idk if this counts but plustor was a former gmmtv actor and was open with his sexuality/posting pictures with his ex-boyfriend while he was still in the company. ofc he's not necessarily "big" like the main bl actors with their ships are, but it's the thought that counts i guess
π unironically, i found this as the most easily rewatchable show to put on as background noise when doing work. it's lighthearted with minimal drama so you don't really miss much but a bunch of childhood friends just falling in love. kiss scenes were still ass regardless. ik they're both each others' first official relationships but them kisses give high school and not college students which they're supposed to be. π
didn't care about this during release since i had a personal vendetta against LBC actors during that time (perth, in this case), then watched it when it was recommended on youtube since it made me remember this show existed a few days ago and idgaf about my vendetta anymore since i've outgrown it, and loved it (to an extent).
personally, perth and chimon are both strong actors individually. but ngl, i didn't really care for the cheesy romance parts (somewhat), but the scenes where they were always at each others' throats/consoling each other were LIT, babyyy. the ending of episode 10? the shower scene at episode 11? those parts were the romance for me. there was tension.
idrk if this was based on a novel, but if it isn't, those last quarter episodes pissed me all the way off. they brought pepper's character in a few times in the first few episodes, lost him midway, then all of the sudden he's relevant to plot for the sake of drama between sailom and kanghan, LMAOOO. and saifah, baby, don't be weak in the knees. let that man rot in jail and stand up, wtf.
either way, 8.5. chimon, you are so loved. perth, you alright, my man.
didn't necessarily watch it since all i saw were mostly clips of "those" scenes on twitter, and all i can say is this gonna be so embarrassing for the actors and their careers afterward, ngl. like lmaooo, imagine this being the first show in your catalogue and you're asked about it on casting calls... good luck booking that stage they speak of like what rihanna said, i guess.
a decent show but i swear to god both of the leads and their choices frustrated the fuck outta me, but i understand why they did what they had to do, so i guess it just is what it is /:
opening theme song was a banger though. i'll give them flowers for that.
i didn't watch the anime/read the manga for this so i'm commenting with a clear conscience, but this was just rather... mid.
the build-up was lacking so badly, and it's like many things were intentionally left out to make viewers who know about the anime/manga be the ones to fill in the puzzle. i understand what the ending wanted to deliver but it fell so flat. backstories were lacking as well. and i know that some shows utilize breathing time in between character dialogue a lot for impact, but there was just sooo much dead air as well. the amount of time mafuyu just took too long to speak irritated me baddd. but oh well, it is what it is i guess.
Plustor's the one from "Friend Zone" and "Friend Zone 2" with the whole Singto-Nat cheating story! :)
