I dont understand why this keep happening to HMH. He is a great actor, everyone watching this drama because of HMH. Not some supporting actor/actress or being sidelined by other characters. Why is it so hard for production to see this. He is first biller for God Sake! by putting him at sideline its like hurting their own drama. well i guess we have different opinion. for me there are intense chemistry between RSB and LJL. i can feel it from their expression and eyes. he has good chemistry with his co star in LITC, BFTB. for me ZLH, i cant feel his chemistry with anyone, arthur i like him at recent project. so i guess all of us has different preferences

I believe that this case is very important to emperor because he probably know there are alot corrupted official involve in this case, including higher up ranking. So Lu Jiang Lai prolly given a task to capture all corrupted official. Since you are at ep 20, so i wont spoiled much, but Prefect Xu is just a beginning (first corrupted official being punished), there are more official involve in this case, Im not suprised even higher ranking people such as empress dowager might be involved. We'll see. We are yet to reach capital arch.

Why everyone else accepting him? No one really accept him but they forced to accept it because of Rong Shan Bao. No one can really say a thing to her.

That was his initial plan. He knew the corrupted officials were trying to harm him, so him being assassinated by one of his own guys was real. BUT he used the assassination to his own advantage meaning he became the bait for the corrupted officials in order to solve the case in the dark, while his advisor would become the next magistrate.

In order to find Madam Yang, he purposely fell onto the path that Rong always uses. He gambled that someone from the Rong family would save him and bring him back to the Rong household. But fate had a different plan for him he really got amnesia after his head bumped into a rock.

That’s why after he recovers his memory in Ep 12, he said things had become complicated, because he developed real feelings for Rong Shanbao. In his initial plan, he never intended to fall in love, because in his mind, solving the case was the priority.

it’s because RSB has a matured personality and understand his point of view. same goes to Lu Jiang Lai, he understand her responsibilities toward Rong family but he needs to prioritise his duty as a Magistrate (plus he is imperial inspector, extension of emperor. if he neglecting his task, he can be in big trouble which can implicating Rong family too)

RSB is a key witness. there is no other way because in court everything needs evidence. plus corrupted official has killed/paid off all people who knows madam yang. this is the reality.

but because of this case, RSB is slowly becoming herself. she is no longer becoming puppet of the family and her grandma anymore.

i love the dynamic between Lu Jiang Lai and Rong Shao bao. both of them give me mature couple aura and its refreshing to see. instead of throwing tantrum, both of them speak less words and understand each other instead. which is rare for me to see in C-drama or even K-drama

like what RSB said, yes he is wrong for doing things without telling her but she understands him. she is leader of rong family , her role is to protect her family empire while LJL is inspector imperial (an extension of emperor) and now prefect of Linji which his role is to bring justice and protect their society. so both of them are right. plus Im glad that FL and ML are mature couple where both of them understand each other
