the atmosphere — that’s what keeps me hooked😂
Now that we’ve only got 12 episodes left to untangle everything, I just hope they don’t rush through and gloss over too much. Both the novel and the show have their flaws, but I’ll still stand by this JBZ being miles more likable than the book version 😭 And yes — team cat and team dragon forever, they’re the only ones using their brain cells consistently 💀 Atp I have no idea what I'm gonna rate this....
Right? I'm used to this actress play badass female lead roles in short dramas and it's giving me whiplash
I'm thinking it's a bigger project for her even if it's not a lead role, still it's more exposure as an actress compared to short dramas, but damn, this character of hers in LITC is sending meeee😭😭😭😭

Ahh, insomnia sucks big time 😩 I hope you get some proper rest soon😭
But honestly? This is one of those rare cases where the drama actually outshines the novel. The ML in the book was a straight-up man-slut 💀 Like, he literally sleeps around, looks down on women, sleeps with the FL in chapter one, and still messes with others while they’re ''together''. Oh—and let’s not forget the secret marriage to a princess for a whole year 😭 He annoyed the hell out of me in the novel, so I’m actually relieved they rewrote his entire personality here.
They basically nerfed his trash era and redirected all the frustration toward the FL instead 😂 That’s why I’m a bit bummed seeing everyone hating on her now—like, y’all don’t even know the book version of JBZ… woof 😭

😭😭 Not the “FL smokes weed” part — I’m actually wheezing 💀
Honestly, I knew I shouldn’t have started this while it’s airing — now I’m marinating in weekly chaos like it’s character development 😩 Still, I can’t stop watching. It’s got me hooked, stressed, and questioning my sanity… pure masochism at this point 😂
But yeah, since they dragged this arc for so many episodes, I just hope they won’t rush the rest. I read the novel a while back, and this whole part actually gets resolved faster and with way less drama. I get that adaptations need creative twists, but here they really boosted the ML while making the FL ten times more frustrating 😭 Also 5 am, daamn that's wild lmao hope you get enough sleep
Guys does Ji Bozai actually have the Golden Millet Dream? Ming Yi says he doesn’t and other characters say he…
He does have it, however the FL thinks he destroyed it in ep.23. As for her saying he doesn't have it is to stop others from claiming it from the ML, at first because she wanted it for herself, and later because she started caring about him and didn't want JBZ to break his promise to his master ( he promised his master he will not let GMD surface again)

Lmfao damn, you sound like you’ve been through it with this drama 😭 I totally get you though t 😩 As for the SML, same! He’s giving the exact same energy he had in LLTG… maybe he’ll surprise us later, but right now he’s just annoying me 💀
Honestly, since this whole plot started with deception, I’m not that shocked it’s taking the ML ages to put the pieces together — but the clues have been screaming at him! And the FL? Girl, how do you still not get the depth of this man’s feelings? He’d literally hand her his heart on a platter if she asked 😭 This could’ve been wrapped up like 15 episodes ago.
I love both leads though, so I keep giving them leeway — otherwise I’d probably have rage-dropped this already 😂

I'm thinking they’ve realized that historical/fantasy dramas have long post-production cycles (VFX, censorship approvals, reshoots, etc.), and those delays make it risky to rely on just one hit at a time. So now they stack a few dramas — sometimes even overlapping — to keep the app alive in case one underperforms. It’s like running parallel hype engines.
And yeah, they absolutely gatekeep. Some dramas sit on the shelf for 2–3 years waiting for a “good release window” (aka no other big titles stealing attention, or until a lead actor becomes hot again). Then suddenly — boom — it drops with two episodes and a cliffhanger that wrecks your sleep schedule.... I'm absolutely losing my sleep over LITC, but I also understand that these things....they’re just painfully calculated
they are only releasing one episode a day, damn... why dragging it on, new drama "red river" or "blood…
Youku’s playing the long game here. Releasing just one episode a day keeps viewers hooked, talking, and boosting engagement across socials — it’s all about staying in the trending zone for weeks instead of days.
Running Love in the Clouds and Blood River side by side isn’t a mistake either; it’s a strategy to keep costume-drama fans glued to the platform. When one drama slows down, the other picks up the buzz, so Youku never loses traffic.
Basically it’s marketing psychology in period robes.
