FINISHED IT.Even wrote a full RANT about it: https://kisskh.at/profile/Kannadin/reviews/429774Final rating…
Lol I just read your review-- I completely agree, especially on how everyone magically did a 180 in the final episode. We just got through 11 episodes of the villagers being the most awful, gossip-y, prejudiced, MEAN group of people (I mean, who tf says the kinds of things they said to Ji Kang Hee when she was a CHILD??!), yet suddenly they're saying she was raised well and being all accepting and happy??
And WHY did they keep inviting those bully kids around? I still don't understand why they kept being around those fools from the beginning. Like why were Seung Eon and Ah Reum hanging out with them at that dinner where they insulted Seung Eon for not having a degree?
I mean, this show really just said "let's not worry about reality and how people act in real life." Truly felt like everything was just to serve the plot. NONE of these characters were believable. Wtf kind of dad is Chun Pil going around helping everyone except his daughter? And yes, there are shitty fathers, but dang, this character just makes no sense at all. Seok Gyeong also makes no sense as a character. He was just created as like a magic fairy for the Kang Hee. And Kang Hee is perhaps the WORST offense of not being a real character: she's stubborn to a point of actual stupidity and so weak when it comes down to the moments where she actually needs to be strong (which is not to say that real people aren't like this, but it was just very annoying and felt more like a plot effect than a real character).
Sorry, I'm going on a rant too lmao. This drama was draining and ridiculous. Flimsy writing, bad plot, paper thin character building, and a rushed pretty bow to tie all the loose threads at the end. 0/10
Ji Yun's dad was irresponsible. Knowing he was the only parent to a young daughter, how could he go into that fire himself? I've been thinking that since the beginning. Yes, he had a heroic heart, but what about his responsibility to protect and care for his child as her only living parent?
So? Cant an individual be a bit unique? That does not means is lol...not professional. Please!
"Appropriate look" is arbitrary though and honestly just a lazy way we visually separate people via classism/prejudice. His having white hair has no impact on his skills and has no negative impact on clients or viewers. Otherwise all old men with white hair would need to resign from their jobs
Spoiler: The leads are separated and don't reunite until the final five to ten minutes of episode 16. No one goes to jail! All the "villains" basically face no karma
One thing I liked about this drama is that both leads especially the FL knew what they were getting into and were…
Ugh, that reminds me of My Love Eun Dong. That drama made me so mad near the end, because the scriptwriter wrote in a joke about how only people who have never experienced love would separate the characters when they are at the climax of their romance, AND THEN SHE DID EXACTLY THAT TO THE LEADS!!! They didn't even reunite until the last few minutes.
But, the quote about only people who haven't loved separate the leads because they don't know how to handle the passion of the romance always sticks with me. If we apply it here, the script writer of My Secret Affair has definitely experienced a passionate love before. ML and FL were not playing around haha
I don't know why but I didn't expect Mi Ae to say those things.
Same here-- I thought she'd be more the type to say "lucky you-- you get a daughter without the pain of giving birth!" or something. The comments she makes about Eun Ho not being good enough feel really forced by the scriptwriters, like they just needed someone to be against the relationship on FL side (and the closest person she has is Mi Ae)
Thank you.You are the first person who did not give reasons and just said you prefer FL fking around & ML only…
He can't give a timestamp because it didn't happen. These incels are just dumb-- they get triggered seeing "simps" in dramas because it reminds them of themselves, only there's no hope of love in their lives so it makes them even more mad to see a "loser" end up with a woman who has actual agency in her life
Nooooooo!! I was really hoping they would stick to 100 episodes-- I'm still traumatized by how much Third Marriage…
Same! Because of the 30 min daily schedule I think the extension for Third Marriage ended up being like two or three weeks extra-- so much torture. They should just compile all the extra episodes into one long episode lol
