It feels like more and more dramas are using kissing scenes, bed scenes and physical intimacy as the main hook to grab the audience’s attention while the actual story seems almost secondary. If this keeps becoming the trend in C-dramas, are modern romance dramas eventually just going to compete over who can push the intimacy further? Next year would be the year of c-drama soft porn lol. I bet Inter audiences would eat this up too... because they love chemistryyyyy.

Meanwhile, I see so many rising actors trending on Weibo every now and then with paid promotions and marketing accounts constantly hyping them up.
CZY himself is also very low-key and doesn’t really sell CPs that much. But nowadays, it feels like you need to constantly look cool on social media, buy trending searches, have marketing accounts praise you, and sell the CP as much as possible while the drama is airing. Otherwise, it can be really difficult to generate buzz and gain wider public recognition, no matter how well you perform in the drama.
