Just finished Ep. 30; and I could say many, many positive things. But when the curtain fell on the finale, the first thing I practically shouted was "Season 2!" Absolutely- sign me up, this was such an excellent series!

I'm enjoying all the characters, the plot, etc. But I had to weigh in tonight on Hu Yi Xuan and Zhao Jin Mai, who work together so beautifully in this. I'm just eating it up. The comedic timing, the funny expressions; all done perfectly, and not overdone. They would make a great friendship duo in any kind of plot, sitcom, movie, you name it. I'm also glad HYX landed this role, as I've been a long-time fan since 'The Blue Whisper,' where she first crossed my radar. Kudos to all, this is a great series!

This series is so well done that I'm almost at a loss for words here, because there are too many great things I could say. Hardly know where to begin. So, I mainly want to focus on Director Huang Ying Xiang; and the Screenwriter(s) as well, and give them a big shout-out. Thank you for giving us such an awesome show, with a FL who never ceases to amaze me with her brilliance and compassion. Tan Song Yun is playing the part perfectly. But everyone has acted their hearts out, and sometimes greatly affected mine in the process. And the pace is perfect. No choppy scene edits, etc.

Another thing I love about this drama is that the twists and turns are often unpredictable. I've been fooled several times now about what may be coming next, which is awesome. Predictable plot points get boring, so this series is the one to watch for those who like clever surprises. Kudos to all!

This series very much deserves the 8.5, and I'd give it a 9.5 easily! Ai Mi has long been a very professional, powerful, convincing actress. After all, she's been acting since she was 6 or 7. Her performance in this is off the charts great, imo.

Kudos to the cast, crew, everyone for making a drama that ended all too soon, if you ask me. (That's a hint for them to make a Season 2 if possible).

Some trivia: There are a total of 1,084 words, and/or 5232 letters & numbers in this article, give or take a couple numeric digits. All that to say that no matter how much mud is slung against her anytime or anywhere, I positively adore Lu Yu Xiao, and continue to support her career. That's my '+' spin on things for one of my favorite actresses for July 6, 2026! 😉

Oh, and I intentionally said nothing against ZLH, as I'm neutral on him pretty much. All this controversy will work out and be forgotten in time.

Actually, I read the article at 163.com that Shen Li posted below. It is a good article overall; and has several positive things to say about Qing. Never mind the provocative word 'accused" in the title. It says she is good friends with Bai Lu, who has helped support her career. They have a mutual respect and admire each other's work, it further stated.

Here is an excerpt on Qing's most recent drama, "Seeds of Scarlet Longing": "Netizens who have followed it are crazy about it, saying that this drama is really sweet to the heart, and the interaction between Zheng Yecheng and Zhao Qing is too good".

So, I recommened it as an informative read. And the title's use of the word "accused" is a bit harsh, so I wonder if "compared" would make more sense. Here is the link:

Like Phanindar said just below, I was also very impressed with LMY's acting and charisma as the Princess in First Jasmine. How has such an amazing actress not been offered some main roles? Or to put another way, I hope Mu Yun would soon be cast as FL in a modern business drama, or Wuxia. Adding her to my list of 'new' (newly discovered) faves. Much success to you in the future, Mu Yun! 🥂❤️

On the other hand, if this is all they've got, which is nothing, then I think Bai Lu is in really good shape. And other than one segment that really troubled me, when he sends her back to Lishan so quickly for no good reason, I am still thoroughly enjoying the series.

Not to add more fuel to the Weibo busybodies' fire, but...what, OH what if the liquid in the cups wasn't even tea, but plain water??? I shudder to think.

MDL must have heard you and corrected it to 1993, because I just checked his profile page and it says that now. From 1.30.93 to 6.4.26 is 33 yrs, 125 days. Way too young, so sad!

I think the recent surrogacy rumor is 100% nonsense, made up by by someone using the story of Chinese billionaire Xu Bo and his ex-girlfriend, Tian Jing. She is a real but different person altogether.

Bo's ex-girlfriend spells her name 'Tian Jing'. Jing Tian is being falsely accused, apparently by someone with an axe to grind. Who it could be is anyone's guess.

Just finished TIO and she was amazing! What a marvelous actress...she can go from sweet and playful to deadly fighter in a split second, with ease. S2 of TIO is coming soon looks like, so that's awesome.

Although, I'm not sure my heart can take the suspense and stress of another round of 36 episodes of Yun doing what he does best. Okay, yes it can. 😉

I first saw her in a support role in 'Blossoms in Adversity', which imo was a very good series (scored a high 8.7 here on MDL, which often rates a bit on the, um, frugal side). Her performance in that was incredible to me, and I immediately began looking for her other roles. Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in that, and her character is powerful and amazing in this as well.

Soon after, I saw LYX again in 'My Journey to You,' which was also very well done. (MJTY is my favorite performance by Esther Yu). Those are my two recommendations for that genre for LYX.

I started watching C-Dramas several years ago, and have become more and more addicted as time went on. So, I hope you continue to enjoy the ride going forward!

Saw a YT vid on this manufactured "controversy" and watched the very scenes the nattering nabobs were pointing fingers and screeching about. That nonsense prompted me (once I cooled down) to send her more flowers here on MDL. Meanwhile, I imagined or envisioned these and any future attacks backfiring completely, ultimately resulting in a huge wave of support and love for the rest of her career and life. Yeah. That's pretty much it from this corner.
