Thank you for this! When watching the show i just felt something off about the FL.. I wasn't sure if it was the acting or the character but I couldn't relate to her at all and I always like strong, capable FLs. I just couldn't put my finger on why. I think I just feel like the FL is always wearing a mask, she's very clearly acting and does come off a little pretentious at times. Her character to me was very flat apart from some emotional scenes. My friends all didn't see an issue so I thought it was me!

Abuse? You call that abuse? You're downplaying real abuse. After they knew each other better, he was always supportive of her. He always believed in her ability to succeed and never put her down or killed her confidence. He hurt her with his words and actions, yes, but you cannot tell me that in your life you have never hurt another person with yours and going through what he went through, it's easy to say this from your high horse. He didn't want to drag her down with him and he was in a very bad heads paced. You sound like the mother in the story.

I agree, I think the scriptwriters did too much to the plot that it lost the light-hearted appeal in the first half and got too serious. The sequence of events follow the novel closely but there was no love triangle and no 2ML/2FL sub romance, no big demon lord villain and the FL wasn't an assassin. I think they did too much with the addition of all those subplots. I skipped most of the demon arc other than the romance portion.

I think this review was more entertaining to read than the drama itself was to watch. Kudos to you!
