its kind of a major spoiler. if you are sure, I can pm you.
😅 This adaptation will be aimed directly at casual drama viewers. So, expect them to soften Xie Zheng's character, and to exaggerate and prolongue any love triangle or jealousy arc.

After the TPOMB debacle, I’ve learned to expect the worst from novel-to-drama adaptations. Keep in mind, these adaptations are NOT made with novel readers in mind—they’re designed solely to cater to the casual CDrama audience. So, don’t expect the dynamic between Xie Zheng and Chang Yu in the drama to mirror what we see in the novel.
Any form of kindness towards someone who don't need it and disdain it is a burden.... That's a burden in Fiction…
Yes, part of his obsession is deterministic. However, I still hate people (or celestial beings) who can't take no for an answer. One thing I love about the FL, she didn't mislead him or play with his emotions. Her relationship with NXY was unambiguous and she drew her boundaries early. However, NXY, due to his nature, can't understand.
After 20 episodes, I can confidently say this is one of the best Xianxia dramas I’ve ever seen. The special effects are good, the fight scenes are great, and the acting is solid. The story is captivating, especially with its fated love elements, which I love. Most importantly, the pacing is excellent—every emotional moment feels well-earned and natural, never forced. The female lead is phenomenal. Honestly, if this drama had a more widely recognized actress like Bai Lu, its rating would easily be above 8.5. Here’s hoping they nail the second half and ending!
I loved ep 19 so much. So good. My baddie daddy had some amazing acting moments and I seriously thought he was…
I don't think the 2nd ML and FL relationship is that good. He knows she loves only the ML, yet it doesn't seem like he's willing to accept just friendship. I find him kinda annoying.

The adaptation of "Hidden Charms", one of my favorite novels, left a bad taste in my mouth regarding novel to drama adaptations. These screenwriters and directors love to make really bad creative changes. lmao

Whatever they do I hope they keep the essence of their origins and relationships. It's perfect and fascinating in the novel.
This last part of the novel is so good:
"That day I told you I came from chaos, and that the life and death of all beings meant nothing to me. So you hid it from me, went to the Celestial Palace alone, facing death alone, thinking you were no different from other beings in my heart.”
“But Zhao Ming, I didn’t understand then. You’re different from all other beings in this world. I don’t care about others, I only care about you.”
“I waited for you for ten thousand years, searched for you for ten thousand years, just to find you and tell you this in person.”
“Whether as Ah Zhu or Ling’er, for thousands of years, I want to be with you, never parting in life or death.”
“Do you understand now?”
Interestingly, MXL had already expressed those feelings to XXC in the drama in episode 9 when she told him that, in her eyes, there's him and there's everyone else in her eyes. But with adaptions, you never know how they will change things.
I had a feeling NXY was evil from the beginning, but I gave him the benefit of doubt. Now I'm 100% sure he doesn't…
NXY and MXL shippers are masochists setting themselves up for disappointment. Unless they deviate drastically from the source material, MXL will never have romantic feelings for NXY.
I read the novel and I must say....I really hope they change the second half. Ji Bozai in the first half is really…
"She didnt just punish him she broke him over 10 years and made him her mental slave...she saw him suffer and enjoYed it. She also played with other mens hearts just as he had done, even though she should know better."
Could you spoil this part? What did she do exactly? I dropped the novel when I saw the route they taken.
