i liked it
Another one that I really liked but it was forgetable. Loved the story and acting. Here's what I wrote at the time:Fantastic. Beautiful actors, great acting. Ngl, the plot was all over the place and can be confusing at times, but just trust the process and the plot always comes together seamlessly.
Very funny, great characters and this is literally the ONLY Chinese drama that I've watched where the parents of the main characters who are the "king/queen" or in this case, the "city master" aren't evil scheming monsters. I actually LOVED both parents of the main leads. And I'll never forget my fave duo Bai Bai and Rui Rui.
It does get boring and draggy in some parts but overall drama is an 8.5/10 but the ending is 9.5/10. Great dama, highly recommend.

Ooh ooh ooh. This one hurt. Many years later, I could still feel the lingering pain. Too much pain. Do not recommend TBH haha. Here's what I wrote at the time:it was good. First half was GREAT. This show was the definition of an emotional rollercoaster...literally. This show would make you feel happy, sad, mad, excited ALL in the same minute! You would definitely cry abt 58 times while watching this. I gotta warn you tho... when it was 3/4 of the way i became so emotionally exhausted that i felt heartless... that is the reason i didn't give it 10 stars. It hurt so bad that i didn't care anymore... i hated everyone (except sifeng ofc) and hoped they suffered as much as our ML did. overall it was a great ending, our main characters definitely deserved it after everything they've been through...
However, I give 100/10 stars for the ONE kiss scene tho! iykyk😉😋

Nah, Im sure I liked it... at the time. But again, to be honest, I do not remember a thing. I watched this after that banger of Ashes of Love, expecting another xianxia masterpiece, but it was lacking in various parts. Here's what I wrote at the time:UPDATE: Well... I'm finally done. The last couple of episodes did have me in tears however, I think this show deserves no more than a 7 because of the ending but I cannot bear to give it a low rating after all the happiness I felt in the first half of the show. I loved this but the ending felt very rushed so I will be changing my rating from a 9 to an 8.
Sooo, I’m like 3/4 done w/ the show and gahdamn the men in here is fine asffff esp Xuan Ji and Cinnamon ifykyk… you guys have my heart <3.. anyways, love the story plot, very interesting and funny. Character dynamics is PHENOMENAL.. they all have their own traits that I absolutely love abt them… I will make an update as soon as I finish the show, which I’m low key scared to cuz ppl say it’s not a happy ending :( WOULD RECOMMEND SO FAR

Come on. I watched it after that banger of Ashes of Love. Loved Yang Zi's acting but Lordddd her character here was getting o my nervessss, I had to take a break from her shows LOL. And another disadvantage is that I didn't find the male lead handsome haha so thats a con. But Here's my review at the time: "Good, not great. very long and draggy. To be honest, i do not remember a thing about this. Just that I think i like the main guy and that the main girl looked so AI. But I think I enjoyed it as a filler show. Nothing magnificent happened. It was not a good show to watch right after loving The Fox's Summer. This was also a witty show much it was just lowkey boring. I loved the first season so much, that I had to finish it. I do not remember it being as good as the first, there was definetly more misunderstandings and heartbreaks, but it was a happy ending, and that is all that matters. I think if I were to watch it now, I would definitely rate it worse, but for the time that it came out it was not bad. Still loved Tan Song Yun.Was this review helpful to you?

I believed I watched this right after the disappointment of Whirlwind Girl 2. And this completely healed me, it made me fall in love with Tan Song Yun more. She's so funny and quick-witted, in many of the characters she plays. I loved the storyline, it made me cry and made me laugh, and it was a great palette cleanser. I think I loved the man too, he's a little dramatic with the germaphobia but it made it all the more funny.Was this review helpful to you?

I cannot say much about the storyline because I am writing this review yearsss after I watched it so this review is based entirely on how I felt about it and still feel about it now. The drama that started it all. It will forever have a special place in my heart. The first place I fell in love with Yang Yang. The first place I feel in love with Tan Song Yun. The first drama that left me hanging and heartbroken. It doesn't deserve 5/5 ⭐️s but it was my first love.Was this review helpful to you?
beautifully written, painfully tragic, yet somewhat a happy ending.
Our main leads suffered so so much, and the universe gave them another chance—a very well-deserved chance. Many lives were altered, but if it were 1 life for the lives of many others, of course this was the better outcome. However, I am left somewhat empty. That's how you know it's a good story.It was overall worth the watch but def a one-time watch.
I love love the character arcs of some characters; their growth and resilience were very touching.
I minused 0.5 stars just because it suddenly got confusing at episode 8? , and I felt like some characters' stories were left unfinished.

beautiful pairing, great storyline
Wow, yet again, a stunning performance by the beautiful Wang Churan. I fall in love with her acting and visuals the more I watch her. And don't get me started with Cheng Lei. This is my second drama with him, right after Legend of the Female General and I watched snippets of him in My Journey to You, and OH MY LORD, is he so fineeeeee. Love these two's chemistry and visualllllsss. And their acting is beyonddd, one of the greatest actors that actually acts with their eyes and makes you feel everything they're feeling.Amazing plot. It got me hooked from beginning to end; I haven't binged a drama like this in a while. I thought it was like the many other transmigration storylines that I've watched before, but it is just as good, if not better, than the othersss. I am more of a serious, backstabbing, plot-twisting kind of drama watcher, so after watching the trailer, I thought I wouldn't like it so much because it seemed more comical, but boy, am I WRONG. I loved every bit of this funny, plot-twisting, heartfelt, gut-wrenching drama. I cried almost every episode, so you know it's good ASFF.
9.6/10 stars phenomenal. great ending.
(minus 0.4 stars for kind of rushed ending? and a LACK hot makeout sessions) hehe just being picky LOLOL

my other love
This was a huge jump from The Fox's Summer Saga in terms of emotional depth. I LOVED this even though it left me heartbroken. I definitely gave me similar feelings with Whirlwind Girl 1, so it hit a little too close to home when watching it back to back. I remember falling in love with the beautiful characters, amazing acting, captivating tension, and emotional damage it caused. I think this was my breaking point when I decided not to watch another show with a sad/cliffhanging ending. RIPWas this review helpful to you?
