Yeah, they're at the calm-before-the-storm stage of their relationship. The moment they fully fall in love, GYX's mask will literally and figuratively fall off. lol

HYT is portraying a soldier with hidden emotional scars. So, the character GYX is supposed to be stiff and guarded.

Although GYX is a good guy, he's been lying to HZ for a while now. When HZ finds out that GYX has been manipulating her for information and he's the guy behind the mask, she will be heartbroken. I'm guessing she'll find out right after completely falling for him. GYX will have to work to earn her trust back.

Am I the only one who feels that Gu Yan Xi is using Hua Zhi to get to the bottom of his mother's murder? Of course, he's slowly developing feelings for her. But for now, he's mostly playing her for info. When Hua Zhi discovers Gu Yan Xi's double identity, she will undoubtedly feel betrayed. This is a great story so far. I love the characters. If you have read the novel, please no spoilers.

I think his acting fits the character he's playing. Once he truly falls for the FL, we'll see a different side of him.

One interesting difference between the novel and the drama. In the novel, Ms Jin tries to woo Shen Li for herself not for other men. I guess it's implied. lol

This drama has great cinematography, good acting, a simple yet engaging story, and likable leads. So far, this is the better "Blossom" show. I wonder how the FL will react after finding out that the ML has been lying to her this whole time.

I hate characters like Mo Fang. At first, they're too conflicted to do the right thing or be the bad guy. So, they allow themselves to be manipulated by someone else. Then, at some point, they find the courage and try to redeem themselves after causing so much pain and suffering. F**k your character arc, Mo Fang.

People would rate the drama 1/10 for the epic trolling or 10/10 for having the guts to troll this hard Lol. But this wouldn't work because we've already been privy to YCW's private thoughts. Unless Shangguan Zhi used some high-level hypnotism to convince herself she's YCW. lol

What a funny subversion. It turns out Youlan isn't the archetype of the crazy and irrelevant female who's in love with the male lead, she's just a C Drama fan just like the rest of us.

This adaptation is so good I wish I had never read the novel so I could enjoy this ride.

I understand your frustration. However, If they made XZ omnipresent and omniscient then there would be a lack tension in the story. XZ would conveniently appear to solve all Shen Li's problems. Also, Shen Li could've asked XZ for help before facing the enemy. However, she's had already agreed to draw some boundaries between herself and XZ. So, she had to rely on herself.
