The show's biggest mistake was briefly paring the PY with the first woman who played Yang Cai Wei. Their relationship was interesting because they genuinely felt they came from different worlds. But that special sauce was lost after the swap. The only show I know that successfully did this type of main character swap after the first actress did exceptionally well is 'Alchemy of Souls.'

Yup, Shen Li is the same. She'll have one of those moments in the second half. The Legends is based on a novel called Ostentatious Zhao Yao. The FL is very similar to Shen Li.

I only read the novel. I absolutely loved it. I heard they botched the drama.

I've never seen The Blue Whisper. But I'll be reading the novel soon. She's one of those types too, uh? lol

That's a good point. SL didn't seem to understand how much she was torturing MF. Being friendzoned by the woman you work with and have to see every day is brutal.

In XZ's defense. Yes, he can be incredibly petty, jealous, and indecisive. But that's his internal struggle. He's a lonely man on a unicycle balancing expensive pieces of porcelain (the 3 realms) in both hands and on his head. If he sneezes (or falls in love) he will lose his balance and destroy everything. However, he caught the flu (he's in love) and desperately wants to sneeze violently. 🤣

Shen Li may act tough but she can't let go no matter how much XZ jerks her around. What ever happened to out of sight out of mind. She spent her days daydreaming about the dude after he left. lol

Yup! The freest and happiest XZ has ever been was when he was a weak mortal being bossed around by SL. 🤣 As an all-powerful god, he's a lonely prisoner. I can't wait to see how the drama adapts some important scenes later.

Yup! And the irony is SL is asking someone who sees himself as a prisoner of fate to set her free. 🤣

I agree she'd be happy if XZ or Furong broke the engagement. However, she's resigned to the fact that it's outside of her control. Hence why she's been quietly hoping that XZ breaks it off.
