I have to admit that this series is a complete fiasco for me as a PondPhuwin fan. I think I expected too much, I think I wanted too much and I think I saw too much in this couple and got nothing that would make me feel good. PP lost chemistry, they can't kiss (this mainly concerns Phuwin) and they definitely shouldn't play the role of a romantic couple but at best friends who don't have to kiss. In general, the series was too loud for me, the characters were too loud and played theatrically, I think the director wanted to bring too much comedy into the series and it just turned out stupid. In my opinion, the couple Q and T didn't fit together at all and I don't understand why S had to play a childish guy. Only the couple F and T gave me a bit of a nice feeling but they were too scripted. I don't know if it's the director's fault or the script or both, but in my opinion the series is a failure and this disaster is only saved by beautiful views, monuments and a bit of Thai tradition and culture.
My Stand-in the series itself and its ending were very satisfying to my imagination as a BL fan. The series contained everything I want to see and feel when watching a BL series: an interesting script, tense action, romantic plot, hot love scenes, a bit of violence and pain, sadness and despair, and to crown it all like a cherry on top of the cake, a great and tear-jerking HAPPY END. So far, this is definitely my favorite series, both in terms of the script and the artistic setting in the form of beautiful music and wonderful shots and photos.
PS. Ming, although it might seem impossible, has completely redeemed himself in my eyes. Sol turned out to be a very devoted friend who recognized his mistake and failure without turning away from Joe. Even Ming's stern father endeared me in a sympathetic way because I somehow understand him. I remember my father telling my boyfriend that he would stab him in the back if he hurt his daughter/me. This didn't happen because I was out of my mind. LOL. To Sum it up: I am very satisfied and now that I know the ending, I can watch this series again, at ease.
I don't know, I'm not convinced by this series even though we had Peem/Phum "moments". I was waiting for their relationship to develop, I was waiting for a romance, I was waiting... I don't know exactly for what, but it didn't happen. Even though Pond and Phuwin tried to play their roles in some way, I don't feel their closeness and affection at all, which only disappoints me. I don't think it's their fault, I think their roles are poorly written and the director ruined this series. In addition, it seems that Q and T suddenly became the main couple of the series from about the 10th episode, and I don't know why. Q and T are generally nice actors, but they don't fit together at all, and in this series, they seemed disgusted by the roles they were assigned. The bed scene was just uncomfortable to watch and I quickly skipped it. The only couple that convinces me is F and T. I think in my eyes they save this series. Their characters are the closest to reality and are pleasant to watch. Also, I keep wondering what happened to Pond and Phuwin. They have been working together for so many years, they have two series together where they are romantic couples, they have kissed at least a million times, but in this series they look like beginner actors whose closeness and kisses are very uncomfortable, even very very uncomfortable judging by the way they kiss, especially Ph... I also have some reservations about the birthday party. Peem gives his boyfriend some flowers. Hello???? it's completely unrealistic. I would expect a sexy bunny or bear costume, but not tulips in a pot. I was also surprised by the morning after the night together, when Peem simply made breakfast himself and ate it alone. Wouldn't it be more natural if he served his boyfriend breakfast in bed? In that respect, I just don't care about the final episode.
I don't know why I came across this series now and how I came to watch it, but what has already happened cannot be undone, right? It is a fairly realistically told story about two men who, for various reasons, do not believe in love (or apparently do not need or want it at all) until they meet someone special. Youth and student life is characterized by experimentation, getting to know many people and drinking alcohol at parties, which provides opportunities and creates favorable situations for casual and random sex and constant partner changes, especially when there is a lot of alcohol involved. This is what happens to our heroes! Random sex in a club toilet without protection (at no point was there any sign that anyone was using a condom) filled me with amazement and fear. I think that when producing such series, directors could and should somehow signal that people should care about protection from diseases, especially when it comes to a story about gay love. This is a big minus point of this series for me.
The second minus is the supporting couple number 1, PING and TAB! Totally unacceptable. At no point did I feel interested in these two characters, there was no romantic chemistry, nothing, and I don't know how these two guys suddenly got romantically close? Especially since they lived vicariously through the lives of the main characters and the only thing they really cared about was those two guys like they were writing a gossip column in an online newspaper about them!
The only real plus for me is the supporting couple number 2, Prince and Gear! They are both sweet, they are both so tender and their feelings develop so subtly that they have become my favorite characters in this series. Also, I think their kisses are one of the sweetest kisses in the BL series.
And that's it, I can't say more about this series because if I hadn't seen it, I would have lost nothing.
After watching episode 1, I know that this series is not for me. I have noticed a certain trend in manga (maybe this trend is not new at all) and I am not keen on it; the beautiful, tall and intelligent and very polar hero #1 has a little admirer. This little admirer is a recluse, is a bit stupid and has trouble getting along with people and is madly in love with our beautiful hero #1.
How many such series have there been, starting from "Life with him" to "My Personal Weather Forecaster".
I thought it would be something more original, which is a shame because hero #1 is really very pretty....
Since we saw Ming pushing the invalid chair that Joe was sitting on, I hope it all ends like it did in the novella, with a happy ending if you can call it that. I can't imagine Joe walking out that door and episode 12 being about Minaga's revenge on Tong..... No, it's about Ming and Joe LOVE and we'll see it (I hope) in the last episode. (Otherwise I will scream, sue BL industry and demand high compensation for my mental health. YEA!)
Agree, I also thought the first kiss was pretty good. But know it's kinda meuh. Feels like Phum (Pond) is trying…
Exactly! Peem agreed to go on a date with Phum, but he did it as if he didn't want to at all. However, based on his previous behavior (he accused Phum of taking advantage of him several times), it seems that this was the question he was waiting for. I don't know if maybe the way Phum asked or the place and time of the question were inappropriate, as well as the fact that Phum didn't have flowers with him? In general, I don't understand such a long storyline (12 episodes) when other couples had already gotten together... especially because Phum had a rival!
Peem, on the other hand, kissed Phum in front of the university like there was no tomorrow, but reacted to Phum's attempts to kiss him (initiated by Phum) with dryness and pursed lips. At the same time, he claims to love Phum and that he is his boo!
I don't know what's going on but Peem's behavior towards Phum is at least strange and very contradictory. Peem seems to be in love with Phum but he shows it in a very strange way or actually he doesn't show it at all and I don't know why? I understand that lovers sometimes tease each other but Peem teases Phum in a strange way and is arrogant towards him. I also don't know why there has been such a regression in kissing with PeemPhum? What happened and who came up with it? Let's remember the passionate kiss in the first few episodes before university? Phem was out of breath and Peem was bursting with love energy. That kiss looked like a love kiss which can't be said about the kisses we see now. I don't know if the actors (PondPhunwin) stopped liking each other or they have a problem kissing on camera or it's an absurd decision of the director, but these PP kisses suck...... I don't want to see Peem (Phuwin) purse his lips and press them on Phum's mouth, why? A lot of time has passed from episode 2 with the passionate kiss to episode 14, is what happened between PondPhuwin? I'd rather not see it and keep the memories of PP's passion for the NLMG series.
Can you love something and not love it at the same time? That's how it is with me and this series. I love the character of T, I love his sincere eyes and his innocence that flows straight from the transplanted heart. I love that I was able to see and recognize a bit of traditional Thailand and ancient customs that are thousands of kilometers away from Central Europe... there is a world full of fascinating views, incredible nature and wildness, and a very simple, austere life. But I don't know why I always felt a little uncomfortable when T and P were close to each other. I always felt uncomfortable when they gave each other those long looks. It seemed so shy and uncomfortable at the same time... I don't know how to explain it, but I always felt embarrassed. So I love these stories and I don't love them at the same time.
If this whole story doesn't end with a happy ending for Joe and Ming, I don't know what I'll do.....I agreed with myself that I would hate Ming for the rest of my life and what happened?
I'm not excited about this series... I don't understand some events and I don't understand PP's bubblegum romance. It took 13 episodes for the couple to finally become an official couple despite their feelings already having been confessed before and Peem admitted that he loved Phum before officially asking him to date him. I also don't understand Peem's reaction to this question since he seemed impatient or bored (I can't decide). Actually, I feel sorry for Phuwin and Pond for these roles because after Futs and NLMG, they are much further ahead in terms of acting and chemistry as pair and could play more ambitious roles than this. I also find the Q and Toey couple unacceptable. They act unnaturally and as if they are ashamed or uncomfortable playing their roles. Yes, the story behind their romance is interesting but showing this story on set doesn't convince me at all. The idea of friendship itself is nice and cute, but also very unrealistic and too theatrical. Unfortunately, I am not enthusiastic about this series and I am sad because I was really waiting for it.
I literally hate this show. I watched the whole thing and I find Mr. Cook to be an absolute red flag. What a horrible character this is. A jealous, toxic, unlikable guy with narcissistic traits who drags those around him down with his gloomy disposition. He left your actor leaving a note with two words: What kind of perfidy is this? he just wanted to punish him for his failures and lack of success and failures in the past. He argued that he couldn't stand the gnashing of teeth and popping of his pimples. Ok, what kind of reasons are these ???? When the cook realized that the actor had stopped fighting for him, he suddenly felt remorse and within five minutes explained his actions over the last long months. Horrible, sick character and sick plot. An obsessed crazy actor fighting for his lover who treated him so horribly. Some people say it's romantic and sweet, but I think it's a sick model that's sold as sweet, and it's very dangerous.
We've come a really long way from point A to the Happy End! I think they could have taken a shortcut and skipped the boring parts, but the happy ending is really happy, so it was worth the wait. I'm satisfied, I'm glad that despite the criticism I have of 7 episodes, the remaining three turned out so well that they made up for it and put the whole series on a good, high place. Episode 10 is very emotional, it's very sexy, but also very Japanese sexy! What I consider a big revolution in Japanese BL is that we are shown that male characters have really beautiful and passionate sex with each other and that, as responsible men, they use condoms to protect themselves from diseases. I like that because it does a bit of advertising for prevention and that's very important and helpful. I liked the atmosphere, a bit hidden and a bit close, so it was clear that the characters were really acting that scene and the camera wasn't just filming it from the right angle and creating illusions. I liked the warm mood that the lighting created, adding a few more degrees to the already hot scene. The chemistry between them was really great, they had great charm and seemed very authentic. In general, the whole episode was so intense that I could swallow it without even breathing! We had so many emotions, especially in the street scenes where the characters sat on the asphalt like boys and got carried away by their emotions. What's also great is that the difference in social status between them completely disappeared (I mean Assamis' popularity as a very famous actor), they were both just two people in love with each other and trying to show it to each other. To sum up my thoughts, I think you wouldn't miss much by skipping about five episodes of this series, since they didn't contribute much to the overall plot and the last episode made up for all that lacking. Judging by the messages on Assamis' phone, it seems we can hope for 2?
It looked like the show's tourist sponsor wanted to advertise the hotel and beach with a restaurant that serves…
I'm sorry to be a bit silly but what does nc stand for in this context? furthermore it's a fact that things got interested when he started taking of his jacket but that was ended with a cut real quick. I'm almost convinced that somewhere pictures were posted of them without shirts on, maybe in some extra content, so I'm wondering if there's a connection to any of the scenes? Or if it was just a trick to get more curiosity and hype around the series.
PP lost chemistry, they can't kiss (this mainly concerns Phuwin) and they definitely shouldn't play the role of a romantic couple but at best friends who don't have to kiss.
