She doesn’t come from a wealthy home, in the novel she’s from a soldier’s family.the soldier took a spear…
Now I know why Grandma is more mature than both Wei shao and Manman. Palace politics is actually the worst kind of politics...brothers killing each other... wives and concubines fighting for power and ministers fighting to control the king. She understands politics and therefore, she sided with peace.

I have a doubt about the customs. Why do the husbands refer to their wives by both nicknames and titles, while…
Firstly, most women married men MUCH OLDER THAN THEM in age. There were hardly any couples of the same age. So, women didn't refer to men by their nickname but men, who spoiled their wives did use the nickname. Its just weird to refer to someone older than you by their nickname like that. You will see women use words of endearment for men... but those aren't nicknames. In Xianxias, you will see older women/goddesses using nicknames for their younger/similar aged lovers.

I just LOVE how he thinks too much about her comfort. Sir, she has 3 personal maids, more maids you have given her, cooks, cleaners, a loving husband, husband's grandma, generals who listen to her and above all, A BRILLIANT mind. She's very comfortable in your house. Chill !

The law says "innocent until proven guilty". People are wise enough to follow that. This isn't a drama where people…
Because false allegations have been recorded in many cases. She is innocent until she is proven guilty and the onus to prove allegations is on the ones asserting them. You don't have to know the celebrity...You should just know the law. If they have any evidence...they should give it to the court and solve it legally. YOU OR SOCIAL MEDIA DON'T HAVE ANY AUTHORITY ON THIS. The very existence of social media courts is bizarre

She actually concieved before he died
I guess she didn't observe the ritual. Its not mandatory but you're expected to do it. She lives in an isolated place...and manman lives in a more formal and organised society. Everything is more formal for manman. I guess the sister didn't bother with it because he's all she has and they eloped. Also, THE HUSBAND'S FAMILY CULTURE may not have these rituals...so that also matters. The women are considered to be a part of the husband's culture. Manman and Wei Shao come from similar societies. I think something is going to happen to him...because they do pregnancy tropes very fast when something ominous is coming

Its about diplomacy...not war! They have been strategising throughout the drama and trying to make alliances.…
My gosh! The whole point of the show is that HE DIDN'T DO IT...because the whole point of the show is mending ties. I have watched all 30 episodes and I know what I am talking about. You are stuck on the very few first episodes and completely ignoring the incredible growth the show has had. FORGET IT. Clearly, you don't like the drama for its strength..and that's politics and diplomacy. You wanted some high voltage overdramatic enemies war drama and I am soo glad it's something FAR MORE MATURE than that

So far am loving this drama and all characters but it is kinda hard to ignore the ML violence tendency toward…
He doesn't have violent "tendencies"...he is a violent warlord and they haven't tried to hide that..He is like that to everyone regardless of gender but he does exercise a lot of restraint with the people he loves. Otherwise, his execution doesn't discriminate on the basis of gender. He is a whole monster to his enemies and the FL had a taste of that "twice" before they officially started liking each other and got together. She did spy and honestly, she ended up putting soo many soldier's lives in danger....so, I am gonna say that his initial scary reaction to her (for that box) was not without a reason...usually, people got lashes and stuff for spying allegations during that era

I could care less about Lady Yulou, all her schemes have backfired, even WS has caught on, which is good. As for…
Wei Shao always knew about her lie...even the FL had no idea. He kept a watch on her and didn't alert her fully.... he actually gave many chances to her to just GIVE UP (because of the brother's dying wish) but she continued to be a bitch.

They had a peace treaty...the drama is ABOUT holding up the peace treaty and re establishing trust. Its not abou PRESENT and active war type of rivalry . They need to work to hold up the treaty...its given! Their focus has always been Restoration of ties throughout the drama NOT SHOWING RIVALRY all the time

It wasn't about family clash...it was about family "History". History is important but they learnt from it and moved on.

Can somone who read the novel tell me how was WS ruthles to Manman because i saw comments he was so much ruthless…
So the novel and screenwriting are generally different for a lot of chinese dramas. The novel is actually more of a bodice ripper genre (where violent s** is used for fetishization). Screenwriting is generally altered...Bridgerton is an example of how bodice rippers are adapted into screenwriting generally.
Its more of a stencil ...because the premise of these dramas is sometimes interesting. Interestingly, these novels are mostly written FOR WOMEN. So, you can just see it some very dark p0rn fantasy. I personally think that this genre should evolve and stop using these tropes. I mean...I don't judge p0rn fantasies of people but ..jeez! I think the writing style should change because of popular demand. You can separate the drama from the novel for cdramas.
