JBZ's poisoning happened in the Sunken Abyss on purpose, they were testing it on the people that were there, he just happened to be cured supposedly . As for Ming Xian, this also happened over a long period of time, she was being slowly poisoned, so it's definitely ruthless and cruel for both of them 😭

As for the first question - I don't believe he did because he is asking what happened with the cat in the next episode so he is not aware of her situation yet. I think he arrived just as the SML was taking her away, at least that's my read on the scene
