POB was a historical drama while this is a xianxia (technically a wuxia but I believeit has many xianxia elements) ..you are talking about different genres. Xianxia should have an "otherworldly" CELESTIAL FEEL. Someone is saying dragon has been done to death...lol! ITS A CHINESE DRAMA. Dragon is such an important part of mythology ..from where xianxia takes inspiration. Besides, POB totally killed the vibe of the entire drama for me in the last 4 eps. This genre usually has sooo much trauma that a drama like this is actually refreshing and a pairing as compatible as this is rare for xianxia. That's why people like it
