Your first paragraph is quite an imaginative negative generalization. Actually, more than 50% of the Chinese people…
I agree but that isn't the point. The point is that looking back at decades of movie history stories with queer themes or centered around gay characters or relationships were used, and in many cases still are being used, as cautionary tales that act both as "representation" for the LGBT community but also as caution that well if you decide on this "lifestyle" either one of you will wind up less than alive or at least you'll both be horribly unhappy. Look at big examples like Brokeback Mountain. It was revolutionary at the time as movie from a major studio that had queer characters at its center but we all know how that movie ends. Because in most cases these movies and show have little correlation to what society at large thinks or feels but much rather they represent the current sociopolitical climate and whatever atmosphere that is meant to be upheld.

....to tell the truth I don't feel like watching this series anymore. I was hoping so much for a happy ending for gay love in China but everything indicates that gays can't love normally and that tragedy hangs over their heads as "punishment" for such a "sin".

Besides I don't understand the love of the second couple and not because they are two guys but because the little blonde reminds the teacher of his dead brother which already seems sick to me.

Besides the difference in age and status (teacher and young student resembling brother) is unacceptable to me. So I was hoping that at least Lu and Xiao will find happiness and love.....

I know that the series is very good but unfortunately not for my heart and nerves.

The time of year in Europe (I am European) and the current weather and atmosphere in general intensify the feeling of sadness and hopelessness even more. For me the series ended with a kiss the couple's accompanied by fireworks.

Thank you

Maybe I'm wrong, but after analyzing the parts we've seen, I've come to the conclusion that the scene where Xiao paints Lu's portrait in a blue sweater and white blouse is a scene from the future. That's how the series started and that's how it will end, with Lu and Xiao living together and Xiao painting Lu's (Lu calls them both boyfriends) and hanging their portraits on the wall in their shared apartment. The series has a great ending, I'm crossing my fingers that I'm right with my conclusion

Man, this is boring. It's more propaganda for learning (with all due respect) sign language than BL series. Where is this series going? Will viewers be taught to sign or will something else happen?

Probably the most beautiful break to make up I've seen. These two are just brilliant. I can't wait to see how…
from what I know Top starts working with Yoon and they have a series together "PS. You" so this is probably the last joint project of Mick/Top unfortunately

I understand where this series is going. It shows the work of actors who have their own private lives and in this case as a BL couple who have/were in a real romantic relationship. They played different roles in different series and experienced their own personal dramas in private, such as breakups and returns, but this did not affect the quality of their acting. Each series was different and showed different characters and their fates, and the actors identified more or less with the characters in the series or not.
I understand the intentions, but I'm not thrilled.
To be honest, I'm a little disappointed. I liked the concept of Mick and Ton playing different roles and different characters better than Mic and Ton playing characters from TV series and also playing these "real actors". There are too many layers here for me! In my opinion, it completely changed the feelings and the way of attachment to the characters, complicated the plot and made watching the series a bit tasteless because it revealed the unrealistic nature of the series and showed us that the characters are just an illusion. I preferred to stick with the fact that the characters X/Ping really loved each other and the tragedy of fate separated them... I don't need information that the actors quarreled and broke up or cheated on each other while playing the roles... The series itself would be perfect for me......
For example, it was possible to partially document the recording of the series, although not in the form we are seeing it now.
It could be a completely different show or something though...
Of course, that doesn't change the fact that Mick and Top are great actors with incredible chemistry and I really regret that this is probably their last project because I know Top will change his partner... just like in this show.
These last episodes ruined everything in my opinion.

Kind of knew with it being China there would be a bromance (2nd duo) but I'm happy with that. It's impossible…
I think so too........exactly

If it is not a series for the Chinese market, one might expect a happy ending. However, if this series is also intended for a Chinese audience, I fear that, like any queer thing, it will end in misfortune with the Egyptian plague and a global pandemic caused by the relationship of two gay people.
But, seriously, I hope that this series ends on a positive note for the main couple, because it would give hope and courage to face their feelings and fight for themselves. I also have the impression that the LGBTQ community has a certain connection to this production and they show us that gay people (or queer people in general) can and do want to be happy, love each other and be together like any other person. That is my wish and I spit over my left shoulder in the hope that it will come true. Love is love, right?

Those kisses were a bit...pitiful though.
This is a Chinese drama and it is a great step forward for the Chinese to show boys kissing. In my opinion the kisses were beautiful because the characters are young and I think they were their first kisses and that's how first kisses are; awkward.

So the guy in the photo was ''the brother" and not " the boyfriend " .... That makes more sense to me to be honest…
You're right, I thought so too, so I think that in the next 5 episodes terrible things will happen like a war with an scary father or even a breakup, only to make us a little happier in the last episode or not either.....
However, I only see a chance for the main couple, unfortunately not for Liu and Ton.

It could have been a quite good Thai BL series. But why did they call it "Love Sick"? In comparison with the original…
this remake 2024 is very bad as well as the whole script and the behavior of the main characters. The plot with the lesbian Eim is hopeless and Puna's internal suffering did not make sense at all

I think Liu is completely aware of his feelings but also that being romantically involved with a boy who is not…
unfortunately yes

I'm really hoping and praying for a happy ending! I'm so terrified it'll be a sad ending, I'm really hoping I'm…
Anyway, all four deserve a happy ending, but I think we will suffer a little... I think (this is just my feeling) that Liu and Ton will not have a happy ending as a happy couple, because of the resemblance to his deceased brother (Liu's mother will be a big problem), the big age difference and Liu's professional position.
As for Lu and Xiao, I hope for a happy ending if the sadistic dictator father, who is probably a mega homophobe, doesn't separate them.

yes, it is possible, although I do not know how much influence Lu's father will have on the situation? I think that it is not without reason that he was introduced into this story as this evil spirit and as this sadistic and domineering monster? As for Liu and Ton, this bad ending seems logical to me, if only because of the mother

I am more and more fascinated by this series, the action takes place in my professional areas and it is so authentic literally in every inch.
I love that the characters have red noses from the cold, untidy hair and a natural skin appearance, with everything that happens at this age.
The explosion of feelings emphasized by fireworks was literally brilliant and caused goosebumps on my back. We got kisses, a few kisses, including a kiss on the neck during a night walk. I think that the temperature of the main couple's relationship is rising and will soon be red hot, so I am very curious how these scenes will be shown, if they will be shown at all... However, I think that in such an authentic and real series our characters, like every young and in love person, will have sex! (we've seen them in bed together once, so...?) In my opinion, everything is leading up to that. I'm afraid, however, that Lu's father and his sick behavior will play a big role in this series and I'm afraid it won't end with a happy ending. Maybe I'm imagining things? Maybe I'm wrong, maybe this time our main couple will be the first happy gay couple in Chinese queer cinema?

Then we have Liu's mother.... What kind of mother is she... While she is still mourning for her son but cursing…
The mother is mentally ill and does not live in the real world. Liu has a real problem with how to conduct a romantic relationship with someone who resembles his deceased brother so much, and is much younger, and also a guy.

I don't know Chinese that well yet, I'm just learning, but I think the translation into English isn't always good. However, based on Liu's words, you can easily understand his indecision. Tan reminds him too much of his dead brother, and that's the reason why it's hard for him to develop romantic feelings for Tan. Is that not understandable? His brother's death and grief are still fresh, Liu is still processing it... I think he just needs time. However, I have a strange feeling about all four of them, I feel it in my bones that these romances won't end happily.
