A Tale of Thousand Lies
An unpredictable phycological thriller drama that manages to keep you in the dark almost until the end. The mystery part is very interesting and suspenseful. Highly detailed with many twists and turns, the story requires the audience's full attention from the very beginning, because a lot of information is not going to be repeated more than once and everything said will be important later on.
Regarding the romantic aspect of the series, I wasn't as convinced. It needed a stronger build-up or less space in the plot by skipping any unnecessary scenes, so it felt more naturally integrated to the rest of the story and its style, rather than like a separate storyline. The fusion of the two genres just wasn't very successful, in my opinion.
As for the characters, they were well-developed overall, very intriguing, with some interesting traits. They were neither two-dimensional nor without depth, and everyone had their own goals and motivations.
The acting was good as well. Every actor did a fine job and I was more than happy to see Force and Book in roles that were very different from the ones they are usually cast in.
Overall, I do recommend this series, especially to fans of mysteries and complex plots. It has some issues with the whole execution and the writing, but it's still a drama with a lot of layers that will keep your attention, and the payoff will be worth it.
