Its very different from a blind date. In asian cultures, parents wishful thinking isn't a blind date. A blind date is when the man and women MEET WITH THE PURPOSE OF MARRIAGE IN MIND and you make the intention explicitly obvious to the other party. He completely ignores his mother and does WHAT HE FEELS IS RIGHT. In previous episodes, he didn't go to the house and went to his uncle instead. I think I am quite the opposite. I saw him in a republican drama and loved his performance in it. So, I immediately warmed up to his character in this. He managed to create amazing chemistry with her (the previous FL) and with this FL. I think he has that star quality which is superior to what is "perfect visuals" at the moment in China. Also, i found the 2nd ML to be more mature looking than both of them...so I checked his age...and he is indeed much older which is appropriate for his "older brother" role.

Well, I have seen about 3-4 dramas of hers. I have given her mlre chances than i normally give other actors. I don't hate her as a human but her performances are mostly underwhelming to me.
